gfToo true, I never allow much time for me & sometimes feel guilty when I do. Still haven't had that Pedicure I had booked a few weeks, which was cancelled as Ellie had Chickenpox.
simplyS As it's Jelley I'll forgive her

mummy2ashton Hello, orange juice..good luck.

I MUST really go now. Ellie is flinging things at me from her highchair in frustration

yaddayah · 19/04/2007 10:39

SimplySparkling · 19/04/2007 11:10

shouldbe Outside jobs with ds sounds great. As ds and dd are both in secondary school, I do the same as you but with the dog! She loves being outside doing bits and pieces so long as you throw the ball for her to run after reguarly.

gf You're right, it is important to do things for yourself, too. It needn't be expensive - maybe a bubbble bath. I've taken a bit of time this morning to dry my hair differently to see if I'd like to try it curly again. On the w/e dd straightened it for me. Neither are right so I think I'm going to have to go back to having it cut shorter again. I have a fright at how much a full head of hightlights and a cut cost even though we can afford it and I've got a christening and a big work related event coming up in the next 2 mths. No getting away from it, though, it needs a cut. I'll ring for an appointment.

The FLY threads are my fave part of MN, too. I flick through the active convos but I spend most of the little time I spend on MN on these threads. I feel that I'm amongst friends and the house is looking better for it, too. I'm going to do some more and then post a done list at lunchtime.

shouldbe · 19/04/2007 11:19

Ironing done Kids clothes are put away, just mine and dh's to do. Shouldbe just enough time before the pre-school pick-up to get them put away and have a cup of tea (if i make the tea now and leave it to cool while putting laundry away!)...I'm shattered, really tired and my leg is still aching Will have lunch with ds once he's home then get out in the garden for some fresh air and sun

EHM · 19/04/2007 11:37

shoulbe I've just emailed you.x

glitterfairy · 19/04/2007 11:38

yaddah LOL at the non hippy emoticon!

Have now done some pilates and folded up washing to put away. Phoned my friend whose husband has left her and chatted for an hour. Apparently he has told her that he does still like her a bit but that if they want to continue he has to be able to do as he likes!

Am off to read now sort of for work and some for me. Take care everyone.

Aufish · 19/04/2007 11:46

Ironing pile nearly done. Kitchen is untouched but will be done. Watching this Morning and making my way through the pile and its getting smaller!

shouldbe · 19/04/2007 11:51

OK so I didn't manage to put mine and dh's ironed clothes away - I made a cuppa and sat in the garden for 20mins instead
Off on my bike to collect ds now

Hi all

Mummy2ashton I hope your date goes well tonight

I cleaned my bath before I read today's mission so and because I would rather drink the bath water than clean the bath whilst I am in it I am starting to wonder whether half of Kelly's house is immaculately clean and the other half is dirty and worn out from where she has used the wrong thing to do the cleaning.

DS is clingy today so even though it is my only day to do stuff, I am not able to get much done.

Done so far
Been to library
Taken washing to laundrette for service wash (our machine will be fixed on Monday)
Cleaned bathroom including mopped floor with mop
Vacuumed bedroom
Sorted washing

Still to do
Beds
Tidy sitting room
Tidy kitchen
Vacuum downstairs
Clean high chair
Feed cat

nut

SimplySparkling · 19/04/2007 13:53

Hello again to all.

Ooops, I haven't crossed much off my list. I have done lots of stuff, though, including 3 loads of washing which is now on the line. I've also cleaned the bottom row of kitchen cabinets and the table legs with the microfibre cloth and then sprayed them with the wood restorer spray. They now look really really clean. Next I'm going to mop the floor. Back later with a proper done list.

tortoise · 19/04/2007 14:04

rolloneaster · 19/04/2007 14:27

I am so out of date tort what has happened? pleased things are going well for you

done: car seats have to struggle to put it cover back on nearly dry in sun

having coffee now and then one hour of ironing to do determined to keep on top of it

any suggestions for new name rollonsummer? or summerishere!

tortoise · 19/04/2007 14:28

Thanks.

Looks like all are doing well today.
shouldbeSorry to hear about your cramp. Its horrible isnj't.And it hurts for the rest of the day.

I have just hung 2 loads of washing out. Inc DS's bed sheets. Please remind me i need to put clean ones on before tomorrow night!

Have also cleared the back door of plastic bottles. They had really piled up. Me and DD2 took them to the bottle bank while DD1 was at pre-school. I filled the buggy basket,2 very large bags and a wheely bin liner with bottles!! Managed to hang the big bags on the buggy and carry the black bag whilst pushing DD2 in the buggy! So glad ive done it at last!

1 hour to go.
