Good morning

I'm off to work in a little while, but just wanted to say hello

I managed to keep the place tidy last night and have emptied and loaded the dw, wm etc already this morning so dh should be able to just clear away breakfast and lunch and any games inbetween without too much trouble...I hope.

shouldbe oh glad you sound much more cheerful, hope work goes well. Phew for new WM

satinshoes soundslike you have a packed day too and no housework which is what we all ned sometimes (didn't flylay herself say no housework at weekends?) Enjoy the party - even if it is for a three year old!

elliesmum just make them wear unironed clothes and tel them it is trendy!

Jelley glad you are all better. Are you putting your washing out on the line now? I am still piling it on the radiators but should be outside really as it makes the place look really messy (I have washing on the line from two weeks ago )

Have not done a list yet but will just be wm and dw as I got on top of things a bit yesterday. Might take dcs swimming as dp want to watch the football and it irritates me less if I am not in the house. Don't feel like doing much but am happy to stay at home today - am off to wine tasting tonight so am looking forward to that.

I've just hung it outside. There is a thick layer of frost on the grass, but it does dry if I remember to take it in at dusk. The next lot will go on an airer.

Hi all
Hope lo's are getting better
Not sure what we are up to today but it's a nice bright (but cold!) day here so might go for a walk later. Will give the house a quick clean but won't strain myself too much
Will have to head to shops at some stage for ds2's birthday present (he'll be 2 on Monday, not Tuesday as I typed yesterday in my sleep-deprived state!)

Put wet washing on radiators

Tidy kitchen
Make lunch for DS, DD and me
Put stray toys away in playroom
Tidy up in living room
Hoover all of downstairs
Clean hard floors downstairs
Dust and polish in living room
Clean downstairs windows
Tidy DDs Room
Clean DDs Room
Hoover DDs Room
Tidy DSs Room
Clean DSs Room
Hoover DSs Room
Hoover Hall
Clean bathroom

Mega list so will just do what I can get done - most of it are quick jobs. eg DSs room pretty tidy so will take me two minutes

We all got up very late today...have only managed the d/w and w/m so far.

DC seem better today than yesterday.

Been in the loft this morning having a mini sort out. Not got much done really!!

Hope to go to the park this afternoon while its sunny.

Trying to help DS1 with homework.Would help if i knew what to do on it.

Have
sorted out my new phone
done a load of washing
dried a load of washing
tidied my bedroom ready for new bed
hoovered downstairs
cleaned the bathroom
washed up and tidied kitchen
opened windows and doors to let in the sun
started on a living room hotspot

To do

Photos again!
More tidying
Encourage ds to do his room
Shopping
Perhaps a trip this afternoon
Tidying cupboard under stairs
Buying new loo seat
Sorting someone to come and help me put up new bed!

It is times like this where being a single parent can get complicated. Trying to find people to help put up beds and sort your loo seat in particular.

Kids have been out and visited their grandad on their bikes. It is great being so close.

Hi all. Just a quickie. I want to get on lots whilst dh, ds, dd and the dog are out walking.

glitterfairy Is there someone who advertises as a handyperson in the local post office (for example) who could help? I think they're sometimes ex policeofficers who just want odd jobs. Word of mouth is the best recommendation though I'm sure.

Off to do jobs.

hi everyone - why am i not getting anywhere??? My house is still a mess and i have been tidying for hours!

I have done 2 dishwasher loads
2 washing loads (DS did spectacular projectile vomming)
put dry laundry away
cleaned kitchen
cleaned and emptied fridge

lounge looks like a bomb has hit it and our room looks shocking -

heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!

Afternoon All, hope you're all well

I have to say it's no/minimal flying today...I really really overdid the red wine last night and I'm just kicking the hangover into touch I was in a real state (but happy) as I haven't really let my hairdown for so long but I managed to walk into a door while I was opening it and...fall over backwards into our cast iron bath and bang my head hard .

OK I won't binge drink again but I only hurt myself, I did it at home rather than in a club/on the street and (irresponsible bit now) Hell it was fun

I did more than enough last week and yesterday to earn it so other than thumping headache and a s-l-o-w day it's hardly....god why am I justifying being a stupid silly girl?

Will get going ASAP. Promise!

Hi all.
DS's gone back to their Dads now.
Went to the park.They had fun.

Im on a downer agaion now. Freezer is basically empty. Don't think there is anything the girls will eat tomorrow for tea.And hopefully enough bread to last til tuesday. I have nothing and i can't take it anymore.

Thanks for the tip justivor. tortoise I am so sorry you feel like this. It is a real nightmare coping and sorting out money I know. Things are a little better for me at the moment but I know they can deteriorate at any time and it is hard when all the burden for coping is on your shoulders.

Big to you and glad the kids enjoyed the park.

hoover
mop
washing x 3 -2 loads dry and put away
change bed
wipe down surfaces
wipe down large appliances
tidy kids room
sort girls clothes
sort baby toys
clean kitchen

I'm hoping for a lie in tomorrow -very unlikely but I can dream

tort have a good day today

dh is working today so I'm not sure if I'll get much done - and anyway I'm trying to save weekends as family time not housework. I need to do some of the usual jobs - dw, laundry etc but will try to avoid doing much else and just have some time with the lo's. There are some small jobs which need doing in their bedrooms so if they're in the right mood I may try to make a game of it with them otherwise I'll leave it till later in the week.

We all have colds again! Just got over sicks and now we have colds! When will it ever stop!!

Tort I hope you are feeling better today, I really wish I could help you out but we are only just keeping our heads above water ourselves. I feel so much for you though, we have had months where we have had to live off tins of whatever is in the cupboard, one time dh sold his PS2 and his golf clubs just so we could pay the rent! It is rotten, but hopefully something will happen soon to make things better. I haven't checked my lottery ticket yet...If I'm a winner, then I'll send something your way
FWIW I think you do a fantastic job, your kids look happy and you seem like a fantastic and caring mum...so well done you, I don't think I'd cope quite so well

Well, I have done the d/w and stuck a load in the w/m

Hello all

Back and recovered from my excesses of Friday night. Did a bit of flying and as a pennace I vacced DH's office and gave him the old rug so it looks like a room now.

I also did

WM loading and emptying x2
Taking washing up to dry and hanging out
Stripping off bed clothes
Remaking the bed
Tidying DS's room

This morning I got up at 7:15 and
Cleaned kitchen
Emptied DW
Loaded DW
Put away

DH did roast duck last night and everything was coated in a thin layer of duck fat

I've also got Ds's market stall out and tidied his toy storage area.

Tort sorry things are bad again. It does feel like it will never end. Good on you for not giving in. If you get the chance or have the ingredients etc a batch cooking of nursery foods (sheperds pie etc) are good freezer fillers. I always feel very 'Nigellaish when I've stashed stuff to the freezer.
