Where do you put your tea towels when they're in use?

God this is boring. I'm so sorry. But yesterday I had such a tantrum at all the tea towels falling down off the radiator and I'm the only fucker who picks them up.

I don't like those little rubber things with Xs in them, and surely tea towels don't stay on normal hooks?

So, tell me, if you've cracked it, what do you do?

I have wee over the door rails for the lower cupboards and hang them on that

IntoTheFloodAgain · 05/02/2018 15:44

If I’m making the effort I have one folded by the sink and the other on the cooker door handle and I try to keep it to 2 in use max.

If I’m not, they’re just artfully flung around the counters.

Like this towel rail

CocoLoco87 · 05/02/2018 18:05

Over the oven handles. I don't have anywhere else to put mine.

coffeeforone · 05/02/2018 18:08

Over the oven door handle - again nowhere else to put!

Bluelady · 05/02/2018 18:10

Oven handle

Chasingsquirrels · 05/02/2018 18:10

Mine just get hung over the cupboard door by the sink.

There are some hooks on the side of one of the units, so they go there next to the oven gloves.

RustyBear · 05/02/2018 18:14

I have a couple of these - I think they were probably either from Amazon or Lakeland. Much better than the rubber push-in type, which always seem to lose their grip after a while.

IntoTheFloodAgain · 05/02/2018 18:16

@Chasingsquirrels I thought I’d posted that! Same style kitchen same style towels Grin

happymummy12345 · 05/02/2018 18:16

I hang ours on the handle of one of the draws.

BBTHREE76 · 05/02/2018 18:19

Over the oven door handle

onemouseplace · 05/02/2018 18:22

Oven door handle here as well.

southboundagain · 05/02/2018 18:23

We have a hook in the side of a kitchen cabinet, then we put these clips on whichever teatowel is in use as hardly any of our teatowels came with hanging loops:

FannyWisdom · 05/02/2018 18:25

We keep ours on the floor.
That's why we have 42,000.
I've tried all manner of hooks over the years but now I understand if I want a clean one to get it from the draw.

southboundagain · 05/02/2018 18:26

Oh, and our hook is screwed in - have never found any adhesive ones that don't eventually fall off.

Vitalogy · 05/02/2018 18:29

Oven door handle. Dries it doesn't it.

Chasingsquirrels · 05/02/2018 18:34

IntoTheFloodAgain LOL!

Thistlebelle · 05/02/2018 18:35

Oven door handle

Oven handles

MissWilmottsGhost · 05/02/2018 18:52

I put it on the oven door handle.

DH walks around with it draped over one shoulder, then abandons it as far from the kitchen as possible Hmm

wowfudge · 05/02/2018 20:20

We have a pull out towel rail next to the dishwasher - hand towel and tea towel live next to each other.

CapricornWithAUnicornHorn · 05/02/2018 20:47

One one the cutlery drawer handle for drying hands.

One on the oven door handle for taking hot plates in & out.

wowfudge · 06/02/2018 07:52

We have oven gloves for that - they live hung over the oven handle.

Rainatnight · 06/02/2018 08:01

Oh Fanny, I feel your pain!

A lot of love here for the oven door handle. I find if we do this then they end up on the floor FROM WHENCE DP JUST PICKS IT UP AND USES IT LIKE NOTHING HAS HAPPENED. And breathe...

wowfudge, your rails sound like the dream.

I like your little holders, Rusty.
