What do your family do with their bathtowels...

...immediately after using them? In our old flat the bathroom was directly off the kitchen so it was easy to just sling them over a chair. But in our new house there is nowhere immediately upstairs to put them and so they end up strewn all over the house sometimes all day because we're then all running about like headless chickens trying to get out of the house for school/work [

Argh posted too soon!

I really don't want to wash after every use but don't have enough space on the towel rail in the bathroom to accommodate four towels.

So what do you do in your house? I feel like we need a system...

Ours get put over the bannister upstairs in landing. They dry off and are off the floor!

Zippidydoodah · 01/07/2016 22:53

Dp puts his on the towel rail in the bathroom or strewn over the bed Hmm

I put mine in the airing cupboard, and the dcs' towers go on their radiators!

Zippidydoodah · 01/07/2016 22:53

I throw mine and DDs over the top of our bedroom doors to dry. DP puts his on the banister on the landing.

DramaAlpaca · 01/07/2016 22:55

DH & I put ours on the towel rail, the oldest DC hang theirs over the banisters and the youngest one leaves his on his bedroom floor.

Sorry, not helpful!

ChesterFuckingDraws · 01/07/2016 22:57

We have an over door hook thing for the bathroom door, it has enough hooks for each of our towels to go on it. I hog a radiator for mine though

ChickadeeChick · 01/07/2016 23:01

Yes, radiators in winter :)

bakeoffcake · 01/07/2016 23:04

We hang them on big hooks on our bathroom door. They dry out quite quickly. The DC have hooks on their bedroom doors.

conkerpods · 02/07/2016 00:10

Door hook on our bedroom door.
The DC's go on the bannister on the landing.
I like to just have the hand towel on the bathroom towel rail otherwise the room doesn't warm up (in winter)

dudsville · 02/07/2016 08:23

We bought a thing from ikea, some sort of rack we found in the kitchen section. It has 4 bars that are towel width. We hung it high on the bathroom wall above the radiator.

Ruhrpott · 02/07/2016 08:28

We have these on radiators and also put them over stair banisters

Hang them on the top of your bedroom door, the corner part

This is what I do as we have no space

Archedbrowse · 02/07/2016 08:52

We installed a double towel rail over the radiator however everyone else in my family just ignores it and hangs them on the bannister. I don't like it as it looks messy, but have to admit that they do dry well there.

pinkieandperkie · 02/07/2016 08:54

Kids leave the towels on the floor or bed, I put my towel over the bannister.

BluePitchFork · 02/07/2016 08:54

hooks over bathroom door and using smaller towels (one size bigger than hand towels)

Archedbrowse · 02/07/2016 08:54

Pretty much like ruhrs thing, but actually attached to the wall.

mishmash1979 · 02/07/2016 08:56

Ones in our en suite go on the towel radiator, kids bathroom ones get hung over the airing cupboard door,

skivvywoman · 02/07/2016 11:07

I've bought I small clothes house just for drying the used towels
