Morning All

Yes it's 4.16am Ellie has been wide awake since 2ish. Initially playing in her cot, then she got fed up. Brought her in with us, she wasn't having any of it!
Now watching 'baby TV' on sky channel 626 apparently 'Musical Sequences & gentle visual designs to create a soothing atmosphere for infants & toddlers under 3' ain't working.

Tesco delivery order placed whilst Ellie played on her play mat. She's getting tired so we are goin back to bed

Mission is up now - fridge door/seals.

I'm going straight to toddler group from school run, then in to school to help in dd2s class, so can't do that list I was planning on Will have to try and do a bit after school.

Washing is done, will hang it up before we go this morning.

HI jelley and Elliehsmum . Hope you got more sleep it is a nightmare when they do that but my youngest is going for her first sleepover tonight and is so excited she didnt get much sleep and woke me up twice!

Right off to do lunches. Still havent finished my list from yesterday but am hopeful I can do some tonight when I get back from work.

Concentrating on the kitchen this morning

  • Wash out fridge
  • Unload and load dishwasher
  • Wash down kitchen table and worktops
  • wash down front of cooker and hob
  • then vacuum downstairs and dust, and make beds as well
I have to go out just before 11 o'clock so will have to be speedy this morning

I am freezing this morning!
Coal has run out....

Kids are back to school today, the snow is still around but the roads are all clear.

Today's list:

~Do DD2's bum!! pheewwwww
~Clean Fire out
~Tidy round
~Pick ds up
~Fetch coal
~Do food shop
~Unpack
~Re light my fire
~Pick dd1 up from school

And if I have chance to do anything inbetween, that'll be good! Piles of washing need putting away...piles of washing to do.
D/W needs doing

Good morning

Just back from the school run - dd is back at school today so the sledging will have to wait till after 3pm.
GMTV were here in our little town this morning reporting on the severe weather! We couldn't tune the radio this morning so had the TV on which is v unusual, the lo's were v excited to see the main street on the telly!

Ds doesn't want to go out in the snow again at the moment so I hope to catch up on some jobs- have a different keyboard this morning cos I spilt a drink on our usual one - this one is kids lower-case keyboard and has no wiggly line to use on my list! Will have to go back to the * instead

*washing x2
*tumble drying
*dw, empty and reload
*clear kitchen table
*make beds
*hoover upstairs
*hoover downstairs
*dust downstairs

that'll do for starters.

Morning all. Very wet here today.
DD's at their Dads until 11. On my way home i slipped on the kerb and fell over. Have a cut on my knee now. Not even icy/snowy!

Have unloaded and reloaded DW.
Swept floor
Need to wash the floor now DD's are out the way. Not sure i can do it on hands and knees now though.

EHM Hope you got more sleep.

hi to everyone else.

i just checked my freezer and got rid of a few out of date bits. I cleaned the fridge the other day, including the seals. And also did the dishwasher at the same time when i saw how gross it was so done the mission already [swot emoticon]

felt rotten yesterday with throat infection. even lost my voice. feel better today but plan to take it easy. DD2 gave me midnight to 6am sleep and DD1 is off playing with neighbours grandson so all quiet here

Hello all.

The list for today:-
~ pack (going away tomorrow)
~ do lots of ironing
~ thank you notes
~ sort out getting the car to the garage
~ shower

Done:-
~ loaded d/w
~ put a load of washing on
~ cleared the driveway of ice and our bit of the estate road. I wish neighbours would do a bit as well!

Hi all. My kitchen is looking pretty clea- it should do really, as I've been working on it all week!

ludaloo can you not make a fire with wood? I'm cold too, as we are getting a new tv aerial fitted today, so I can't make a fire. (The aerial needs to be fitted to the chimney).

This is my list for today, some of which I've already done:
-load washing machine done
-unload dishwasher
-check email done
-tidy my desk
-hoover work room
-make cushions (still..)
-bring in more wood
-call PIL and arrange music lesson

That'll do for starters...

tort yey...snow...I bet you do get more...great name too!!!!

VWVIC can't use wood...it is a ParkRay....it is kind of like a big boiler...not an open fire. You stock it up and shut the door...it then heats the radiators and the water. Wood doesn't burn in there as it either goes out because of the lack of air getting to it...or it burns in minutes!!!

The school has closed and the nursery so I've just been to get them both. Dh is on his way home again and is getting coal and doing a food shop {{THUNK}} AND I HAVEN'T EVEN HAD A BABY!!!! (one and only time he has ever food shopped was when I had just given birth!!!)

The snow is falling thick and heavy again!! It was supposed to rain...but now they reckon we could have another 6 inches!!!!

Its MAD!!!!

We still have heavy snow falling here too luda - I'd like to go and get dd really and then we can all snuggle up indoors and not go out again! I guess the school is going to stick out the day though

I need some bits from the shop but it's about 2 miles walk there and back and ds really doesn't want to go out (or me) A text may need to be send to dh in the hope that he'll collect some bits and pieces...

Sorry your snow has stopped tort Hope you get some more

I discovered when I came to load the td that it was FULL of laundry already - most of which could have avoided being ironed if I'd taken it out quickly - think it must have been in there for two days though

Need to get on but seem to be stalling! If you see me here again, send me away!

Hi luda. Don't worry about asking dh to fetch the shopping. You are doing your bit for the environment as 1) it's hardly out of his way if he is coming home from work, and 2) it saves you making the journey. Double points for you!

Maybe I'm being a bit selfish in clearing some ice and snow. If they skid it is quite possible they'll go into my car which is broken down and parked at the edge of the driveway next to the estate road.

We'll be travelling for about 2 1/2 hours so need to leave plenty of time. Then flying off on Sunday for a week.

I popped into your coal supplier's shop the other day for the first time ever. Dh wanted to go to the computer shop almost opposite and I didn't want to be cheeky and park there for 5 mins without giving them some trade so I went and bought fruit gums!

Right. I've had my MN treat for about 10 mins so must go and do something!
