A carrier bad of DVDs
Small bag of books
A box of kids toys
Rag bag stuff
Carrier bag of carrier bags
All sat in the boot of my car ready to be dropped off at the charity shop tomorrow.

So happy (really sad I know).

I am almost at the decluttering tipping point. Anyone else?

1 bag of kids books
2 cardboard boxes of nothing!

Will try harder tomorrow, there's a yoga mat in my hallway that I'm eyeing up. You are so for it!!!

Brainwashed · 23/11/2016 12:20

I am going to kondo my clothes this afternoon...wish me luck!

Dreamingoutloud7 · 29/11/2016 07:47

Got back on it last night, and got rid of 3 bin bags of stuff from kitchen cupboards, why we kept some of that stuff for so long is beyond me!!

thegoodnameshadgone · 29/11/2016 17:58

All the packaging from my presents for people for Christmas and I wrapped them all. I feel very prepared as I'm never normally this on top Grin

mypropertea · 30/11/2016 14:59

A bag of kids cloths... there is another 2 bags for tomorrow

Wallywobbles · 30/11/2016 18:48

I finally found someone to take all my size 18 clothes now I'm down a few sizes. At least 13 pairs of trousers. Now looking for someone to donate my 16s to.

Mybeautifullife1 · 30/11/2016 18:49

Two large bags of summer clothes from DDs wardrobe.

Today I got rid of

  • all the old tins of paint (16) that was sat in my garage.

Took it all to the local recycling place. I will be steering clear of plastic paint going forward. I'm using a natural claypaint (Earthborn brand) which has no smell and wipes off clothes in a jiffy. Much nicer, and breathable moisture-wise.

Please can I join in? I need to clear my house to sell that's currently full of hoarding stuff from depression and major surgery. I could really do with the motivation if you don't mind one more?

crankyagnes · 05/12/2016 07:43

Two shelves and two small bags of 'stuff' off to charity.

Mybeautifullife1 · 05/12/2016 10:12

Hi anahata. Please do join in.

Some days I get more done than others. some days I get nowt done. However it is improving. Good luck!

I've got rid of a bag of receipts and bank statements. Bonfire! Also a chest of drawers with mould on, so I can't pass it on.
Small bag of toys to school for sale at Christmas fair.

So far so good. Huge bag of books to the lifeboat shop. Big bag of kids clothes. Like everyone barely scratched the surface and can't bear to get out the Xmas stuff until my house is clear.
Dd1 has decluttered and tidied the dolls house I was quite impressed

SimonNeilshair · 05/12/2016 20:28

Can I join please, today I got rid if a bin bag full of rubbish from up stairs Blush as well as a box of stuff to the charity shop. Next on my list is the children's books. we have far too many that don't get read, they're better off going to someone who will enjoy them.

whirlygirly · 05/12/2016 20:34

Right, reading this and I'm off to look at all the Christmas decorations which aren't up. If they aren't being used I don't need them. Will report back shortly.

bilknapplapp · 05/12/2016 20:48

Inspired by this thread: today I got rid of a whole bag of out of date medicine ConfusedBlush, several holey garments, old towels and a very old and rather decaying cool bag. Feels good to make a start!

whirlygirly · 05/12/2016 21:18

Whole carrier bag of decorations ready to go. Just had very happy realisation that all sets of drawers in the spare room are now empty and there are just two spare rugs under the bed.
It's taken a year to get to this point and there are still clutter hotspots around the place.
We've probably taken over 100 bags to the charity shop this year now. Smile

knittingwithnettles · 08/12/2016 15:38

today I got rid of:

seven sacks of rubbish from loft
6 bags of clothes
2 bags of children's/teen books
8 cookbooks
some old violin music
baking tin bottom
3 metal lamp bases
hanging rail in bits
fireguard
textiles
bit of magimix I never used
some old loaf tin liners
some dried up modelling clay
pregnancy clothes

really hard to get rid of it, in some cases it had passed through my hands about twice up and down and round the house and into loft and shed and down again. Sometimes even if something is good stuff you just have to let it go because of the "cost" of keeping it is greater than cost of wasting it.

knittingwithnettles · 08/12/2016 15:41

and an old suitcase
and some old curtains from the 70's we had been storing
a camping pillow from 80's
a mouldy model of the moon surface
a soft toy
Noddy

I KEPT a beautiful baby cardigan
a ballgown
my wedding dress
2 rolls of matching wallpaper (to patch hall)
bit of material which matches curtains in sitting room
3 of the cookbooks I hadn't cooked anything from for ages
some children's memorabilia

pithivier · 08/12/2016 17:56
