No one else around????

I feel better this morning, and am going to stick to my plan of having a cleaning day today, so I'll do a bigish list.

Fridge
Bathroom
Hamster
Phone calls/emails x 4
Wash up
Hang out washing
wash one more load
Front windowsill
Hoover
Shine sink
Clear rubbish from back garden

Will add if I get all that done.

Flamesparrow · 06/02/2007 09:25

Ello.

Still probably not missioning, but in a FLY kinda place.

So...

1hr on shop
Pack lunches
Clean Ebay Highchair
1 load of dishes
Put away 1 wash pile
1 washload in

That is a starter list - I know I go into shock if I do too much per list

grouchyoscar · 06/02/2007 09:28

Hi Jelley

Just home from dropping ds at pre-school. Dd has gone to school but was very tearful, tired and still quite snotty so I'm not sure if I've done the right thing - should I have have kept her off? She'll probably perk up for being at school but I'm worried that I've sent her when she should have had a day in bed.... Why is it that parenting makes you feel such guilt?!

So - I have 3 hours before I have to collect ds. Need to get on but feel low again today - dh and I rowed before he even left for work this morning

Didn't do the mission (or anything else) yesterday. Thought I'd switched the wm on before ds and I went out in the morning but I hadn't pushed the button hard enough so the cycle didn't run Anyway - it's running now

List for today ~
~have breakfast having now
~clear table, load and run dw
~empty and reload wm
~load td
~empty td and put clothes away
~make beds
~quick put-away upstairs
~quick put-away downstairs
~empty understairs cupboard and clear out junk
~collect ds
~go to town to run errands for dh
~collect dd
~make pizza dough
~get kids to bed early
~make effort to make nice supper for dh and not chat to Tort all evening on MSN when I should be making supper

shouldbedoingthehousework · 06/02/2007 09:34

sorry - takes me sooo long to type! Hello flame and grouchy too

Flamesparrow · 06/02/2007 09:38

I don't know your background (sorryf or not being involved much lately ) - Intrigued by the shoes!! Your boyfriend whinging about lack of girliness?

laloop · 06/02/2007 09:41

Morning Jelley
I'm here, feeling tired this morning as ds2 awake during night a few times
Have compiled a long list too to keep my mind off my sleep-deprived state

  • make lo's beds and give their bedrooms a quick tidy-up done
  • unload and load dishwasher done although nearly enough for yet another load to go in
  • kitchen, wipe down surfaces and kitchen table done
  • tidy up main bedroom, change bedclothes and sort laundry
  • hallway, clear belongings that have built up again back up to lo's rooms
  • clean bathrooms
  • mop kitchen floor
  • vacuum downstairs
  • do mission, sort kitchen larder
  • maybe a walk or swim if I can force myself
  • make tonight's dinner in advance (can't decide what yet, maybe a casserole)

Don't think I'll make it through the full list, but good to have a challenge

laloop · 06/02/2007 09:45

Hi flame, grouchy and shouldbe

Jelley · 06/02/2007 09:48

I'm interested in the "ladies shoes" too. Why are you trying to wear them, particularly whenit is icy outside?

Must go and do something. DS has emptied my purse all over the floor.

OP posts:
shouldbedoingthehousework · 06/02/2007 09:52

Aren't the shoes cos grouchy is going shopping for bridesmaids clothes today with her best friend? I'm sure I read something along those lines yesterday... I'm hopeless at 'ladies' shoes too - give me comfy flats any day!

lol grouchy you sound like me! I wear a skirt and long boots every now and then...but I'm always going AOT in them!! People ask me if I have a LIMP!!! Its not a limp...I'm just walking like a twat, trying not to slip!!! The school car park is in a slope too which is a nightmare!!!!!

Jelley · 06/02/2007 10:59

Thanks for listening everyone...dp is quite good at apologising, but the problem is I know whatever he says, nothing changes and we end up having the same two arguments over and over again.

shouldbe hope things pick up for you today. I always go on the theory that the school will call you if dd is not well once she gets there.

Hello all.
Its blimming freezing!

Well, DD1 is back at pre-school this morning. Only half day though.
Need to do a front room tidy before i pick her up. Oops i have less than an hour now!

shouldbe Sorry.I will have to block you from my MSN so that you get supper done. Or just make it when you do the DC's and re-heat it later. Hope all ok with dh later.

Flamesparrow · 06/02/2007 11:06

Missed you arguing Jas You ok?

Took me ages to decipher AOT I have a pair of stiletto heel boots that I fell in love with, but can only wear if I have a pushchair to hold onto

1hr on shop done
Pack lunches done
Clean Ebay Highchair
1 load of dishes done
Put away 1 wash pile done (and it was DD's which is the biggest)
1 washload in done

Not enough time to highchair before school so will do a bit more to shop, and fold some washing.

PM list...

1 load of dishes
Put round washing
Load 1 wash load
CLEAN EBAY HIGHCHAIR
Dinner!

Going out for a couple of hours with the DC, so not a huge amount of time to do that list

Have ignored the under-stairs cupboard and started to try to find solutions to household filing instead - we've got hold of two small sets of filing drawers so I've been trying to work out where to keep them - lugged them upstairs to the office/spare room but they just add to the mismatched furniture in there. Not sure they're quite right. There's a small enough space in the utility room but I'm not sure if they'll be easily accessable and I'll end up still avoiding doing the filing!
I'm trying very hard not to let myself cry but am feeling awful today

shouldbedoingthehousework · 06/02/2007 11:41

jelley xx

laloop · 06/02/2007 11:44

I'm getting nowhere with the housework so far today. Going to try to get ds2 down for an hour's nap before the school run to give me a chance of finishing at least some of the jobs on my list.
Jelley and shouldbe, sorry that you're both having rotten days x
