Specifically the animal one?

Reviews are good but some mentioned poor battery life?

I want it to cope with crumbs and cat fur! Will it cope?

I have the cordless Animal/Fluffy. Got it 6 months ago because I am very lazy and it is just brilliant! Battery fine for me but you could always vac downstairs then upstairs later. Its powerful light versatile and so easy to use and store. We bought from Tesco but check for an offer. OP what are you waiting for????? Star

I love mine. Use it most days for a quick tidy and get easily get round the house in that time. If i'm doing a proper clean, i tend to focus just on upstairs or downstairs. I couldn't go back to a corded one now with all the faffing

crayfish · 22/05/2016 09:12

I love mine! Henry doesn't get a look in these days. Yes if you have it on max the battery only last about 20 minutes but I have a tiny house so that's enough for a quick whizz round. I actually Hoover every day now and I would never bother doing that with a proper Hoover. I have cats so it's well worth it for me.

My only criticism is that it takes a while to charge once the battery has run out.

TyrionLannistersShadow · 22/05/2016 09:33

I have the V6 too and love it. I haven't used my big hoover since the day I bought the v6 nearly a year ago. I find that because it's so light and easy to use I hoover much more than I used to and because I'm keeping on top of it , it's never a big job iykwim. I have a 4 bed, 3 bathroom house and I can hoover it all on one charge, ie about 20 mins. Can't ask for more than that ;)

Parch14 · 22/05/2016 21:00

Yea the dc59 has a nice purple pipe so you can use it as a normal Hoover :)

Bails2014 · 22/05/2016 21:05

I've got the DC59, one dog, a tradesman, a toddler and a horse. We live in a little four bed house and it will do either upstairs or downstairs on a charge (always on max power). Great for doing my car too. I love it, so handy and easy to use, no falling over wires, one of my favourite household tools!

monicaglenfield · 23/05/2016 07:36

I have a Dyson DC58 Animal and i love it. I've had it for about two years and it's never let me down. It runs for 20 minutes on powerful suction and 17 minutes on the lower suction setting. It comes with a few accessories that definitely help when cleaning those hard to reach places or when you've got pets like me.

Thanks

I have a DC44 animal, love it. I live in a standard terrace and get it out to grab crumbs and cat hair a few times a day. They're not really suitable for doing the whole house at once

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 25/05/2016 16:44

That's exactly what I want it for, just the car, crumbs and to follow the cat aroundGrin

The newer ones are - V6 and V8, but eye wateringly expensive. Ive just treated myself to a new V8 after a stressful few months, due to arrive imminentlyas, dyson handhelds are literally all that stands between me and a nervpus breakdown, as a neat freak working parent. Happy to report back.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 25/05/2016 16:47

in my defence i havent had a "normal" hoover for 5 years or so.

StillYummy · 25/05/2016 19:02

I have one and it is fab for the car though it will need charging after. It is also good on pet beds and if you spill some thing dry. Dh didn't want it but said we would replace it of it died as he has learned to love it.

midnightmoomoo · 25/05/2016 21:27

I have the Fluffy one (got it on a price match in John Lewis). It's bloody brilliant, gets cat fur off the sofa cushions like no one's business! Plus, brace yourself, as it's a gadget, my husband keeps using it!!!! Without being asked nagged !!!! Still reeling from the shock of that......

schbittery · 26/05/2016 11:12

my chldren call them "the Star Wars Blasters" and actually aak if they can hoover!! they get annoyed when they cant find anyyhing on the floor to pick up.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 26/05/2016 20:43

Omg, just picked it up and used it on the stairs- took 2 mins an the cat hair that came up was quite revolting!!

My new favourite toyGrin

OP posts:
WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 26/05/2016 20:50

I hoovered downstairs with it today, emptied the fluff canister.

Decided to do the stairs even though they looked clean and nearly filled the canister up again! Amount of crap it sucks up is amazing!

I have found one downside to it though. The dog hates it!! When I use it she hides in the bathroom and if I leave it propped up anywhere she barks at it non stop. I have to hide it from her or she just goes nuts! Funny because my old Hoover is noiser.

Bugger1ugs · 26/05/2016 20:57

I fill the canister with one vac of the stairs - it's properly revolting with me (long hair), DCat1 (black fur), DCat2 (tabby fur) and DH (bald). But I love it, it's definitely effective!

WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 26/05/2016 21:02

I'm glaring at the cats and dog and blaming them for sure!
