GF Yes i need to get him trained! Don't want him turning out like his useless Dad. Such a relief that they woun't be growing up with him as main carer teaching all the wrong ways! They will be taught better by me!

GF You have snow? Cool! Doubt we will get any. Had some hail stones earlier but sunny again now.

Mhamai I'm sorry you are feeling bad. That is a disappointing thing to happen. I hope you get it sorted.

My DH is doing quite well. I got to lie in until 12pm but then it was my turn to lie in and the reason I slept so long is because I have had so little sleep this week. But DH has lost brownie points by moaning about how tired he is and all the stuff he has had to do this morning (change nappies, feed DS etc) - what does he think I do all day every day?!

We might go out for lunch but I'm not sure yet. We're still half way through clearing out the cupboard (in my defence, it is a big cupbaord!). As a result the rest of the house looks like a bomb has hit it

Mhamai big hug. This time of year can get to you I think because it is unsettled and we have been in winter so long.

tort snow gone now but the kids enjoyed playing out in it. It is hail storms now.

Right off for a lazy afternoon and no exercise today.

Thanks guys, was going to take ds to a puppet show but it's started pelting snow so am confined to the house, ah bah humbug!

I just thought even though dd is not here, it wouldn't have her to txt or ring me to wish me a happy mothers day. I'm probably being petty but God, I'm so annoyed, I had a huge clearout of the house two weeks ago and she more or less hasn't lifted a finger, on the other hand her df whom she had never met up til last year took his own life in January so I feel even more guilty for being annoyed with her. Sorry I don't mean to be bringing everyone else down. Happy Mothers Day to you all. Ds has just got up beside me and cuddled me.

I'm feeling a little happier now. DS's just turned up with card, chocs and a little teddy for me.

Stacey and Luda Sounds like you have similar problems to me. My usual lie in involves begging/shouting, then getting up at 5, feeding washing, dressing and entertaining. Waiting for dp to get up and shower, then going back to bed for my "lie in"

Having said that, he got up when the kids woke (ds chose today to sleep til7 for the first time in his life!) and I got a real lie in. He's even going to make the roast later

Yay tortoise mhamai* sounds like your dd is taking you for granted. It must hurt, but she can only do it if she is totally secure in your love for her. She will grow up a bit more, have her own babies, and appreciate you all the more.

You know what, the sun has come out again and although it means a bit of an added expense because I'll have to go by taxi, I've decided to go ahead and bring ds to puppet show!

He has his moments jelley he shattered a glass yesterday in a temper which reminds me of my X but I am firmly resisting any comparisons and will get him to learn to control his temper. He has finely honed people skills (maybe because of being hurt by his dad) and knows he is wrong and is desperate to learn more control which is always a good thing.

I know Jelley and thanks for your lovely post but I also have a ds to think of and sitting here for the day feeling sorry for myself isnt the answer but I'll tell you one thing I'm stopping off on the way home to buy the biggest fu*k off box of chocolates!

Go back to bed to get some more rest and watch grand prix.

Hello again, hope everyone has managed to have a good day

Dh has had to go out for a couple of hours now so I've been on a mission to get the kids to bed early - they're both tucked up now so I have some peace and quiet (and time to clear up the kitchen and poss do some ironing!)
Coming back upstairs to put the lo's to bed I have discovered that dh hasn't done any of the tidying up jobs that usually happen during a day - beds aren't made, my breakfast tray is still where I left it, kids PJs are where they took them off...etc, etc...so despite all the lovely things they've done for me today, tomorrow I have extra jobs to do making up for the ones that were missed today! Never mind though, they've all made a fuss of me today and done their best to make me

I managed a walk to the cemetary to visit my mums grave which was good - quite a few tears shed this year It was great to be able to go for a walk with the family though

Evening everyone, just home from the show and it was wonderful! The look on ds's face was priceless and the compare [sp?] was a man that used to be part of a show I watched on television as a child, so it was a big deal meeting him! A Big Mother's day hug to everyone.

Not only did I treat myself and ds to Burger King, I bought a big box of roses, some brown bread and salmon, oh and a bottle of chardonnay makes........one very happy mhamai!!!

Ps in case anyone rushes off to watch it at 9.30, that's 9.30 on RTE which is an Irish tv station, oh and just to rub it in for any Er fans, we are a week ahead!
