Morning

Need to get some jobs done today, feeling a little better again so don't have any excuses not to get on (have been left very washed out though)

On a Friday I usually just start upstairs/downstairs and work my way down/up the house tidying as I go. It's usually quite easy cos I've done all the leg work (mopping, dusting etc)through the week. Haven't done any of that this week though so not sure how far I'll take it today, plus ds is at home so that limits how much I get done.

~pack lunches
~tidy and put away upstairs
~make beds
~put away 3 loads of washng
~wash towels
~clean upstairs bathroom
~s&s downstairs cloakroom
~hoover downstairs
~dust downstairs
~s&s kitchen
~clean hob (thanks for this on Jelley)
~mop floors (unlikely)
~hoover and dust upstairs (unlikely)
~shop for presents for the 4 birthday parties we have this weekend
~sort out work for tomorrow (as in my paid job)

There's plenty more but if I do this lot I'll be but

Have a good day everyone

Morning all. Feel ok at the moment apart from headache! Have decided not to get emergancy appointment today. I can wait until Monday.
Think headache maybe down to lack off food yesterday.I ate a lot less than normal which in a way is good! Might help me lose weight!
No list i don't think. Might think of one at some point.

EHM Glad DD is still sleeping well.
shouldbe Don't over do it. Take it easy!

shouldbedoingthehousework · 23/03/2007 09:08

Just dropped dd at school and discovered she's doing a piece in asembly this afternoon that I'd like to go and watch - not enough hours in the day today.....

SparklingCleanFishTankOwner · 23/03/2007 09:08

Thanks for the thread Jelley. I might try and join you in putting clean washing away. My ironing basket is ridiculously full and I simply must get some of it put away.

Hello to all.

Have a good day shouldbe. I'm getting there ever so slowly but I know I am. I'm sure you are, too.

yadd I hope you have a lovely morning and lunch out.

ChaCha (nice short name, that!) You're doing well.

Enjoy your pedicure EHM and don't you dare feel guilty about it! Ellie will enjoy the creche I'm sure and time for yourself is important.

So far:-
~ loaded d/w
~ put a load of washing in w/m
~ put the recycling in the recycling bin outside

To do:-
~ hoover. I did a lot yesterday but there are a couple of rooms left
~ iron
~ walk the dog
~ shower and dress
~ I daren't say what else!

SparklingCleanFishTankOwner · 23/03/2007 09:11

tort I'm glad to hear that you are feeling a bit better but you do need to eat regular meals otherwise you will fall ill, you know. It is difficult if you're not eating because you don't feel well but it can easily become a vicious circle, so do eat if you can.

tortoise · 23/03/2007 09:13

SCFTO Ok I will try. Didn't feel like eating yesterday. Will try and eat better today.

SparklingCleanFishTankOwner · 23/03/2007 09:17

tort That sounds good. Think of what you fancy to try to get your appetite back.

NineUnlikelyTales · 23/03/2007 09:18

Morning all EHM I am very of your DD sleeping so well. How old is she? My DS is 6m and wakes about 5 or 6 times between 8pm and 8am - drives me crazy.
Shouldbe four parties this weekend? Wow! and also Tort Take care of yourselves, don't overdo it

As I said yesterday, I am off for more socialising today - to a friend's house for lunch and huge amounts of cake We are going for a walk too though, as if that makes up for it!

Done
Opened curtains

To do
Phone hotel for June wedding we are going to (yesterday's was fully booked, and no JustIvor I won't be ringing round and comparing prices a la Dominic)
Buy rice cakes and daffodils

Have a lovely day everyone

shouldbe · 23/03/2007 09:18

Has it worked? Just testing my shorter name version.....
(actually, just putting off getting on with any jobs )

tortoise · 23/03/2007 09:19

Lol shouldbe!

NineUnlikelyTales · 23/03/2007 09:19

Oh, and today's mission - is it really such a good idea to spray those sorts of chemicals all over your bed? Just wondering...

..and I make my bed really well every day anyway as I am a bad sleeper and every little thing keeps me awake.

shouldbe · 23/03/2007 09:24

I know NUT both children have seperate parties to go to on Saturday and on Sunday and the one ds is going to tomorrow is a double party so I actually have 5 presents to buy ...it's a similar weekend next weekend with 3 parties to go to...Nice the the lo's are popular Just wish I'd felt better this week and could have been more organised instead of leaving it till today when I have lots of other things to do

ludaloo · 23/03/2007 09:35

Morning all

sparkling I am pleased to say..for once..I'm with the plan

Well there are loads of posts already!!!

Will post a list when I think of one

tortoise · 23/03/2007 09:35

I never make my bed. I like to get in the same way it was when i got out! All comfy and how i like it! Lol!

I have eaten crackerbreads and philadelphia now o will try and get on with the kitcen to start with! DW is empty now. Need to refill it!

shouldbe · 23/03/2007 09:43

I always make my bed too It's a quick and easy way to tidy up the bedroom

SparklingCFTO · 23/03/2007 09:55

I'm going to join shouldbe. I've shortened my name, too!

at luda.

I also always make the beds. My way:- when you get up, throw the covers back so that the top half of the bed can air thoroughly. Before bedtime (and not before lunchtime to give them a chance to fully air) pull the duvet off, smooth fitted sheet, plump the pillow, smooth out and tuck in flat sheet, pull duvet into place and smooth. Lovely! If dh makes the kids beds for any reason they are guaranteed to be grumpy and complain in the morning that they didn't sleep well because their bed wasn't right.

Right. I'm now showered and dressed. The sheets from all the beds have just completed their cycle in the w/m so I'd better put them on the line. See you later!

shouldbe · 23/03/2007 09:57

copy cat sparkling

SparklingCFTO · 23/03/2007 10:07

Right. The washing is on the line.

Ruby My ds is a teenager and dd will be next year so I can say to them "Oi. I've put that away once!" and get them to put it away again. When they are little it is much harder.
