Wall mounting a cordless vacuum-is it a thing?

Hi I've just bought a dyson v7 animal cordless and am very impressed with it. I'm really keen to wall mount it in my kitchen so I can grab it when I need it (three children, one of which has just started weaning and a dog) and so it can charge while not in use. Dp, however, says it's a ridiculous thought to wall mount it as nobody has their vacuum cleaners on show. So my question is, do you have your vacuum cleaner wall mounted on show or do you think it belongs in the cupboard? Happy Easter Sunday Grin

I don’t have one (may invest in one tho!), two of my friends have them and they both wall mount theirs for convenience!

We wall mounted ours in the undersatirs cupboard (helped that we have a plug socket in there). It’s not on show which is great but when not in use it means it is charging.

Get it wall mounted and enjoy the convenience.

I keep mine wall mounted. It’s so easy and I don’t think it looks bad at all!

Mines wall mounted but in a under stair cupboard, I wouldn't leave it on show just as I wouldn't with a corded hoover

Mine is wall mounted in my utility room but I have friends who have no utility room so it's on their kitchen wall. It's so much handier to store and access when it's on the wall.

My cordless Dyson is wall-mounted - tucked away behind a cupboard in the laundry room, though. Not sure I’d want to see it all the time in the kitchen.

We have ours in our utility room and the upstairs one in a cupboard , we are lucky enough to know someone who works at Dyson and get them half price

Mine is in the cupboard under the stairs....not wall mounted.

I don’t have wall space in the utility or kitchen and wouldn’t want it hung up anywhere else.

Ours is also wall mounted in the utility room. Handy to grab and it charges while on the wall.

Could you not make yourself a holster and carry it around with you?

I suppose you'd need quite a long flex though.

We have ours wall mounted at the top of the cellar head.

We have one mounted on the wall at work and I love it. I'm not sure I'd mount it in my kitchen unless it was out of the way

Ours is wallmounted. As a Rightmove addict I can confirm that lots of people wall mount them Grin.

Mines wall mounted in the utility room, don't think I would wall mount it where it could be seen tbh. I seem to be in the minority here and really hate mine.

How to people charge it when it's in a cupboard with no sockets? Only get a few minutes at a time so have to always put it back on charge.

Thanks everyone. I've managed to find a corner near the fridge freezer and bin where it could go and wouldn't be in plain sight. Think I'll mount it there and see how it goes. I'm hoping it's the answer to all my problems!

Ours is in the utility. But I would happily have it in the kitchen - probably behind the door though. Bloody love it!

Mines wall mounted in a cupboard. Its not for display it's just tidy and practical. The other option would be leaving it leaning and prone to falling down and the charger would surely become damaged. It's much neater on the wall out of the way.

Being able to put it behind the door of the lounge was part of the appeal. We know we won't use it if it's under the stairs. Pil mocked us and told us it was a stupid place to put it. They bought one and put it in the understairs cupboard and haven't touched it since.
