Carpet hoovered, ds fed, fire alarm checked (thanks Ludaloo, every time I see that thread I think I'll do it but it is lways too late at night), cake eaten (quality control).

I'll save you a bit Mhamai but you have to be here this afternoon to eat it. Any that is left over goes to the toddler group party tomorrow.

I'm off out now - have to collect ds from pre-school then pop to town to buy a new water filter/go to the bank/return a new top that I can't really afford before the PIL arrive at 2pm!

Jelley I'm always grateful to these threads when I'm expecting visitors too - in the past I'd have taken ages to get on top of things whereas now I can usually whizz round with the hoover and be ready easily Have a good afternoon with your friends

Jelley, Argghh, I would kill for a slice of your cake at the moment. Sounds wonderful.

Managed to clear a hotspot of my coat hooks in the hall, looks wicked and we now only have the coats we are actually using on posh wooden hangers no less and an empty hanger for DH coat when he gets home from work !!! Bet it is a mess by the end of the week though. Everything tends to get dumped near the front door.

: Iron the washing when dry
: Make up spare bed with freshly ironed bedding.

Took ds's to school.
Went to mothers and toddler group. Spent £25 i haven't got because there was an artist there doing sketches of children if you wanted them done. Of course having both DD's there i had to have them both done! They are lovely though!

Still no ivitations from DS1's party venue. Only 2 days left of school before the hols. I need them here now to hand out! Going to ring them and have words!!

Hope all are ok. Will catch up on the thread in a mo.

oooh pictures sound nice tort. Hope you sort out the invitations quick! Otherwise will you just have to ring friends??

I'm bored now!! I've hoovered upstairs and checked the Alarm... I am very strangley finding the housework very quick and easy today!! (don't tell my DH that!!!) What else can I do now.... I did the mission only last week, and can't find any cobwebs now!! Tops of doors are all dusted too.

Oh well might just have to sit and eat biscuits!!

No answer at ski centre so i have left a message. Will give them an hour to call back!! I am so that they haven't arrived yet! I think i might have to print something basic off the computer just giving details of party because i don't want to have to leave it until friday to give them out!

Okay, have taken the kitchen towel off

Had a scrub with the bicarb - it's not immaculate but it's significantly cleaner.

Have put some more lemon juice and will take it off when dd1 has her nap

I have decided to update and sort out my household folder...It has schools details, and doctors details, and such like...infact I put it together in the vague hope that if anything happened to me, DH would have some kind of clue as to what goes on, and all the details to cope!! (farley morbid, and slightly big headed I know!!! but I know he would struggle, I really do do everything LOL!!)

I have put a copy of Mhamai's poem in it too

I am in !! I decided to clean out my cake making cupboard.. I have food colouring which went out of date in June '05
It can't have been that long ago I bought them...SURELY!!! I have Hundreds & Thousands that were out of date in May '05 too!!(I've used those recently too )

Lol Luda. ALL my food colouring is out of date. Some had s 04 on it i think. Is fine for colouring playdoh!

yes..I decided to keep it for playdough..

I removed a mouldy half a tin of chopped tomatoes from the fridge, and half a tin of sweetcorn

I have re-organised and wiped down my tin cupboard, and the cereal cupboard. I only found 1 out of date tin in there....a tin of Turkey Roll, a friend bought over with her from Australia!

I am going to clean and vac the car out now...

Biscuits are made and DD's now outside looking a bit white! We were putting flour all over each other faces. Great fun.

My PIL have gone to collect dd from school and are going to take her and ds to the park afterwards so I get some time to myself - remind me of this very nice gesture next time I moan about them!
