Do the following. Just want to see am I very slow or is the householder expecting to much.

I sorted then ironed

10 men's shirts, (shirts had to be unbuttoned, then ironed, then rebuttoned and folded, not hung)
6 dresses,
9 kids trousers,
14 kids tops/jumpers,
7 Babygro's
7 adults trousers,
6 mens t-shirts,
8 blouses/tops,
3 jumpers.

Rest of laundry sorted and folded (duvets and sheets)

How long would it take you???

They are being really unreasonable!

I iron a lot of stuff that doesn't need ironing - like baby gros. So, from experience that lot would take me at least three hours. I have a steam generator and I'm pretty picky!

My wonderful cleaner does 3 hours a week. I would never expect her to clean AND iron. We agree that she will either do some ironing OR some cleaning. And she is SO much quicker and more efficient than me!

99withaflake makes an excellent suggestion! They are being unreasonable.

Gosh that's about as much as I had when I was a housekeeper, plus 3 bedding sets, but I did 4 hours there a day, so an hour of ironing each day. Do you want to go back? I'd be tempted to pre-empt them as say you won't due to their unrealistic expectations.

I don't mind going back but am going to suggest cleaning one week, ironing the next. But tbh I dont think I will be asked back. He gave me the impression he just wanted me out the door. I have no problem with hard work, but really felt like screaming when doing the ironing.

Ironing would take me 2 and a half to 3 hours.
Most cleaners I know won't do ironing though so maybe they need separate cleaning and ironing services?
