Card completed, and stamps bought and posted
D/w rinsing
Dark wash completed
White wash on
s/s kitchen
Washing up done (on draining board)
Phoned sister
Had a cup of tea (two .. am very good at this task)

Have just googled the remaining chorus'es of Good Morning starshine .. its wonderous .. shall be back to post it

Jelley · 04/05/2007 11:24

I thought [groin] was a deliberate mistake

aufish do you have a landlord/insurance to cover the fence?

DS slept through the assembly ..... they give "gold awards" and dd2 got one for improving her reading this term She usually gets them for being kind, so this one was exra special. She looked very proud standing up in front of the whole school.

I have more washing on the line, fish cooking, and clean washing to sort.

I've read the thread in between putting washing out etc but have forgotten most of it. Hello to all.

Penblwydd Hapus i ti luda! **

We'll help each other along shouldbe. My kitchen is a right tip atm and I need to get the spare bedroom for visitors coming this evening. I'm glad of the need to do it as I've got some things there I need to be ruthless with and maybe instead of moving them, I'll load them into the car and get rid of them. Good to hear that things are going well with dh. It's a long road to making a relationship all that you want it to be but if you keep working at it and want it to work, I'm 100% sure you'll get there.

yadda You're one of a kind!

Thanks Jelley for the thread. It is my favourite on MN.

bewilderbeast Loved the cousin it comment!
I got rid of some old glasses to the opticians for the developing countries some time ago. I feel a bit guilty that they'll be stuck in 1990s fashions but I'm sure they'll be grateful.

Hi to glassslipper and earlgrey and Aufish and lucyellensmum and tort. Have a good day all!

Right. I've got lots to do so I'd better make a list.

Done:-
~ sorted out cat for food and new litter tray
~ allowed the cat some walking around the garden time. She is a house cat, you see.
~ took ds to school today as his hayfever was bad and he was in a state physically this a.m. He was a bit better by 8.45am when I got him to school. Cross fingers he'll be okay today.
~ as I was in town, I did a big shop. Forgot to take a list, though, so bought too much cupboard stuff. Ooops.
~ unloaded and reloaded d/w
~ did a load and hung it out

To do:-
~ make up hideaway bed
~ take out and sort junk in spare bedroom and make up the bed
~ clean both fridges

tortoise · 04/05/2007 11:51

Oh dear! i haven't got anything done yet! been looking for presents for DD1 for her birthday!

Will go and make a start now.

shouldbe · 04/05/2007 11:52

yadda you do make me
Well done jelleys dd My dds school give little awards too - dd often gets them for "Being a kind friend" which is lovely but she got one last week for "Perservering at maths" (her worst subject) and it meant a lot I think they're a great idea.
Hello Simply I've reached the bottom of my ironing pile - there are still some of dhs jeans to do and a couple of pairs of my linen trousers but they'll have to wait cos I need to go and collect ds - I hope to get tehm ironed quickly before I make him some lunch then I have the afternoon free for play (and gardening, and tidying out dds wardrobe - I'm hoping she'll be willing to help with this after school)

See you all later

shouldbe · 04/05/2007 11:53

Tort tut tut - get on!
(mind you, looking for pressies sounds sooo much more fun )

tortoise · 04/05/2007 12:09

LOl shouldbe. I have picked up some bits and set up painting for DD's!

Our school has the well done medal. One for each class given out each week. Lovely idea.

tortoise · 04/05/2007 12:09

Forgot to say well done for reaching the bottom of the pile!

NineUnlikelyTales · 04/05/2007 12:34

Just a quick one flyers as I have got friends and my mum coming round later so need to do actual housework instead of coming on here talking about it for a change

Luda HAPPY BIRTHDAY [cake with candles emoticon]
Aufish Poor you with the fence, I would be fuming. I hope it's not too big/expensive a job to put right, but that's not the point is it?

Speak later,
nut

Aufish · 04/05/2007 12:48

Well update on the fence situation, the little gits who did it have been around and apologised for the damage. They have offered to do the repair job themselves and they are going to find out how much it is going to cost them. He did it because he was angry!!!!!!! I gave him angry! Gave him a right mouth full.

Have done my to do list except for the post office, am off there in a minute. Also going to get myself some lunch. One thing with being worked up is the fact that I've had a very productive morning, took it out on the toilet and my front room floor!

tortoise · 04/05/2007 12:52

Thats good news Aufish. Glad its all being sorted.

I have done the kitchen and hung up 100s of wet paintings!
Also packaged up 2 parcels to send to my mum(at last!).

Aufish · 04/05/2007 12:55

Well we will have to see about whether it will be sorted. I suppose we will have to wait and see on that one. Until he's outside my house with a pile of wood, nails and a hammer, I'm going to sit on the fence!

Jelley · 04/05/2007 12:56

Result on the fence aufish.

Argos order done. Spent too much but thanks to tax credits owed payment i can afford it for once!

tortoise · 04/05/2007 13:09

Also did an order on Toysrus! 10ft easy up pool £49 instead of £99! Bargain! OK maybe not essential purchase as i bought 8ft one last year but it was quite small and no filter! This one has a filter! I will try and look after it better this year!

SimplySparkling · 04/05/2007 13:41

Aufish I was watching Working Lunch a little earlier and it was talking about fence panels and someone said that a customer had to drive 60 miles to get one because of the current timber shortage. Excuse me! Do I see people yawning at the back, there? I hope the lad who is going to mend your fence is able to get suitable wood to do the job.

tort Just read your last post on the thread yesterday. You wouldn't have been jealous of me the other morning when I woke up really ratty because of dh's snoring or the next one when I woke up to find him nicking about a third of my side of the bed! He had a right telling off two mornings in a row!

luda I hope you're having a lovely birthday. 21 again, isn't it?

shouldbe · 04/05/2007 13:42

Tort shopping sounds exciting
Aufish hope the boy does come back and mend the fence.

I had a lovely lunch with ds we went to the village shop and chose all the bits for lunch together then came home and made it. He sat up and ate very nicely for a change so this may be the way to go (he's been dreadful lately). He's now asking to use the computer so I'd better get off and let him have a turn.

I'm off to put away the laundry before Doctors is on.

shouldbe · 04/05/2007 13:43

simply

tortoise · 04/05/2007 13:48

Lol SS. thats the down side i guess.
Lunch sounds lovely shouldbe.

Sun is finally out here. WM shouldbe finished soon then i can hang it out.

grouchyoscar · 04/05/2007 14:08

Hello ALL you FLY ladies and welcome to newbies

Been not online for a while so I've not had time to catch up on the threads. I trust everyone is OK and ready for the long weekend {{{hugs}}} for those who aren't well/ready or sick los

Been FLYing quite well, it's just part of my daily routine now. I never leave the bathroom without S&Sing sanitary ware, I always shine the sink and do worktops before starting anything in the kitchen and 1st morning jobs are load wm and unload dw. FLY is in my psyche now!

I organised the family holiday this week (then had to re organise as DH's boss vetoed it I have to make some pizza stuff today and that's about it. I'm having some down time now

Just thought I'd drop in to say Hello

Have a great weekend if I don't get back online

Aufish · 04/05/2007 14:08

All I can say is he better sort the fence out. He will be reminded of the fact everyday as he has to walk past our house every time he goes anywhere, he also only lives 3 doors down. As for the wood, well lets just mister who was on here the other day is quite fussy and won't have any rubbish! He has his uses!

SimplySparkling · 04/05/2007 14:13

grouchy! Good to see you. I hope you and family are well.

Aufish Can just imagine Mr Aufish out there with a tape measure, spirit level and stuff, checking the job is up to spec.
