Hi everyone, Cant believe its lunchtime and no-one's started a thread yet? All too busy cleaning? lol. i doubt it.

Not sure I can be bothered with kelly's mission of clearing out all accessories. One of my weaknesses so it would take ages....

Hope you're all ok.

AHHHH at last....I've been lurking about cause I can't do links..

Hi satinshoes

I don't have ANY jewelery whatsoever!!! apart from some necklaces and rings which I can't chuck...as they are very special/expensive.

I will sort out my knicker drawer instead...I think there are a few pairs of things that need chucking.

IvortheEngine · 23/11/2006 12:28

I checked to see if there was a thread and thought I'd better not do one as I rarely go on the Flylady website so wouldn't be familiar with what to do. So....ds and I took the dog out for a walk on the beach instead! Now back and about to have lunch and get out of these sandy things.

satinshoes · 23/11/2006 12:30

well i was out all morning swimming and library. Now we are all lunched so i just have to clear up.

2nd load of washing in, need to pick up a few toys from the living room and dust in the dining room but things arent looking too bad.

ludalightsandlanterns · 23/11/2006 12:38

BBRRRRRR Ivor!!! It is freezing!! well done you for braving the beach!!
It is also raining now...horrid weather!

I'm going to make some mince pies I think...I need to perfect my pastry as I'm making mince pies for my dad for xmas (amoungst other things)

I also need to do washing...it is slowly creeping out the laundry basket...and I might also give the bathroom a quick once over...dh had a shave this am..and he never swills the bits away properly... tsk

Jelley · 23/11/2006 13:10

Hi, I've been out too, got back and thought you'd all given up.
Had lunch and came back to start the thread, and here you are.

I'm skipping the mission, too. I don't have much, but what I do have is mixed in with kids hair stuff, and I can't face it today.

I've got washing on the line today, as its quite breezy here, so second load in the machine. I need to mop floor, then maybe start stripping wallpaper in the kitchen.

fannyannie · 23/11/2006 13:12

it's funny this mission should come up today - when I was blitzing the bedroom the other day I came across LOADS of my old 'jewlery' (if you can call it that LOL) - lots of plastic tat thought then I should sort it out the boxes and get rid of most of it - might bung it on ebay as a couple of small lots and see if I can get a few pence for them

IvortheEngine · 23/11/2006 13:17

luda Yes, it was pretty blowy! I love mince pies, shame you don't live closer!

It has stopped raining now so the clothes on the line are drying again. Another load is in the machine and the dw is on. I'm going to do lots of little jobs today I think, plus sorting out the stuff in the spare bedroom. Ds is going to help me and I'll pay him. Fair play, he puts most of his money in his account. I hope he doesn't blow it all on wine, women and skittles when he's older.

I also have very little by way of jewellry. I keep dropping hints to dh and he keeps ignoring them! Grrrr.

Hi Ruby. This is my last post on MN for a bit as I am going to do stuff now.

Can you come and do my Christmas shopping for me? I've only got a few bits so far.

I'm glad you don't have to sort out the carpet. Ewww!

As you're obviously good at it, I may post descriptions of who I need to buy for and a price range and ask you to come up with ideas!

IvortheEngine · 23/11/2006 15:47

Help. Am losing momentum. I should probably start on ironing now. Or changing the beds; though may leave that until Sat as it's due to rain every day until Sun. Yes, perhaps ironing is the lesser of all the evils. Though what's for tea? Oh.....no. I don't know. Dh isn't here for tea tonight so it could be something ridiculously simple again. Last night he was away so we had fish fingers, mash and baked beans. I think I need someone to organise me!

Quootiepie · 23/11/2006 15:51

im really going backwards with this FLYing - I think im going to take a break, then start baby steps again. I used to have a routine going, but ive lost it all now!

I'm back again. Have bought stuff for tea. I'm now going to do the ironing. And if anyone is wondering why I'm posting such boring stuff, it's because if I don't say that I'm going to do it then I don't. It works too as last night I asked to be nagged to go to bed if I was here after 10pm and I switched off the PC at 10.01pm. The last time dh was away, I stayed up until 1.30am. Tut, tut.

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 23/11/2006 16:29

Lol Ruby!

ludalightsandlanterns · 23/11/2006 16:36

hi all.....well i've made my mince pies...would of been very good but they are a bit overdone! Never mind...I quite like them crunchy!

I have no idea what to get for tea either...dh is also going to be working late so I think it might be something like fishcakes...he wouldn't eat them but the kids will

Well other than that I have done a couple of loads of washing, hoovered, dusted upstairs, wiped the bathroom over...de-haired the sink (dh shaving remains.....eewww)
And cleaned the kitchen.

I'm going to have a quick whip around upstairs then thats me done for today....

See you all in a bit

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 23/11/2006 16:38

Oooh I love mince pies. Must get round to making mine to.I'm the only one in the house that eats them so lots all for me!
(I use my mums orange pastry recipe,Yummy!)

ludalightsandlanterns · 23/11/2006 16:40

Ruby...you can do my shopping for me!!!! I live too out in the sticks so I can't do online shopping..and I really would if I could believe me!!!!!!!

ludalightsandlanterns · 23/11/2006 16:42

oooh I have an orange pastry recipe somewhere too tort...I have never really fancied the thought though...is it quite sour????

satinshoes · 23/11/2006 16:49

hi all,

found a bug in DDs hair earlier. I'm sure it's not nits and i think its cos she was playing in some bushes earlier. Little flies and things probably like the warm house rather than cold outside.

But.... amazing what paranoia about fleas can do. I have de-flead the cat, stripped all the beds, hoovered the beds and the whole house. All bedding is in the process of being hot-washed or tumble dried.

Anything else I should do?

OP posts:
IvortheEngine · 23/11/2006 17:05

That's decided then. Ruby is at our beck and call for all our Christmas shopping queries.

I can confirm that luda does indeed live far away from what we laughingly refer to as shops in our nearest town. No Next. No M&S. No Asda, Tesco etc only Somerfield (some very nice red wine was on offer there on Sat, luda) and Morrisons.

satinshoes I don't think that buggy things will come within a mile of you if your reputation as a very thorough de-bug person spreads. I think you've covered everything!
