I like the thought of someone following FLY and then doing a runner with her newly laced up shoes!

Not doing so well on the list front. I've a cold and have a cough that's not good when I'm up and about but is a right nuisance when I'm lying down. I went to bed for a nap earlier but didn't sleep. I slept badly last night.

Done:-
~ roast lamb in the oven
~ 2 loads of washing on the line
~ put away stuff ironed last night
Still to do:
~ strip beds and do washing
~ more e-mails
~ sort out Christening gift
~ tidying up
~ lots more I guess!

I have been good and made 2 lots of flapjacks with DD's. Cherry and almond ones and choc chip ones. i was going to do them quickly while they were playing upstairs but i have felt i don't do enough with them so they had a bowl each and really enjoyed it.

Not long now until DS's are home.

I can take more medicine in a minute too which will be good.

Well we had a great party and it all went really well with old friends turning up which was nice from my old area.

Back now and looking forward to an easy evening vegging out. Flying will have to wait until tomorrow I think.

dh is away to the gym, I had an hours me time this afternoon had eyebrow/leg & underarm wax. Also had a 40 minute nap lovely
Elsnoto's hunger strike is over just ate some brocolli/courgette/carrot in cheese sauce & a full yogurt

Hi EHM I've just finished my tea of homemade Lasagne and chunky chips, it was very nice! Kids are almost finished it as well, it always goes down well here. Kids have been well fed here today, dp did them beans on toast for breakie, I made them a cheese, ham and salad sandwich for lunch and then their tea. Been busy at this end today and got everything done on the list I made earlier.

Thanks EHM. I hope for a good sleep tonight. I think I'll try to get a spare bed organised so that I can sleep there rather than disturb dh, if I start coughing. It's good to hear that your dd is eating well again. While I remember, did you get the passport sorted out?

Morning All

Dh has bought his works computer home!!!! YEY!! It is much better than the other one! (the monitor is huge compared to the other one, it make s me have to sit far away just to be able to see everything!)I now have a printer, fax and photocopier too!
Only thing is It doesn't have MSN ...will have to download it again.
All his filing cabinets and paper work are here too...OMG!!! I have my work cut out!

Simply I have started a thread on casseroles! I thought that was a brilliant idea. I can honestly say though I have never made one!!! My kids have probably never eaten one either! So I have no clue as to how to make them or what to put in them. [bush] MN really is very helpful, I have some good ideas now. (just hope Dh and the kids will eat it!)I love the idea of just having a big pot we can all just help ourselves to no matter what time I or Dh decide to have supper. The kids have quite a good routine, so supper is usually always at the same time for them, so they can sit properly at the table. I have to say though I don't always have supper with them as I get hungry later on, and Dh struggles to get home in time. I do usually end up making myself something quick, and Dh something else when he gets in. This means we all eat far to much "convenience" food, although I do try hard to cook proper meals. (lasagna, spag bol and pasta bakes etc are good as Dh and I can just reheat in the evenings...casseroles etc would be ideal too)

Anyway...rambling on!

I have to do a food shop this morning (we are back to 1 car again, and Dh has to go to work today, so I have to be out quick to pinch the car before he has to go!) I usually shop on a Thursday, but as Dh has had the car I'm overdue a shop.

Morning all

Luda I make loads of casseroles - they're great - the kids often have the casserole part then I bung some pastry on top of the left-overs and create a pie for dh and I I started out by using a couple of easy recipes but it's really very easy to just bung whatever you have left in the fridge in I expect it's similar with soups - I never make them but often think I should...

We've just had pancakes for breakfast. Dh is off to work soon too and I have to ferry the kids around to various activities today. I'm also hoping to catch up with an old friend for a cuppa at some point too

We've put the sofa covers back on this morning and they look really nice and clean Hoovered under the sofas while I was at it - it was awful but at least we've finally found ds's missing cyberman Need to get some washing in and do a quick whizz round generally but nothing much else - I am starting to realise how important it is to have a day off at the weekends

I am trying to motivate dd into going on a contact visit and getting ready for X who is coming in ten minutes to collect her.

I have done two loads of washing and hung one out to dry, tidied a very little and put out the bin.

Am off on my long run soon and then back to tidy before taking eldest dd to her tap exam this afternoon.

glassslipper good luck with the diy. We bought several tester pots yesterday. Which we tried out in the living room last night. blues for the bedrooms & warm yellows for the living rooms.
ludasounds very exciting with all the office stuff going on Casseroles are great convenience food, we cook ours in a slow cooker sometimes. When I worked I used to put contents in before I left for work, put on low & it would be ready when we came home.Lovely especially when its cold like today.

EHM I really want to keep on top of the ironing and I'd done a few loads so there was a pile ready for ironing. I was watching the Grease programme at the same time, so it wasn't too bad. I did a good bit the other day when the detective programme The Last Detective was on. Tbh, during the day I don't feel too rough except for feeling really tired from time to time. It's when I lie down to go to sleep that I start coughing every few minutes. So annoying. Good luck getting yourself sorted for your holiday.

I'm back from shopping, its all unpacked, and we have had lunch.
I am going to spend an hour or so sorting some paper work out.
I had to stop off at Pets at Home to buy a new filter for the fish tank....£7 for a three pack I nearly keeled over!!
Well at least the fish will be happy!

Right better dash, got washing to do and tidying aswell as sorting the paperwork.

Hello to all weekend flyers!
Just back from family get together, it was nice -my brother had a bouncy castle in the garden yesterday which was great for entertainiing all the kids.

Feel a bit tired and unmotivated but will now:

1. clear lunch and put shopping away
2. hang laundry
3. unpack

Hello...didn't get much filing done...ended up having a row with dh instead AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Still haven't hoovered so I'd better go do it....

Thanks to EHM and Jelley for finding me in the 'Debt Free' thread.

I've just been really busy for no apparent reason really. Lots of community work, buying my bf's wedding present, helping the GP med students, plus I'm trying to wean DS off PC and XboX games...he's also discovered Star Wars so I'm trying to steer clear of electronic entertainment atm

So...how is everyone? Los OK etc etc?

Been rather busy today. DH deined that the bedroom drawers needed rebuilding so I emptied drawers, transfered contents to other storage, did a mountain of ironing. stripped off all bedclothes 3 loads for WM (1 done and hung out, 1 in washer, 1 waiting) then there are the beds to make, more ironing, DS's uniform to organise. So I thought I'd have a break now before it gets me.

Yesterday I tidied DS's toys out of the front room, vacced and mopped downstairs, cleaned out the cat litter and plenty of general flying (dw and laundry) Plus we went to Toysaurus to get the new Pixar Cars die casts.

Chap coming round for a site survey for central heating tomorrow. Seems our house has a huge carbon footprint as we don't have it. I'm an environmental science graduate and that makes no sense whatsoever to me TBH

Afternoon everyone! Well, I've been busy today. Didn't sleep very well though last night as my DP had to go to hospital and was there for 6 hours and because I couldn't go with him, I was extremely anxious about him. He didn't get home until 4am! They think he has a tension headache and he should be ok.

Just polishing the kids shoes for school
2 kids showered

Got a lovely box of choccies from my new neighbours which I am slowly making my way through at the moment! I think I'm going to like my neighbours!

luda Sorry to hear about the row. It can't be easy, changing the working practices and I know from other couples that working from home can cause tension especially if there isn't a room free to use as an office.

How did you get on with your jobs Lm?
