Tortoise at least you've got somewhere to put them
my stairs are too grubby to put clean clothes on (the cat sleeps on them during the day)

Hope you get a good report

I WILL clean my stairs now

laloop · 19/02/2007 13:31

Hi all. Have kept busy this morning, kitchen and living room looking good. Sink nice and shiny
Have left out the clean bedlinen to do the mission. Going to keep the lo's busy this afternoon by doing some baking.

Good luck with the report, tortoise.

tortoise · 19/02/2007 13:43

I have no piled the clothes on my bed! The stairs now have no clothes on!! (Just a naughty DD1 for throwing remote in a strop!)

Well done laloop.

yaddayah · 19/02/2007 13:43

stairs hoovered

to clarify

the cat sleeps on the stairs (not the clean clothes and if she does .. sleep on the clean clothes she doesn't get her favorite cat crunchies)

i really need to get a grip

laloop · 19/02/2007 16:44

Hi everyone
We made dropscones luda, they were yummy.
House has reverted to looking like a tip again since this morning, but it is raining so can't chuck lo's out into garden.

What's everyone having for dinner, need some inspiration today

staceym11 · 19/02/2007 17:07

yes tort put your clothes away!!!! or you'll be dumping them on the floor when its time to crawl into bed! (not that i do that or anything!)

tortoise · 19/02/2007 17:25

Put them away? (.)(.) Haven't got them out!

Just made playdoh for DD's. Its very red!
Dinner is cooking. Fish fingers and chips for DD's and i have cheese and leek sausages and chips!

laloop · 19/02/2007 17:32

tortoise · 19/02/2007 17:55

Lol Stacey! I understood you

I was suppose to pull all the clothes etc out of the understairs cupboard today and put into ages to ebay them! But i didn't!
Have sold some bits on MN today though.

How old are you DC? (You have probably said before but i have a bad memory!)

tortoise · 19/02/2007 17:55

your* DC!

ludaloo · 19/02/2007 18:21

ROLF you lot really cheer me up!

laloop I don't believe I've ever eaten drop scones....are they scone scones or something fancy?

It sounds like everyone has washing everywhere! My radiators are strewn with clothes, and the duvets and sheets are all washed and ready to swop over. I still have dd1's duvet and sheet to do, but I'll do that tommorrow now...the other covers can dry overnight.

Right well I'd better go, dd2 has a smelly

Luda - they're like little scotch pancakes, very quick to make and yummy. Couldn't find my old recipe for quantities so did a thread earlier and got recipe from fellow MN'er (thanks Swizzler, )
Here it is if anyone wants to try them
1/4 pt buttermilk
3 eggs
6 oz SR flour
pinch salt
tsp sugar

Whisk together the buttermilk and eggs, then sift in the dry ingredients to form a thick batter. Grease a pan (I use a skillet), drop on spoonfuls of batter and turn over after a couple of mins or until brown on both sides.
(DC's scoffed them warm from the pan sprinkled with sugar and lemon juice, delish! - getting us ready for Pancake Day tomorrow )

tortoise · 19/02/2007 18:45

Ooooh mine love scotch pancakes(from a packet!)
Where do i find butter milk? Is it essential thats what it is?

tortoise · 19/02/2007 18:49

Found this . I have all the ingredients for these ones!
