mummy2ashton · 23/04/2007 08:51

morning!

so far today i have managed to make myself a coffee and plonk down on sofa with the laptop. ds is still in bed after not going to sleep until about midnight last night .
today i have got to:
do 5 min room rescue of livingroom
do kelly's mission
do last night dishes
clear hotspots
go food shopping

but first i have to get a shower and take ds to toddler group at 10:30. monday is always a busy day for me.

does anyone ever do their weekly home blessing (you know the one where you have to spend an hour culling magazines and hoovering and emptying bins etc) on a monday?

mummy2ashton · 23/04/2007 08:52

oops meant to make that last question bold

ludaloo · 23/04/2007 09:26

Morning

I have walked the kids to school and nursery again today (Its even raining a bit too!).... no I'm not as good as you are thinking...DH has taken my car, so I had no choice!!

I'm a bit damp now though

shouldbe glad the kids liked the Happy Hippo...he's cool! My three made me play it over and over as well! (I played it a couple of times just for me too )

I did loads yesterday, managed to clear out DS's and DD2 clothes (2 bin liners of small or unworn clothes between them both!!)I cleaned the fridge, made a LDC, um...and some other bits I can't think of now!

Today I have to:
~Clean Fish Tank
~Do washing
~Tidy round
~D/W
~Hoover
~Mission

BFN XXX

ludaloo · 23/04/2007 09:29

ooooh mummy2ashton that's reminded me...its bin day today. And um, no, I don't home bless in general. (eeeeuuuurgghh, I hate that name for it ) I do a big clear out now and again, like a home blessing I guess, but I don't do it every Monday.

ludaloo · 23/04/2007 09:31

hmmmm...jelley you have reminded me too....must put a pile of washing away too...

Mhamai · 23/04/2007 09:53

Morning ladies, just a flying visit, boom boom! Won't be a lot of flying done in the mhamai household today as still under severe pressure re essay's, anyhoo will do the basics, grrrrr can't wait till I get these essays out of the way, well before the next batch of essay's so i can fly again. Just going to finish my coffee and lurk for a bit, have a good day everyone.

Jelley · 23/04/2007 09:55

No "home blessing", but add bins to my list. It is bin day, so when they have been I have to clean out the maggotty wheelie bin.

I do have set days for the bigger Home blessing jobs, but don't do them all on the same day.

ludaloo · 23/04/2007 09:59

Mhamai good luck with the essays (hope they get done soon)

Today I have to:

~Clean Fish Tank
~Do washing load on
~Tidy round
~D/W already emptied lastnight
~Hoover
~Mission done just toys and a beaker out of place
~Put bins out done
~Put pile of washing away

ludaloo · 23/04/2007 10:05

Hey...I forgot to say... I IRONED YESTERDAY!!!!

I NEVER IRON!!

I really never iron...but I sorted all the clothes yesterday, and discovered all the clothes that really can't get away without being ironed, all scrumpled in various wardrobes and drawers.

My whole family was in shock at the sight of me ironing!!! DD1 came in to the kitchen and said "I didn't see you put that up" (meaning the ironing board) then stood and watched as I ironed...asking a hundred questions as to how and why I was ironing. DS came in and asked "what's that?" and "where did you get that from?" (I had to explain that we have actually always had an iron...it just doesn't get used that often!)
DH then came in and said "Are we going somewhere?" (I usually iron if we are going out somewhere special )

AAAAHHHHH SIGH..... I really should iron a bit more shouldn't I!

tortoise · 23/04/2007 10:12

Morning all.
Well i managed to get ds's to school on time and had to smile at being able to say see you later .Normally its see you friday! Oh it felt good.
Had to change ds1's lunch this morning. I forgot he wanted to take a flask of tomato soup. 1st time we have tried using it for school! Hope it stays warm for him.

The weather is yucky today.Bring back the sun!

Lots to do i am sure but having a bit of comp time 1st.I have a few bits my mum weants me to get for her.

DD's watching tv!

Have a good day all.

Luda Well done for doing ironing! Lol at all the comments you got!
shouldbe Have a good day.

glitterfairy · 23/04/2007 10:13

LOL Ludaloo. I actually farm mine out I hate it so much. When married I had a cleaner as well but now I do it myself and flying has really helped.

Have now done:
2nd drying load
Put away first and sorted
4 mile run (working for next race 10k)

Off to do mission and shower! EHM have a good swimming session I used to love doing that with babies/toddlers and they do remember it too.

OP posts:
staceym11 · 23/04/2007 10:35

oh tort how lovely for you to be able to say see you later to the boys....must feel great!!!!

well my list now looks like this:
done:
change sheets on ds's bed
sort washing from tumble from last night
1 load of washing on
all up washed dressed
s+s bathroom

to do:

washing and drying x 2 (dd wet the bed last night)
sort fold put away all other washing
wash bottles
mission
s+s kitchen
shine sink

mummy2ashton · 23/04/2007 10:45

i ironed the other day too, my mum keeps sarcastically commenting on ds's clothes being all neat and crease free. i do draw the line at ironing underware and pyjamas though!

however my ironing board broke. the poor thing couldnt handle the stresses of actually being used and keeled over and died so i will have to add it to my shopping list. luckily tescos do ironing boards for about £8.

oh and i hate the name "home blessing" too. its way too opera/american/touchy feely for me!

i like to call it "operation CUSH". (CUSH means Clean Up Shit Hole)

tortoise · 23/04/2007 10:47

Thanks Stacey. It really was great .
Mums bits ordered so i suppose i better get on!
Washing basket is empty so weather not a problem for drying today!

Will start in the kitchen i think. Its the tidiest place at the moment!!

My bedroom is still ok. Just some bed sheets to put away if i can find anywhere to put them!

tortoise · 23/04/2007 10:47

lol @ cush M2A!

ludaloo · 23/04/2007 10:54

LOL! @ operation CUSH

Tort It must feel lovely knowing you are going to have them home after school. I'm dead pleased for you

Right off to get ds...its raining even more now! will have to run!!

See you in a bit xx
