I could be tempted! Embarrassingly I signed up for both the January and spring ones and never did anything - although I did have a baby in December so could be excused!

I don't seem to have received an email about this one. Perhaps they know how lax I am and have blacklisted me!

Sunnysidegold · 30/08/2017 06:30

Chloe I did the same (minus have a baby). I'm in for September (until I decide that lying around drinking tea is a better use of my time)

spiderbabymum · 30/08/2017 08:48

Likewise ladies but I did complete it a few years ago And even if u only get halfway through it really makes a difference

Signed up!! I need to get straight after the summer holidays...the house is a tip Blush

CleanYourRoom · 30/08/2017 11:05

Absolutely.

I have attempted the January cure but in a half hearted way. Like a smoker learning how to give up at every successive attempt, I am back for the next try!

JustOneMoreCoffee · 30/08/2017 11:22

I've signed up, I'm drowning in stuff and really let things go over the summer. I think I have hoarder tendencies so everything I clear out ends up in black bags under the stairs. Hmm Roll on the 5th.

chloechloe · 30/08/2017 12:19

I've just signed up - the blurb is very motivating - I'm all up for a clean mean clutter-busting machine of a house!

My toddler is back in nursery next week so I just have the baby to deal with. Let's see how far I get.

I think I may do it a day behind as I recall that, with the emails coming from the US, they arrived later in the day.

DesertIslandPenguin · 04/09/2017 09:09

I've signed up. And as my house is embarrassingly dusty have ordered some dust masks from Amazon to stop me wheezing every time that I clean. I have been really frustrated with the state of our house and even more so that I am the only one doing anything about it.

chloechloe · 04/09/2017 10:53

Any one else up for it?

Here is the link again - not sure if the one above works?:

I've just signed up! Things improved a bit after reading Kondo, but it's slowly getting worse again. We're hopefully moving soon, so an added incentive to clear things!

CiderwithBuda · 04/09/2017 13:54

I've signed up too.

Will have a houseful and xmas and need to create space in office to put a sofa bed in for my niece. Rest of house is fairly cluttered and messy.

As others I have signed up for the January cure but not actually done it! I've started the Marie Kondo method but not completed it. I never know where to start so just don't!

So hopefully doing this in Sept will mean I get a head start for getting organised for Xmas,

DesertIslandPenguin · 04/09/2017 15:52

I've actually been dipping in and out of the January Cure over the last couple of weeks trying to set my house in order so this September one is a nice surprise!

gamerpigeon · 04/09/2017 15:53

I've signed up!

PrimalLass · 04/09/2017 15:55

I've signed up and also previously ignored all the emails. I've started sorting out so hopefully this will focus my mind.

slothqueen · 04/09/2017 16:01

I've signed up. My house needs a good sort out as our stuff seems to be breeding.

onemouseplace · 04/09/2017 16:03

I've signed up as well. We're hopefully moving next year as well, and I need to get on top of everything!

spiderbabymum · 05/09/2017 10:13

It's starts today !!!!

JustOneMoreCoffee · 05/09/2017 10:41

I'm currently surrounded by stuff from a massive clear out of DS's room. He is 16. Loads of books. School paperwork. General crap. Uniform he doesn't need anymore - have a home for most of that I think. Going into town later and will make a start on getting some of the books to Oxfam book shop. Dining room is still cluttered with stuff from his GSCEs so will hopefully tackle that today too.

Looking forward to email and will hopefully be able to do whatever is prescribed. I normally think 'oh no I should do X first' but then not do anything!

DesertIslandPenguin · 05/09/2017 11:53

Got embarrassed by a cringey scene on tv so tidied a worktop in the kitchen till it was over. Does anyone else get embarrassed on behalf of tv characters or am I just weird?! Still, noticeable difference and I've sneaked some mugs into recycling. (I hope they can go!!)

teaandtoast · 05/09/2017 12:22

I've signed up. First time for me.

AmethystRaven · 05/09/2017 12:41

Ooh this looks fun! Youngest is in nursery a little bit now so I can tackle the house at last. I felt a bit inspired this morning and tidied out my box of various hobby stuff, then realised how much old useless stuff there is hanging around in general.

I have read Marie Kondo but as most of the stuff belongs to everyone else I can't see it working out. I'm also a bit scared of it! I found a box of old crap from my teenage bedroom in the garage not long ago and it was so lovely to see! Of course MK would have had me discard it all years ago but the pleasure of the nostalgia made me think I can't commit to Kondoing.

And when I'm cleared out I can decorate...

gamerpigeon · 05/09/2017 14:30

First email in!

I just recycled a load of boxes so I am going to use steps on the stairs instead Grin

chloechloe · 05/09/2017 18:22

That was easy for the first day, took 2 minutes even with a baby on my arm!
