Vacuum storage bags

So I have bought cheap ones (Poundshop) didn't work. Bought slightly better ones (Dunelm) appeared to work - have filled up with air now.

Before I buy anymore can someone recommend some that work, desperate to store winter duvets!

I got the expensive ones of the TV advert. They worked really well until they decide to self expand in the loft after 6weeks

I can't be any help as I've had the same problem with a couple of brands (bought from Amazon but unfortunately cannot remember brand names ) however, I'm also interested in what's good to use. Vacuum bags are so useful and it's so satisfying to see everything shrink down!!

Marking my place. Didn't buy cheap ones but did buy two different brands, all but one of the bags used filled back up within a few days -_- we bought from Amazon and went for ones with great reviews too!

I've tried loads and the only ones I've had consistent success with is Lakeland. They often have them on buy one get one half price.

There are a couple I've been using for about 4 years for seasonal stuff. So they've been opened and vacuumed about 8 times.

I've had some Poundland ones which worked reliably and some which didn't - it seems to be the luck of the draw

Mine are from IKEA and work really well!

I have only ever had success with Lakeland. The good thing about Lakeland is that they replace anything that doesn't work, so if there is a problem they will sort it out.

I'd recommend ikea ones too. Loads of different sizes available and very reliable (unless you put something sharp in it and it punctures the bag whilst vacuuming it)

Yes I've got cheap IKEA ones too which work so far, only had them 6 months, and before that I used to get them at the ironmongers at great expense, and they'd last a few years. Can't remember the brand though!

You can get some quality large vacuum storage bags from here They are much better quality then the ones in poundshops and Dunelm.

IKEA £2.50 for 2 best I've used still flat after 6 months

Sadly ikea is over an hour away so looks like Lakeland is the best bet - half suspected it before I asked but was hopeful to save some money!

Got a huge king size 13 tog duvet, bought2 of the vacuum bags for 6 quid from Wilkco, never used them before, was a 2 man job, but seem really good.

I have Argos ones, they've been pretty good.

Bitter experience flutter?

I've had the same problem with all the ones I've tried (though not tried lakeland yet). My work around is to sulk all the air out, then wedge it in the airing cupboard so tightly it can't expand even if it wants to.

I have some small roll up ones which are great for outgrown baby clothes. Sadly can't remember where from - possibly Aldi or Dunelm... pain trying to get more!

The packmate brand from Lakeland are great, very sturdy, and if you send off the form in the pack to activate the 5 year guarantee they send you a free travel size one too.

I might try wilko first on basis it's near and report back...

i bought from poundland storage vaccum bag & they did not work when i rang in head ffice lady said it not their fault fo now i am looking better one & coustomer service

I've had them from Argos, about £6 for 2, have been fine, been in and out of them a few times.
