Thanks, Jelly.

How exciting - not the thought of cleaning my faucets of course but Satinshoes I'll look forward to hearing how she gets on....

I have no children till 1pm today so hope to catch up around the house. There's loads of clean washing to put away ( hate that job!)and a little more to go in the wm. Having a wobbly morning mood wise so hope to distract myself with some cleaning. Dw is on but kitchen needs a clean and tidy so I'll shine my sink and taps and take it from there....

Have a good day everyone x

BudaBauble · 05/12/2006 08:58

Hi all

Right - am back! Need to sort house. There is clutter EVERYWHERE!

Repeat after me: "I must not stay on MN all day"!!

Just back from a lovely weekend in London with DH and DS. Took DS (5) to see Santa in Selfridges, went to Natural History Museum and Science Museum. DH took DS on London Eye yesterday morning while I got some lovely shopping done for me!

Have piles of washing to do. Need to unpack my shopping. Need to declutter kitchen.

Back later - hoping for news of Satinshoes!

Right I'm back but I'm on minimal housework. Still not allowed to do much and the house after 2 weeks of doing nothing looks like a pigsty, literally. Not sure how much I'm going to be able to do with the school runs as well. I did my first yesterday to collect DS1 and I was in such agony and dizzy I didn't know what to do with myself. But I'm going to dust off my timer and maybe start by doing 5 minute slots and see how I get on.

Good luck Satinshoes. Hope everything goes smoothley for you.

sahmtotwo · 05/12/2006 09:17

Oh1 and Buda what a lovely way to spend the weekend, I would so love to be able to do something like that.

ludaloo · 05/12/2006 10:07

Weyhey!!!!!! GOOD LUCK SATINSHOES!!!!!!!!!!

Oh I hope she is doing ok!!!!! [big fingers crossed emoticon]

I like your xmas name Buda!

I think I'm gonna get my car back today!!! YIPPEE!
I'm dreading the bill...but can't wait to get it back!!! I've got to phone them this afternoon!

Apart from that I have to chase up undelivered xmas pressies from Nextonline
I have to get on top of the backlog of washing...how does it always get out of hand?? I do at least two loads a day!!
I also have to do the mission

Bye Bye for a bit xx

CranberryJelley · 05/12/2006 11:05

My timer is broken.
I set it and went to start on the kids room. I did 20 mins by my watch, then noticed the timer (set for 15 ) hadn't moved!

I got a bit more done though

AAAARRRRRRGGGHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

WOMAN ON THE EDGE ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My car was just about to be ready when the central locking apparently went funny, they have had to order a NEW FUSE BOX!!????

THUNK, THUNK, THUNK ]] (me banging my head against the wall)

My DH expects all the other electrical problems they couldn't fathom out might of been down to the faulty FUSE BOX!!! In which case they can take the £300 sensor bit thingy off they insisted on putting in and put the old one back on and give me a soddin break!!

Hummmffff.

SAHMOT....take it easy and don't overdo it!!!

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 05/12/2006 13:06

Hi all.
Had a good tidy up after taking DS1 to pre-school.
Now DD's are going to mess it up again!
Pick up DS's soon.

Still trying to sort xmas contact. My sol is letting the relevant people know our new proposal!

ludaloo · 05/12/2006 13:45

Good luck Tort...hope something good comes out of the proposal for you.

I have just about managed to get on top of the washing....I've put two big piles away (I hate that job too SHOULDBE!)
I've done the mission...nice shiny sink now!

Need to give the bathroom a once over. Dd1 is bringing home twins to play after school!
Need to hoover too.

Satin.....thinking of you xx

Ivor....Sali Mali indeed! Thats not very xmassy!!!
I know what you mean about the xmas plays...dd1 was a fairy in a xmas play all about world war 1 last year!!!!!!!!! It was all VERY confusing!!!!
She is a lamb this year! I know I won't be able to understand it but she has learned her lines very well!
"Croeso i'n stabal ni"
"A ni yw'r wyn"
"Yn ein stabal ni"
(I've got the "welcome to the stable" bit!!!??

Bless... its her dress rehersal tomorrow, she is chuffed to bits! She has little cream tights, a lamb tabard with ears and little black plimsoles

ludaloo · 05/12/2006 17:16

hi.....gosh...I've been on here a lot today!!!!!

cleaned my bathroom too Quootie...its nice when your bathroom is tidy and clean

I have had dd1 and her friends (twins, they are adorable!) rampaging round the house like a whirlwind, dd1 is now whining at me as twins gone home and she wants to open her calender (really is no pleasing her!!) ds looks knackered...he is watching Ice Age and looks very sleepy.

well, i'm off to do some supper and get dd1's lamb costume ready for tomorrow
bye for now

shouldbedeckingthehalls · 05/12/2006 19:48

Kids in bed- ds asleep, dd larking about dressing up her teddies- hope she'll be asleep soon cos she's really tired...

I managed to shine my sink and do a quick sweep of the kitchen but nothing much else today (I have folded my clean washing into appropriate piles but can't face lugging it all up the stairs- maybe dh will help later...) Ds had to come home from pre-school early cos he was sick. He's been absolutely fine since- v lively actually (typical) and managed a huge supper etc so I have no idea what brought the sick on....

Collected dd from school and we all sat together colouring and started to write Christmas cards to kids in dd's class- was lovely to spend happy, peaceful time together and not be asked to put the telly on at all today!

Good luck with your sol Tort- hope you work something out.

Hope you have a less expensive day tomorrow Ruby- why do these things always happen at once?

Hope your car isn't too much longer Luda- how frustrating for you!

See you all tomorrow x

HazelnutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 05/12/2006 20:28

Hi all. satinshoes {{{hugs to you }}} Thinking of you and fingers crossed it all happens soon.

{{{{{hugs to everyone }}}}}}

I had a good start to the day. Everything was going well. Dc all happy, school bus was on time etc. Then I get the post. I had the minutes from a meeting I have with SS. As XP1 was not there, they spoke to him (I don't know how,) anyway he has told the SS that he wants to see the DSs but I wont let him. Its says in the minutes that they are going to try and see if something could be sorted so he can see them at Christmas. I tried phoning the S/Worker but she is not in today, nor is my solicitor. So I don't know what is going to happen. I don't see why he should get to see them as Christmas to give them presents and then bugger off again. That would screw up DS1 for sure! No one has stopped him from seeing them, its all his doing!!

I went shopping with DD and HNtree. I tried not to let XP1 get to me but he did. I dont want the last few months just slip by and he gets away with yet again.

Hope everyone are having a good evening.

I have not done much FLYing so I will have to do loads tomorrow. I have things to wrap but DS1 keeps coming down for silly things so I wont do that yet. I`m sure he knows what I have been up today as DD keeps telling them that she has been on a bus today. With nothing being around, he is now looking to see if I did buy anything. (he seen me wrapping DD birthdat pressies) If only he knew that he was right in front of some bits when they were sat on the sofa

satinshoes · 05/12/2006 20:35

Hi everyone,

I'm still here !

Thanks for your good wishes. I've had lots of rest today. DH has been great and is taking tomorrow off as well to let me rest and get my strength back up to prepare for the inevitable (gulp)

skimmed the thread. sorry to hear about crappy xp issues ongoing for hn and tort.

needless to say no flying for me.

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 05/12/2006 20:57

Evening all.
No news from sol yet! Might still be a trip to court. But hope not!

DS1 was sicj at school about 20 mins before i picked them up. I hadn't had a chance to go and get bread and milk etc so had to go home without it. Phoned xp1 when we got home to let him know he would need to pick DS1 up in the morning. Told him about not getting to the shops and he asked what i needed. I said that had nothing for DS2's lunch box tomorrow and no milk. He said he would do the lunch before picking up in the morning. Then turned up at the door about an hour later with milk for me. Good of him to do it though. He did ask if i could cope for the night with DS1. I said yeah of course! Secretly thinking aaarrrggghhh sick.I'm very bad at dealing with sick! I haven't eaten tonight and will probably be days before i will be able to eat now.
Anyway DS1 was sick once after getting home and has been crying and moaning he is hungry.

Fingers crossed he will be ok tonight and that no-one else gets it.

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 05/12/2006 20:58

HN I hope things work out ok. Your sol knows the truth so should be good to stick up for you.
Glad you got some shopping done. Wrapping might be best when they are school!!

HazelnutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 05/12/2006 21:13

Poor DS1 tort. {{{{tort`s DS1}}}} fingers crossed for him and you that he is ok tonight.

I cant make your xp1 out. 1 minute hes being an asshole, the next he offering to do good things.

Just remember the last time he offered you your DSs and asked about parking he then went and told SS about you and DSs. Hope he not planning something of the same and say that he had to get you milk as you did not have any and he did not want DSs to go without. iykwim. I would not trust your xp1. Does this for you yet you have to use solicitors to sort out xmas day and then maybe court. It just does not seem right some how

Great DH you have satinshoes rest from now on well unless you do some more nesting

Quootiepie · 05/12/2006 21:17

{{hugs}} Torts DS - I know im going to be bad when DS gets sick... I cant even deal with my own! I cry when I throw up!

HazelnutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 05/12/2006 21:18

oops

Yeah tortoise my solicitor does know the truth, its the SS that dont seem to. I dont want him seeing them (say in school time) and then telling that he wants to see them when really he cant be bothered too. It just does not seem fair on them Ds1 more than DS2 as DS2 is not really bothered with his dad.

Yep I think pressie wrapping has to be done when they are at school. DS1 came down again just before 9pm. But he could not remember what he wanted

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 05/12/2006 21:20

Well if he does then i can't se people moaning at me. I din't say he had to get it and DS's don't drink milk with him afaik. Its only DD's that i really needed it for.
I think he will be ok. He perked up a lot this evening and even made a xmas card for Nanna etc to post to Turkey.
It was so hard seeing him crying for food as if he had been starved for days. I just kept saying not yet and explaining why not. Its the 1st bug he has had since starting school so poor thing has no idea how things work around sickness.

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 05/12/2006 21:22

Thanks for hugs for him Q nd HN.
Q I was actually crying washing his school clothes out. Feeling so panicky that DD's will get it. I can cope with the sick if its in a bowl but i think its the not knowing how to deal with it that makes me more nervous.
I was sick so much when pregnant that i am used to it! lol!

HazelnutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 05/12/2006 21:31

yeah it is hard to know whats best to do when they are sick from a bug. You don't want to feed it so they keep being sick, yet you don't want to see them crying b/c they want something to eat.

His tummy could have been telling him not to eat, but he sees it as being hungry. HNtree gave us pain biscuits after so long without being sick. Just so we had a little something in are tums. I cant remember being sick after eating biscuits. maybe if he wakes up in the night hungry, just give him a biscuits or 2 and tell if they stay down then he can have breakfast in the morning.
