Oooooooh just where I want to be! Am going to do this one today. Have been doing bits on it little by little and it is getting there. I have a new bed arriving tomorrow and want it to look nice.

shouldbedoingthehousework · 22/01/2007 07:23

Good morning

Thanks jelley

I'm feeling a bit more back on track this morning. Caught up with a lot around the house yesterday which was great. We have a busy day on a Monday so don't have much time for FLYing but I'll have a quick look in our bedroom once dd is at school and before ds and I head out on our errands for the day.

Also need to do some ironing.

That'll be it for the day I think, other than the usual dw and wiping down the kitchen etc...

Have a good day FLYfriends

Morning Ladies

Master bedroom...thats a good place to do this week...its a tip!!!
The bathroom is still smelling and looking nice from last week and as our bedroom is closest to the bathroom, two rooms in a row will look nice! We have SIL and her B/F and 3 kids comming on Friday so I shall be cleaning lots and making sure there is plenty of fresh bedding etc..

Today I desperatly need to sort the Bills File out. I cleared two HotSpots yesterday and most of the kitchen HotSpot was bills....they all got crammed into the file any old how, and I'm now beginning to loose track!

See you in a bit...must get kids ready for school xxx

Morning Grouchy Enjoy your day.
Shouldbe Snow how excitingIs it heavily falling?

shouldbedoingthehousework · 22/01/2007 09:05

hello again -
EHM it seems to be coming in bursts - typically when we had to go to school it was quite heavy but it's passed again now. Very wet slushy snow so the wrong type to settle - shame really cos it hasn't really snowed since ds was a baby so he's never played in it. I have lots to do today though, out and about in the car so will be pleased if that's the last we see of it for now
Have a good day x

bewilderbeast - missed you off earlier - hope the move goes well

luda and grouchy - busy days for the two of you again, you always seem to have impressive lists!

ludaloo · 22/01/2007 11:09

OMG! My filing is horrendous! I have found Bank Statements, TV licences, Insurance details, employment details....oh god you name it...all from about 6 years ago!!! We didn't even have children!!! And for some reason we have kept them....so they are all being chucked! I've shredded some but it is taking FOREVER so I've chucked a load on the fire I'm really hoping we don't actually need this stuff! EEEKKKK!

Top of wardrobe has been completely cleared off too...there were all sorts of bills and statements up there too!!
I hope DH doesn't come home and freak!!!! I can't possibly see what the benefit to keeping all this is though!!! We have documents on cars we don't even own any more and all sorts. (its just a bit unnerving chucking it all)

Anyway...off to pick ds up and get on with it!!!!

BFN xx

ludaloo · 22/01/2007 11:12

Why is it Insurance companies send you at least two sets of information??? We have two cars, and about 4 documents and papers all saying the same thing! Every time I make even the slightest ammendment to my policy I seem to get another two copies in the post...Its Ridiculous!!!!!!!

ludaloo · 22/01/2007 11:14

OMG! we have phone bills from 1999!!!!!! Good Grief! We got married that year!

ludaloo · 22/01/2007 11:15

Sorry....I AM going now......

Jelley · 22/01/2007 11:51

I've not achieved anything yet.

Washing is finishing, and I've been to the shops.
DS is clingy and not sleeping.

OP posts:
EllieHsMum · 22/01/2007 11:55

Wow ludaloo, we had the very same paperwork declutter just before dd arrived last year. We had kept phone bills, and gas/electricity bills from a flat we had rented years ago, which has since been demolished

Your doing well it really a worth while job. I know what you mean about it being unnerving throwing this type of stuff away.

Update.

EllieHsMum · 22/01/2007 11:56

Jelley Don't be so sad you've finished the washing & been to the shops. Its really hard when they are clingy.

shouldbedoingthehousework · 22/01/2007 12:07

Hello - ds and I are home from our morning's errands. The snow has passed, none settled and it's now a lovely sunny winters day (v v cold though and quite windy)

Haven't done anything very productive just run round delivering some bits and pieces for dh.

luda I'm dreading tackling our paperwork - maybe you'll have some good tips to pass on by the end of the day?!
jelley it's impossible to get on when lo's are clingy - how about having a nice cup of tea instead?

Beds are made and bedrooms look acceptable.
kitchen looks OK - but will need a quick once over after lunch.
ds wants to play on the computer after lunch so I'll probably do some ironing then

Then collect dd and take her and a friend to after school activity, home, supper and to bed.
Dh is out tonight till late so I'll probably eat with the kids and have an early bath

satinshoes · 22/01/2007 12:35

hi all,

bad night with lots of feeding and dd1 has cold so no pre-school.

all i've done is hoover upstairs. that will have to do.

Jelley · 22/01/2007 13:16

Thanks EHM and shouldbe. I went down the cup of tea route

I have just done 15 mins in the kitchen whil he emptied an entire box of wipes onto the floor, and got loads done.

Then I did 15 mins laundry. I put away, folded, hung up, rearranged and movedall the wet stuff about to fit more on the airer. I've got another load in the machine, which will have to go in the tumble drier, and nappies to do tonight.

he's eating his lunch now, so I'm going to try and tidy up in here, and if he goes to sleep before the school run, I'll do 15 mins in my bedroom.

I need to keep busy, or I sit around feeling useless, and waste the whole day.

OP posts:
Jelley · 22/01/2007 13:17

satin. The hoovering is more than I would have done! Just rest and try again tomorrow.

EllieHsMum · 22/01/2007 15:04

Satin I agree with Jelley take care.

tortoise · 22/01/2007 15:43

Hello all.
Not done much today. Dr specialist came at about 11am then left at 12.45.Then back for 2pm to take DD's to their Dads so he could see them with him and talk to him.
I am happy with how it went.He was a lovely old chap and saw exactly what all were like just from chatting! DD's were cuddling him saying 'I love you' to him!

My job now is to put huge pile of washing away otherwise i can't go to bed!

EllieHsMum · 22/01/2007 15:45

Tortoise so glad it all went well. Your kids sound very loving & sweet. A real credit to their Mum.
