shouldbedoingthehousework · 14/03/2007 10:05

Not really getting on here...really ought to be tidying up but just pottering round doing not-a-lot instead...

NineUnlikelyTales · 14/03/2007 10:07

Thanks Madame (hope you don't mind my shortening your name in that presumptuous way). He's asleep at the moment - we'll see what he's like when he wakes up.

MadameSleepsLessAndLess · 14/03/2007 10:07

MadameSleepsLessAndLess · 14/03/2007 10:09

Not all 9 you can call me EHM is you wish, a previous name.

staceym11 · 14/03/2007 10:11

EHM xenia just makes my blood boil most the time! had to rant at some point!

bewilderbeast · 14/03/2007 10:21

morning all, hope all are well

done:

washing on
washing up (half) done - please can a dishwasher fall out of the sky and land on my doorstep
rubbish put out

to do

make bread
print photos for change of address cards and post change of address cards
go to B & Q

other than that not done much today and don't intend to! Ran round like a headless chicken yesterday and made myself feel sick so I'm on strike.

Jelley · 14/03/2007 11:51

Am I the only one tempted to shorten NineUnlikelyTales to NUT then?

I made brownies, and washing will be ready to hang out before I go out this afternoon. Not done much else.

Flamesparrow · 14/03/2007 11:55

I think my problem is that I forget that it starts with babysteps - I wanna jump in full swing and I get overwhelmed.

My house is chaos once again (both literally and the acronym version), I am trying to run a business from home, I am barely having time to read my babies bedtime stories let alone anything else.

I need to FLY or I will go under.

Jelley · 14/03/2007 11:59

Just shine your sink and look in the toys for the missing shoe.

Anyone who is likely to look down at chaos in the home won't be here anyway.

Think about all the stuff you are doing at the moment and give yourself a big pat on the back, instead of beating yourself up about the stuff you can't do right now

Flame welcome!!

FLYing is so brilliant, i don't run a buisness from home but it has helped to organise brilliantly! do the baby steps, it works, you dont even realise you're progressing till you look back!! Jumping in makes it feel like too much hard work!

as for me iv sat on the comp not doing my FLYing!! have put a load of books and cds on Amazon, so hopefully the time sat will be time decluttering!!!

staceym11 · 14/03/2007 12:00

yes jelley i think its only you who wants to shorten her to a NUT!!!

damewashalot · 14/03/2007 12:13

Hi flame, I snuck back in this week too, did really well monday really well before school run yesterday and not so much after and nothing today, blaming poorly boy but the fact that I got home from work to find my sink all gunked up with bits of stew didn't help need to get dh to relearn to respect the shiney sink

Oh I just remembered have hung washing out, that's something

Will return after lunch to tell you all about my clean sink!

Mhamai · 14/03/2007 12:17

Mhamai · 14/03/2007 13:05

Can someone please give me a polite shove off MN? I'm not getting anything done.

NineUnlikelyTales · 14/03/2007 13:07

Jelley I was wondering how long it would be until someone spotted that! I didn't choose my name very wisely did I? I just picked the first book title I saw from my pc. I am more than happy to be NUT, in fact my of my close friends would agree with it heartly...

Mhamai, did you speak to your DC about doing chores?

Flame I look down on chaos in the home. In fact, I'm looking down on it right now (futon mattress in spare room still on floor from last visitor 2 weekends ago, still with sheet on, plus library book and assorted electrical equipment dumped there by my DH).

To do

Put last night's ironing away
Tidy kitchen and sitting room
Make beds DONE
Buy veg etc for tonight's dinner DONE
Post Mothers Day cards DONE
Wash bedding/change bedding DONE

NineUnlikelyTales · 14/03/2007 13:08

Sorry Mhamai, cross posted..

Get off MN and start your jobs.
