Oh is it the wooden shelf that holds boxes? If it is,DS's have that in there room but i'm going to get rid of it soon as it takes up too much room and there toys are mainly too big for the boxes now.
Maybe it will sell on Ebay!

Been sat here nearly all day trying to do Mums letter. Think i have made a good start. DD's are enjoying a TV day. We are all still in PJs! Ive never left them in PJs all day before.

They should do.
Had to buy our boxes separately but they are cheap and flimsy. Most have broken!

satinshoes · 03/12/2006 17:02

wow! 9 boxes

HazelnutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 03/12/2006 18:47

Hi all. We habve had an ok day today. Started very early as DS1 was a wake at 5:35. I let him stay in with me so he would not wake DS2 and DD up, but that was not good enough for DS1, as I falling back to sleep, he went and woke DS2 and DD up so they too could come in my bed. We all got up at 7am.

The strong wind last night blown over our fence and that has broken some xmas lights I had going along the fence

We made cookies this morning. The this afternoon we made cakes, snowflakes and some salt dough (xmas trees, angels santa`s) we just have to paint them now. this afternoon.

Dinner cooked, eaten and kitchen cleaned and DW is working. Dc bathed and ready for bed.

satinshoes poor you with the fleas. I know when we had them here before we moved in, we had to hoover all the carpets before xp2 set off some smokey thingys. The hoovering woke up the fleas so the smokey thingy worked better. Fleas go right down into bottom of the carpets and then the killers dont get to them. If I remember right, they can stay down in the carpets for weeks without moving.

Ruby you have got a busy week next week. I hope it all goes well.

I would not be able to fit in the toys box shelf thingy. All the rooms are just to small in this house.

luda How did you cake making go?

tortoise lol @ still being in PJs. Wish I could do that here. DS1 would just keep on about getting dressed if we did that here. He does not if we are not dressed after eating breakfast.
Oh and I did start the choc when I was in bed lastnight. The bar was finished this afternoon.

Dc to bed soon, then its the start of another week, getting bits ready for school etc. Knowing we have to get up in the mornings. I dont like having to get up

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 03/12/2006 19:01

HN poor you having such an early start.
DD's didn't wake until 8.40 .
I have to be up earlier tomorrow to catch train.I have benifits review appointment!

HazelnutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 03/12/2006 19:30

Lucky you tortoise !!

I am lucky if I can stay in bed until that time in the morning. the only time that ever happens, if I let them have their milk in my bed (coffee for me ) and biscuits, then I end up with a bed full of crumbs. If its chocolate ones then the bed is covered in chocolate.

Ds1 has just told me that he needs a pair of white jeans for school tomorrow!

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 03/12/2006 19:33

Oh great! How are you suppose to manage that!
Would black ones soaked in bleach work by tomorrow? Doubt it!

HazelnutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 03/12/2006 19:48

Don't know tort. The bleach might make them fall apart, don't think it would work by tomorrow anyway. I have some cream color trackies but he said they have to be white jeans.!! I have told him that I will phone the school tomorrow. I will have to see if I can find any in the charity shop tomorrow. HNtree said she will look tomorrow if he really has to have white jeans. He said there are 10 of them who need white jeans for tomorrow, it will be interesting to see who has managed to get/have a pair.

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 03/12/2006 19:50

Might be for play.If it is then he probably won't need them for a few days. Well hopefully anyway!

ParanoidAndroid · 03/12/2006 19:56

Hello all - just back from a child-free weekend in Brighton - woo hoo!

It was lovely, did some Christmas shopping, and ate and drank lots, and didn't sleep particularly well if you know what I mean !!!

It was lovely to come back to a clean house today, although the cleanliness lasted about 15 mins once the kids had come in, and the dogs got back from kennels.

The dining room is nigh on unusable as it's full of stuff for the tombola which I've got to label up before the fair on Thursday. But all the beds were nicely made, and the sitting room looked lovely for a short while!!

I haven't caught up on the threads yet, so I will hope you are all well, and catch you tomorrow.

ParanoidAndroid · 03/12/2006 19:57

HN - what about judo trousers? I've got some you can borrow if you want - I've a pair which fit DS aged 10, and DS (8) has a pair also.

Let me know if you'd like them and I'll post them to you tomorrow.

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 03/12/2006 19:58

ParanoidAndroid You lucky thing.!

HazelnutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 03/12/2006 20:02

Yes its for the play. a week friday so nearly two weeks to find some. I dont know why he needs them for tomorrow. You would think they would give out a little note or get them to write a little note asking for what they need and when they need it for. Littuns dont remember things that well this time of year.

ParanoidAndroid. Lucky you!!, and to have a kid free weekend as well.

Glad you had a good time though. Back to the land of the real living now though. lol

HazelnutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 03/12/2006 20:05

ParanoidAndroid. He said they have to be jeans. I wont know until tomorrow then I give the school a call. + my DS is only6, well nearly 7 but he is small for his age. DS2 is nearly as tall as DS1 is and he is only coming up to 6.

Thanks for the offer anyway

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 03/12/2006 20:56

HN Looks like we have the same tree lights from Tesco! Just seen your link on lights thread!

HazelnutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 03/12/2006 21:27

I got mine last year tort. I wish I had the bigger set at times but then I rethink and think the 120 set are just right for my tree. I might get the bigger set if they go down in price and then put them on a tree outside next year.

I find them great as they are not too bright

Have you seen their cheap sets of fairy lights. (value ones) they are really rich in color. Just a bit to bright for in to have to look at all the time in the lounge but would be great for in the windows.

HazelnutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 03/12/2006 21:30

BTW the other half of my choc bar has now gone

IvortheEngine · 03/12/2006 21:36

Hello all. Just popped on MN for half an hour and time is up. I've been doing lots and lots today which is very good. I just want to wrap some stocking fillers before bed. I need to get lots of presents organised and bought by the w/e to save us having to post them. Hey, ho!

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 03/12/2006 21:37

I bought mine last year too.And a new tree! Think i have the 120 set.
I don't mind bight lights as long as they are not in my face! The big star is bright but as its behind me its ok!

HazelnutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 03/12/2006 22:07

My tree is doing its 3rd year. I only had 4 colored lights on it before but they kept on having bulbs blowing. nearly every day we were puting new bulbs in.

Ivor. Well done on doing loads today. I suppose I have done a lot really.

Well I`m off to bed now, ready for another day tomorrow. I hope to sleep better tonight as its not so windy tonight.

Hope you benefits thingy goes ok for you tort.

NN all, see you tomorrow
