Anyone still pegging the washing out is it worth it?

Trying to keep the electric bill down today is supposed to be dry and sunny not much wind but obviously not hot is it worth pegging the washing on the line ?

I did it yesterday and it did dry.

I did yesterday at 10 and it was dry by the time I came home by about 5.

Im still putting it out if theres no rain forcast, I cant see it lasting much longer though.

I was surprised when my dried but it's a bit of wind that makes all the difference.

I always do it unless it's raining or really damp.
The sunlight will dry it and if it's windy, it's even faster.

Yes we still are- it has been taking almost a whole day but it has dried.

Yes, I always hang out the washing.

I don't own a drier.

I find my washing dries quicker on a traditional line rather than the whirly. Got two loads dry yesterday.

I always put washing out - sometimes it needs to be hung inside for a short while esp if it's cold . But always gets most of the water out esp if windy

I do it. I find that it cuts down the amount of time it needs in the dryer / on the airer if the wind has had a good go at it!

I've had washing out this week. Still have to hang it inside afterwards to finish drying but it seems to shorten the indoor drying time

I dried 2 loads on the line yesterday and have one load out already with another in the wash.

Not dry completely, 10 mins in dryer. Sorted.

Yes but it takes all day to dry....

Yup all out yesterday so no washing today. I like the fresh smell and it not cluttering up on the clothes horse. Hate using the dryer.

Mine goes out 12 months a year unless it's raining. Even if it's not properly dry it blows the creases out and only needs a while on the airer to get bone dry.

Yes, I don't have a tumble dryer and actually a lot of our clothes couldn't be tumble dried anyway.

I have dried two machine loads on the line already today and will keep trying for a few weeks yet, as others have said it takes a lot longer but does eventually dry.

All year for me as well. If the pavement is dry then the washing will dry to some extent at least!!

Still hanging it out here, heavy think stuff doesn't always dry anymore though.

Yes any day that's not raining. Even if doesn't get completely dry I find it's quicker than indoor drying. Plus even winter sun is good on stains

Yes, any dry day - or even half-day. It's free & easy to do, and I like the fresh smell. I'll do it all through the year if possible!

Definitely, even if it's a bit damp when it comes in you save on tumble dryer.
I've got 2 loads dry today, including towels, but they will need 20 mins in dryer, bedding about 10 mins, so well worth it.
I put my whites out when it's been snowing it bleaches them
Only time washing isn't out is if it's raining.

All year round. Or I have damp washing in the house which is bad for us and the house.

I am the opposite.

We tumble dry everything (apart from expensive bras!) all year round.

We had our massive washing line and posts removed when we moved in.

Today, we have done 5 loads including towels and bedding and it's all dried and put away.
