Good morning

I'm off to work in a little while, but just wanted to say hello

I managed to keep the place tidy last night and have emptied and loaded the dw, wm etc already this morning so dh should be able to just clear away breakfast and lunch and any games inbetween without too much trouble...I hope.

Have a good day everyone

Hi everyone
tortoise I've haven't been on PC since yesterday morning so missed your thread last night. Glad that you have food sorted out for the next few days - if there's anything I can do, please let me know.

Not going to do too much today, just a very quick tidy up. It's very cold and foggy here today so maight just light the coal fire and take it easy today.

Hope everyone has a nice day

tortoise · 04/02/2007 11:25

Hello.
I'm feeling much happier today.Huge weights been lifted off my shoulders.

Lovely sunny(but cold) day here. Might tidy round the garden later. Toys and bits everywhere!

ludaloo sorry you all have colds now. We have too. I'm not too bad yet!

Have a good day everyone.

shouldbedoingthehousework · 04/02/2007 13:29

We've done our weekly shopping and are now planning to get some fresh air, it's a lovely day here too so we may head to the playground or perhaps just play in the garden. dh hopes to be home soon which will be good.

Better go and unpack the groceries.

ruby Hope it goes as well as possible.

DD's bedroom tidy and hoovered.
Small area on my floor hoovered.
Upstairs loo hoovered.
Hall way hoovered.

WM on and a load of towels on the line.
Washing up done.

DD's eating lunch now.
Will get outside after that.

satinshoes · 04/02/2007 13:53

hello all.

birthday party yesterday was fun.

Bit knackered as DD1 is sleeping badly due to another cold. Dd2 not doing too badly but we're putting her in her cot later as her snuffling is keeping me awake and then she goes back to sleep but it takes me ages.

I've had a bit of a tidy today. Bought some more storage boxes for toys and have been sorting out the play room. Quite pleased as i now only have two types of storage as opposed to a mixture of boxes, baskets, bags etc, I'm just printing pictures off the net to label them with so DD knows where things go.

Hope you're all ok.

xx

satinshoes · 04/02/2007 13:54

P.S Hope it goes ok tomrrow ruby.

JustIvor · 04/02/2007 14:49

Just a quick post. I haven't read much of the thread.

I hope tomorrow goes as well as it possibly can for you Ruby and family.

Okay, I'm off to do some ironing. The kitchen is pretty good. I did the utility room out yesterday so that looks quite tidy. We will be away for half term next week so I'm toying with the idea of doing lists ready for packing. Dd has sorted out lots of her outgrown clothes in order to qualify for her pocket money (£3 a week. 25p less for each night they are late to bed when it is their fault. 25p less per day for forgetting to do music practice (ds only). They have to tidy their rooms and put away ironed clothes plus do something extra i.e. sort out a dressing table/chest of drawers/desk drawer in order to qualify. They are also allowed 50p a week of mobile phone usage for non family things i.e. texting friends. Any more than that has to be paid for. Sound a bit harsh? The other way doesn't work! They are 13 yo and 11 yo btw. )

tortoise · 04/02/2007 15:17

Front garden looking a little tidier. Ball pit balls picked up from all over back garden.
I have a bump on my nose! DD2 accidentally hit my nose with a stick.

Going to sit here for a bit now.

grouchyoscar · 04/02/2007 16:39

Wishing you and your family every strength for tomorrow Ruby

Well done EHM.
And thanks, think i will be ok.

Jelley · 04/02/2007 20:18

Evening all.

Ruby I hope tomorrow goes ok. I will be thinking of you and your family.

I didn't get my lie in but I've pretty much given up believing anything dp says when he promises things like that, so not too disappointed.

I got a few jobs done in the house, and am going to pull the covers off the sofas before bed, so all the bits are on the floor ready to hoover up tomorrow. I've got a busy day tomorrow, out most of the day, but I think we are back in the kitchen (my favourite week) so I'll try and pop in here.

Jelley · 04/02/2007 20:19

My washing basket is empty

bewilderbeast · 04/02/2007 20:56

hello all, we've moved! Having a complete nightmare, the house had been sold to us by private developers, I think we are mugs, there is nothing that has been done right, we have spent every day repairing or re-doing things, not one internal door shuts. I swear it wasn't this bad when we looked round, or maybe we were just so desperate to find somewhere we never noticed but honestly who checks that the sink has actually been fitted properly when they look round a house. I am cleaning but only little bits! When I have the net agian (friday hopefully, I am currently piggybacking off the schools next door and feel a bit cheeky doing so) then I shall rejoin you and try and get this place clean and tidy. Hope you are all well and happy! I've missed mnet!

glitterfairy · 04/02/2007 20:59

On my third wash today and I can see that there is hope to see the bottom but changing sheets tomorrow so all will be lost!

Have done all the washing up though and the drying and nearly finished menus and shopping for tomorrow. Have a very shiny sink!

Am knackered now and am having a rest. Off to watch 24.

tortoise · 04/02/2007 21:02

Hi bewilder. good to see you.
Sorry you re having problems with the new house. hope you get it sorted.

JustIvor · 04/02/2007 21:52

Just had a quick look at the last few posts. I need to tidy up in the living room a bit before going to bed.

I wanted to say Jelley that I'm sorry you didn't get the lie in you were promised. I don't want to make a big deal out of it at all but if your dp had promised you a lie in then he should have got up to enable you to have one. Otherwise, he's not a man of his word and who wants to be that? You're doing better than me on the washing basket front. Dd found her school blouse crumpled and dirty tonight. She is going to have to do without it for a day or two and wear one of the other tops instead. She's supposed to be wearing the blouse because it is long sleeved and helps protect her sore skin on her arms from the fluff of the jumper. Twit!

Jelley · 05/02/2007 00:08

Ivor - he Isn't a man of his word.
If I repeatedly woke him up and told him to get up, eventually he would, but by then I would be cross and stressed and unable to go back to sleep.

Almost 12 months ago he spent £400 on wood to build a shed....it is still in the garden, totally untouched.

One day he will do something he says he will, and I will die from the shock
