EllieHsMum The person who was assaulted wasn't badly hurt, thanks. He was sitting in his car, waiting at a junction. The guy was a chap who had apparently been playing chicken, walking out in front of cars. He had a close shave it seems and took it out on the poor young guy driving.

Oh, and grouchyoscar, I vote for touching up the paintwork as long as you remember to stop and admire it (difficult if it blends into the rest of the wall/ceiling/whatever because you've done a damn fine job, I appreciate) for days afterwards. I'm still admiring that square of space on the landing. It had a black bin bag on it for months.

Did someone mention cake? I read a post about biscuits earlier and rootled in the choccie cupboard and ate 5 Jaffa Cakes in swift succession! They have a best before date of April 06. How could we have been so neglectful of them?
