Hi Luda, stacey and tort
The problem is with the neighbour the other side to the ones we usually have annoyances with (we've never mentioned anything to them - we grin and bear it)..this time we have trouble with our neighbour on the other side. She's 76yo and today our cat got into her house when she left the door open - she then found the cat, startled him, causing him to panic and look frantically for a means to escape - he jumped onto a windowsill and knocked over one of her fav ornaments ...she then came round and laid into dh (I was out, thanks God!) swearing like you wouldn't believe and threatening to posion the cat if she sees him out again We've appologised, bought flowers and helped clean up but she's still very very (which I can understand but...)....no idea what more we can do. She's saying she's now a prisoner in her own home, afraid to leave the door open in case the cat gets in again...We have been thinking about offering to get a cat scarer thingy to put by her door to prevent this happening again - do you think that'd be a good idea? (I think the poor cat was sooo scared he'll never go back in anyway..)
I'm very to hear that she was so aggressive to dh - we're not confrontational people and so are finding it all very and ...

Jelley · 26/03/2007 19:46

on your behalf shouldbe. I wouldn't be buying her a cat scarer. An apology and the flowers is more than enough. It isn't as if you did anything deliberately. I hope she calms down overnight and realises she has over reacted.

Mhamai - glad your ds is ok.

I have just checked my list and it is all done I think that is a first!

staceym11 · 26/03/2007 20:39

oh shouldbe hopefully she will calm down, you've apologised not much more you can do!

hope everyone else is well!
