Glad it all went as well as it could yesterday.

shouldbe - you sound like I feel today.

I've spoken to dp again and he is shopping on the way home for me (I've almost run out of pain killers which is not helping my mood)

Jelley {{{{HUGS}}}} for you. My dh and I argue mainly about 1 thing...and neither of us can find a solution...it goes away for a while then rears its ugly head again...and its me who always feels worse. He is very stubborn, and if he does feel he is in the wrong then it never shows, which is why we can't find a solution because he won't budge...and I can't do anything more than I am doing!

Anyway...I hope you feel better soon xx

Hello ladies!

Well, I've been into town this morning and bought lots of lovely coordinated cleaning tools and supplies to help me stay motivated. I just have to actually use them now . I suspect my favourite new tool is going to be the hob scraper bought to reduce scrubbing time!
I "did" the kitchen yesterday, so here's my list for today. I need to get it done by 3:30.

-Washing loaded x2 (dd2 wet the bed last night)
-Fold and put away clean clothes
-Sort out junk mail
-set up new email accounts
-polish hall furniture
-wash hall floor
-sort coat cupboard.

Back to check in asap!

laloop · 06/02/2007 13:23

hi everyone
Have spent too much time on MN and drinking tea this morning to achieve much list-wise, but here's an updated so far

  • unload and load dishwasher done although nearly enough for yet another load to go in - next load done
  • kitchen, wipe down surfaces and kitchen table done

  • hallway, clear belongings that have built up again back up to lo's rooms done
  • clean bathrooms
  • mop kitchen floor (will leave for dh!)
  • vacuum downstairs done
  • do mission, sort kitchen larder
  • maybe a walk or swim if I can force myself - have decided it's far too cold today to do any exercise
  • make tonight's dinner in advance (can't decide what yet, maybe a casserole)- still to do

I'm just soooo tired today, wanna go for a sleep...

Hi everyone,

(((hugs))) for jelley and shouldbe. Hope the week improves.

Fantastic nights sleep - 6 hours in onestretch

Nightmare morning. DD1 has pink eye so had to go to Drs. He has given drops and said she can go to friends birthday party tomorrow. phew !

She then fell and cut her knee and cried for a whole hour because it bled and hurt. She wouldnt eat her lunch and has just fallen asleep so will probably wake up grumpy as in pain AND hungry

Nothing done today but i will work though my list if i get the chance.

tortoise · 06/02/2007 13:45

Woo hoo!!! Just seen the weather forcast for here and we should get snow tomorrow night! Very exciting!

shouldbedoingthehousework · 06/02/2007 13:58

Very exciting tort

Haven't got anything much else done - forgot I have the hairdresser coming so haven't been able to run errands for dh yet. Will have to go later after collecting dd. Do you think I can make pizza dough v early and leave it to rise for longer without spoiling it? I'll probably do that - or buy one in town

ludaloo · 06/02/2007 17:13

Well I haven't actually managed to do much more of my list...I wiped the skirting boards down and thats about it!

I'm very

My car has been at the same garage for nearly 3 and a Half months!!! I went to get it the other day...still not done
I have just ranted at the secretary on the phone....I told her that it is beyond a joke, and I am coming to get it first thing in the morning, and I'll take it somewhere else .
AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH !

I'll carry the list over for tomorrow now.

~Clean Microwave
~Hoover Upstairs
~Clean Fridge
~Put washing Away

See.....I'm very !

ludaloo · 06/02/2007 17:16

luda poor you! You must be very (clearly you are) about your car! How frustrating! Is there another garage nearby who'll be able to look at it?

Have good evenings everyone

laloop · 06/02/2007 19:00

Hi all
Well done everyone who worked through their lists.
luda - that's really shocking about your car, 3.5 months and not fixed yet - no wonder you are so

I've just had one of those really non-productive days that you get when you have small children - up during night, up far too early this morning and then a whingy ds2 who wouldn't go for a nap during day. So have quite a few housework things to carry over until tomorrow. Plus I've just realised I've been wearing my jumper back to front all day, great...

satin - poor dd1's knee, how she's doing now?

Jelley · 06/02/2007 19:04

satin - @6 hours sleep

luda - that is really bad. How have you managed without it all that time?

laloop @ the jumper

OP posts:
shouldbedoingthehousework · 06/02/2007 19:10

Just got both lo's into bed, ran myself a bath, got in dd shouts out that she's been sick - covering herself and all her bedcovers

Could do without more sick dc

Jelley · 06/02/2007 19:11

Oh, shouldbe. Your day is just getting worse.

OP posts:
laloop · 06/02/2007 19:14

shouldbe

ludaloo · 06/02/2007 20:30

oh no shouldbe poorly children!!! Hope the sicks go soon, {{{HUGS}}} for her xx

My car stress has been going on for so long. I went about a month, maybe three weeks with no car....Ivor can tell you how long ago that was! I wanted to meet up with her...but couldn't actually get the 15 miles into town to meet her for ages!
I then had a car from the garage to use for a while, but they soon needed that back, then my dh managed to get me one to use from a friend. So, I have had a car, but its not the same as having my car..

NOT GOOD!!!!

tortoise · 06/02/2007 21:03

Evening all.
Oh no shouldbe. Just when she was back to school too. I hope she is better soon and no-one else gets ill.

Busy evening doing tea and tidying up after DC!
Helped DS1 with homework. Hasn't got it all done though. He's had it since last week and its been left until today to do(hand in tomorrow). Homework seems to be being left to do here more and more now. Too much like hard work for his Dad to help him and when he does he writes an answer for DS1 to copy down. Hows that help him to learn?

They almost never read to him either. I want to make time to hear them but its not always possible. im going to try harder or they will never read outside of school. DS1 struggles already and needs to do more.

Jelley · 06/02/2007 22:05

Can you get big ones to read to little ones?
DD2 is really behind with reading (DD1 reads anything she can lay hands on), but will read to ds, and feels like she's helping rather than working.

OP posts:
tortoise · 06/02/2007 22:16

Thats worth a try.Thanks. DS1 struggles alot more than DS2. DS2 wil spell words for DS1! I do worry about how he is going to get on as he gets older.
