luda. I will be ok as I don't get that dirty. Its going to be the DC. Theres is going to be NO outside play until the WM comes. Need to stop them eating too so their clothes clean for 2 days.

I suppose only eating every 2 days will save me money too

No I better feed them, they will make even more noise and mayhem if I don't. lol

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 24/11/2006 11:16

Its barcarb on the mattress isn't it? How long does it have to be left on for?

HazelnutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 24/11/2006 11:20

Its a bit far to take the washing to HNtree Ruby.

I will be ok for shirts for DSs. its there trousers. They both seem to get mud on them and I only have 2 pairs each. I managed to dry the mud last night and then brushed it off, and then wipe them over with a damp cloth. I am just hopping that DS2 does not come home like he was the other week and covered in mud.

Oh well, six days and counting

HazelnutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 24/11/2006 11:21

Yes it is tort.

As long as you can leave it on there for. at least a hr or so.

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 24/11/2006 11:22

You will have to hend wash them HN. Give them a really good squeeze out.Hang on line for a blow if possible then TD/Put on heaters!

redheadmum · 24/11/2006 11:47

ok so I've got a shiny sink!!!!!

I get the bit about drying it to keep it shiny. In her instructions she says you'll never have to do the bleach thing etc again, but then of course you have to maintain the cleanliness....so do you just keep topping up with bicarb and window cleaner or wot?

I'm not even going to think how scary it is that I have to ask....

ps have discovered housework to be great in awkward situations.....we have an extension that has taken SIX MONTHS SO FAR....the builders turned up and I was able to scrub away at my sink whilst righteously ignoring them. Must use this as a ploy with dH heh heh

HazelnutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 24/11/2006 11:52

Yes I will have to do some by hand. Just hope they don't get too dirty/covered in mud as that is hard to wash out innit? I think the washing by hand is ok, its the rinsing thats the hardest part to hand washing.

I had to rinse DS2 clothes again when he got them covered in mud before and that was using the WM then

DD is a wake now so I better get on and do some FLYing. I cant believe the time has gone so fast on here this morning. Lunch time soon. I am going to leave early to get DSs from school as I have lots of bits that need doing. post office, bread and milk etc for the weekend so I don't have to go out over the weekend. The weather does not sound to good for the weekend either.

See you all later. I hope it does not rain this afternoon. I don`t have any washing liquid so I wont be able to wash our clothes as we walk home. lol

IvortheEngine · 24/11/2006 13:10

luda I read your post and thought "Oh, no, what did I say?" Then I remembered that I offered to help with Welsh stuff and that's okay 'cos I'd just be asking dh, ds and dd and posting their answers.

Dd was just telling me about a stupid pheasant she saw yesterday. She was in a friend's car and a pheasant started to cross the road. It got past their side of the road before they reached that point, then turned around and walked back right into the path of the car! She and her friend winced ready for the bump but it managed to fly up and away before coming a cropper. Oh, life in Wales is exciting sometimes!

luda I've just thought. You're very likely to get the children on the Planed Plant programme when it's their birthday if you send a photo in. I think mine got on each time I sent one. Dd was just telling me that it's changed since the days when they were little. Apparently their pictures get put on balloons and into cartoons now, but it's still good. Give me a shout when there is a child's birthday coming up in your house if you'd like them to be on the S4C programme.

I'd better go now without saying a proper hello to all as lunch is almost ready. Ds is making it. He's 13.

Quootiepie · 24/11/2006 13:14

RIGHT - I am started baby steps again because I have really gone off the FLYing wagon. Redhead - you starting today aswell? I seem to have lost all my motivation - I blame DH, hes got time off work and I dont seem toget anything done when he's here!

Quootiepie · 24/11/2006 13:15

*starting

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 24/11/2006 13:17

Q - glad im not the only one who fell off the wagon!

It is something to do with DH's being home.... I get lazy!!!

Quootiepie · 24/11/2006 13:18

cor, 1st time round I couldnt wait to clean my sink! I really cant be arsed this time. DS is crawling round, eating everything, so will have to wait until DH is back to look after him while I shine that sink!!!

Quootiepie · 24/11/2006 13:19

JARM - you cant have fallen off - your lists of things you've done is always HUGE!

ParanoidAndroid · 24/11/2006 13:20

QP - you and me both! Shall we start with the baby steps from today? I could do with some company on my return to flying!!!

I'm feeling a bit better again today - managed to get dressed, put a load in the machine, and then sat down again! But hopefully I'll be ready to boogy at the weekend

Ruby - I'd never put you down as a Vicki Pollard type. Although perhaps if you wore those leopard print shoes with your tracksuit......

HN - I feel for you re the WM. We got our new one yesterday thank goodness. I can't tell you what the pile of washing was like. Pile doesn't really do it justice. More like mountain. But the first load is in, and I might just have caught up with it by Christmas...

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 24/11/2006 13:22

I am great when DH is at work, i feel really motivated, but as soon as he has time off, i turn into little miss lazy and think "ill do it tomorrow"

Back on track monday morning.

Quootiepie · 24/11/2006 13:24

lol, I have about 5 baskets lined up in my hallway of washing I gathered up. Some was clean, but long forgotten in a linen basket and smells musty now, so I have to re-do it! I think ill do baby steps, and try & do daily mission and a load a day aswell... I think thats what I was doing before (aswell as all the "normal" tidying)

Ok. I've showered and dressed. The beds have been stripped and the sheets washed and are now in the tumbler. We've had lunch and I'm about to wash up. I am getting there, slowly.

Quootiepie · 24/11/2006 14:19

Just had breakfast 2 bananas. When I was FLYing, I used to get up, shower, clean bathroom, change DS and have breakfast all before 8... Everything takes 10 times as long now

IvortheEngine · 24/11/2006 15:05

I understand what you mean QP. It's the same for me on the days when I'm working and the days when I'm not. I'm not getting much done today as I have both ds and dd at home and between their social lives and help with projects etc, I feel like very little is really being achieved.

ludalightsandlanterns · 24/11/2006 16:23

My car is now getting expensive!! £300 for one bit!
This bit isn't arriving til monday either!

Dh has been using the courtesy car as his car needed new tyres...garage needed their car back..dh had to get new tyres

I have been given a green estate car to be getting on with...I have to go do shopping and all sorts...the man at the garage must of thought it was in his best interest to supply another car!

I tell you..between mine and dh car it is going to cost us a small friggin fortune!!!
I'm just very relieved we have pretty much got christmas sorted...otherwise I would be completely stuck!!

I feel for you HN with your washing machine stress.. Bloody hate costly things that you have NO choice but to fork out for!!!!

Ivor...birthdays are August and September, so all just gone...but good idea for next year

Redheadmum...Well done on the shiny sink front...
(I find I madly do the house when I'm having a strop...banging pots and pans about! )

ludalightsandlanterns · 24/11/2006 16:42

p.s...Ivor how was your lunch?????
