shouldbe, it feels like my house falls apart if i leae it alone for 5 minutes. give yourself some time to calm, it can look worse than it is if your tired!! and dont worry the world wont stop because your house is a mess, you've got all the time in the world to sort it out! pace yourself and it wont feel so bad!

tortoise · 19/03/2007 17:09

Shouldbe- What stacey said!!

I have hardly moved from here all afternoon. Don't know whats wrong with me today!
DD's tea is cooking though.

Jelley · 19/03/2007 17:20

Wise words from stacey

I have found with the FLYing, that when I have bad days, it still takes less time than it used to to get back on top of everything.

Thanks GO
I feel all warm and loved now

the flythread has been CODised! happy nomday all.

urgh in my own until wednesday night as dp is awake, not enjoying it much although i have had to do noticeably less cleaning and tidying.

done:

washing up
kitchen surfaces cleaned
1 load washing on
1 load washing hung up
bottles washed sterilised and filled with water
bed made
plants bought fir garden
storage facility cancelled
van booked
insurance company shouted at

all in all a successful day

staceym11 · 19/03/2007 17:33

cor i said something right for once!

well iv been sat on MN since i got back from young mums (except to plonk dd on potty occasionally) should go and do something really!

ludaloo · 19/03/2007 17:34

shouldbe I agree with stacey too...It'll be ok...a bit of a messy home for a day or so won't do much harm...concentrate on feeling better...

I have come to the conclusion my DD and her stand in teacher just clash...after my chat with her this morning..I find a comment in her contact book which reads "DD was upset this pm, did not complete a task, which was an easy task to do, and was made to finish it as the other children did complete it. She then spent the rest of the afternoon day-dreaming, and ignoring my instructions"

I phoned my dad who has been a teacher all his working life...and he thinks it is just that she wants her origional teacher back. She returns in the Autumn... Until then I have to try and get DD to behave and just eecept she has to have the replacement teacher until her origional teacher gets back!!!

KIDS!

staceym11 · 19/03/2007 17:34

bb think you've been CODised too

'in my own until wednesday night as dp is awake'

whats that supposed to read !

bewilderbeast · 19/03/2007 17:39

that should have read

I'm on my own until wednesday night a dp is away

and

plants bought for garden

CODitis is obviously quite contagious

tortoise · 19/03/2007 17:54

Oh well, My soup is a bit crap and tastless for some reason.

ludaloo · 19/03/2007 17:59

try adding cheese tort...thats what I do...

grouchyoscar · 19/03/2007 17:59

DH Home now so I've stopped

Actually I have done very little this aft. DS occupied himself and I was pretty bored TBH. I was able to catch up with my Grandma and my Dad's DP so at least it wasn't wasted.

Also DONE
Sort drying washing into 'Needs more time' and 'needs finishing off'
Put new wet washing to dry
Take 'needs finishing down to TD and run
Clean dS kiss marks from front room window
Clean glass in tv cabinet
Get DS's wooden cars and road map mat out.

Hope all are well and happy, See you tomorrow

staceym11 · 19/03/2007 18:00

bb, i did get it right then, tried translating and thought i should probably ask what it was meant to be!

tort stop beating yourself up about things!! we cant be perfect it doesnt happen! cheer up!

tortoise · 19/03/2007 18:09

No cheese im afraid! I still ate it.
Made potato wedges for DD's. DD1 loved them despite saying yuk when i put the plate in frount of her! They were pretty yummy.

Sorry Stacey. i will try! Having an off day. Was ok this morning. I know what caused it but its something soooo stupid!

laloop · 19/03/2007 19:34

Hi to everyone shouldbe, glassslipper, stacey, luda, Ivor, Pecka, tort, mhamai, Grouchy, jelley, Nine, yadda and Bewilderbeast
Not much done today at all - think I need a crisis cleaning day tomorrow

All the best, have a nice evening and catch up with you all tomorrow

Jelley · 19/03/2007 19:37

Evening

I won't be around first thing, as fil will be sleeping in here. I don't know how long he will be staying, so my mn time may be seriously restricted (and I will moan whenI am here)

DP has bought a new car, which he doesn't like, so hopefully he will be motivated to get his road legal again, and give me the other one

OP posts:
laloop · 19/03/2007 19:40

Sounds like a good car plan, jelley

tortoise · 19/03/2007 19:43

Good car plan Jelley.

DD's in bed and they even helped pick up their toys before dinner!

NineUnlikelyTales · 19/03/2007 20:05

My to do list hasn't got much smaller

I did get veg and we ate a good meal, but I have only just made the beds and nothing else got done today. And now I have to clean the kitchen after dinner. There must be something in the air because I just can't motivate myself to do anything.

None of this is helped by DH still maoning about his flaming man-flu. He won't be happy until he really has got something. He's like the boy who cried wolf though, I just can't find any sympathy.

On the positive side..tomorrow is another day

tortoise · 19/03/2007 20:07

Its a relief to know im not the only one today!

Must make flapjacks for DD's lunch box tomorrow. they won't take long though.

NineUnlikelyTales · 19/03/2007 20:07

Mmmmm flapjacks!

tortoise · 19/03/2007 20:36

Flapjacks are in the oven cooking. Yummy!

ipanemagirl · 19/03/2007 21:45
