Morning all...

Right, after I lapsed for a few weeks (we were all ill, and I really really could not be bothered ) I am now back with a vengeance

Nothing under the bed except for a bed base support which dh still needs to fit to our bed (a wooden pole underneath the slats to stop slats sagging)and the dogs bed (he sleeps under there at night)

Will sweep under there though, I think it needs it...

The whole house needs a dust, wipe and vac so will do that today.

Then I will try to do something with our bedroom. It becomes our Christmas hq this time of the year, where presents are stashed, so it is very very cluttered....aaargh

ludalightsandlanterns · 20/11/2006 09:38

morning FLYbabes...hi peegee..glad your back!

I think my bed needs some serious moving out to get under it with the vac....there are suit cases and an old cat bed under there..thats just the bits I know of! I will get to it!

As for the rest of the house! God..it all needs some attention...
I managed to sneak some decorations up at the weekend, we made paper chains with the kids so of course they had to go up!...wouldn't want to get them all crumpled and broken now would we!

satinshoes · 20/11/2006 10:23

morning,
I'm just not keeping up at the moment
Beds are changed and first load of washing done, but nowhere to dry it as it is chucking it down.
Downstairs is totally trashed as it was a mess this morning then I couldn't find my keys to do the school run and made more mess hunting. Found them and got to school almost 1/2 hour late.

I'm going to clean upin the kitchen and have a cup of tea first, so at least one room is ok.

satinshoes · 20/11/2006 10:56

Jelley - whenever it gets on top of me I do the kitchen. If at least one room is tidy it will help inspire you to do the rest

I have whizzed aroundas DD is out. In 30 mins I've hoovered upstairs, tidied and dusted DDs room and master bedroom

ludalightsandlanterns · 20/11/2006 11:12

hmmm...realised I can't actually do the mission...I emptied the landing cupboard out to put all the christmas stuff...boxes and all sorts under there...so I might aswell wait until after xmas..when everything can go back
(or does that sound like a rather lame excuse!)

I have to hoover pretty much every room in the house today! It all looks a bit neglected!
I'm with you Jelley..just don't know where to start!

Right...well off to pick ds up then will get the kitchen clean (I hope this inspires me!) thanks for the tip Satinshoes!!

I also have to get petrol

Back later xxx

Jelley · 20/11/2006 12:03

luda. I want to clear under my bed so I can start to store presents there. I haven't really got much this year, but what I have is in my wardrobe. Not a good hiding place now the dds are bigger.

I've washed up, put wet washing on the airer, put another load in the machine, and hand washed the two things that I keep putting back in the basket every day.
I'm going to do a quick rescue in the bathroom now.

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 20/11/2006 12:45

Easy mission for me! My bed is almost flat on the floor so no storage space under there!
Chrismas presents get hidden in my loft! No chance of nosey DC looking then. Got a few bits up there but need to get quite a few more bits.Especially the stocking fillers.
Kitchen is tidy just need to clean floor.Front room, apart from toys on the floor, is ok.
Need to do some washing and hope fully drying if i have enough electric!

satinshoes · 20/11/2006 12:55

Hi all,

collected DD from pre-school. She weed 2 x again - eek. Dont know why as she has NO accidents at home. They have told me not to worry as she has only been there a couple of weeks, is only 2.8/9 and is enjoying herself lots. But i'm really stressed about it. Is that silly? should i be rational and take it in my stride or be cross mummy with her?

On a FLYing note had a good morning but now going to have a cuppa after my lunch and chill in front of tv with DD...

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 20/11/2006 13:08

satin I wouldn't worry about it. Does she understand who to goto if she needs the loo? It was one thing i always kept on to mine about when going to pre-school.
I would just tell her its ok but try to remember next time to ask xx or xx (whoever they need to ask at pre-school)when you need the loo.

satinshoes · 20/11/2006 13:33

Thanks Tort. She knows who to ask but i think they arent as quick at taking her as i would be which is part of the problem. Guess i just have to hope she gets used to it and it stops on its own...

Afternoon all. I am doing DDs bedroom this week as mine is ok. I have moved Dds cot and hoovered all the dust and fluff from under it., Hoovered the rest of her bedroom too. The window needs sorting as its full of books etc. I need a bookshelf in her room.

Lounge has toys all over the floor but DD is happy playing so thats ok as I can get on with FLYing.

peegeeweegee...... Good to see you are back

Jelly..... I always try and keep on top of my kitchen if I can. The rest of the house is only dust or toys etc. The kitchen need to be clean as that where all the food is and that is what keeps us living.

Satin..... Dont be cross with her. I think tortoise is right, she does not know who to ask to go with her to the loo. When we wets herself they then go to her. I would talk to the helper there and ask them to keep asking her if she needs to go and/or to tell her if she needs to go to tell them. You then can back this up at home like tort said. My DD will might have the same problem when she starts pre-school as she will only have me to ask when she needs the loo here. We have tried not wearing nappies in the day but she was not ready. I am now going to try after Christmas. (unless she wants to try before then)

tortoise..... Have you got any more decs up yet?

I have just seen the time. I better go and get DSs from school soon. Its been a few weeks now since I have walked to school. I better leave a bit earlier today and make sure I get to school on time. Whos clever idea was it to stop the bus from bring them home. lol

Catch you all later.

HazelnutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 20/11/2006 14:14

oops I forgot to say that you have been busy Ruby. You must be in need of a cuppa now.

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 20/11/2006 14:33

No more up yet HN.Ive lost the festive spirit!

Wow ruby you have been busy. Ive just emptied DW and put TD on. Not done much else.

Quootiepie · 20/11/2006 14:36

Afternoon! Ill read the thread before it gets like 60 odd posts We dont have an under the bed, but DH and I are clearing out wardrobes when he gets back

ParanoidAndroid · 20/11/2006 14:51

Afternoon girls. Have not flown for ooh at least a week now as have inner ear infection at mo. Lots of lying down with the bed spinning round (and I've had nothing to drink) and to cap it all, the bl**dy depression is back with a vengeance. Ah, life's great sometimes isn't it.

I'm managing to sit up today (hence sitting at the pc) although quite wobbly, and very tearful. I have swished & swiped one bathroom but that's it

I'll try and do something else to make myself feel better. And it's DS' birthday tomorrow so need to bake cake, wrap presents, look cheerful etc.

Sorry for the moan, and hope you are all ok. Did many of you go to the meet up?

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 20/11/2006 15:11

That sounds pretty awful ParanoidAndroid. Its not surprising you feel depressed with being stuck in bed. Hope you feel better soon.
I feel down again today.I think its the lack of money and thinking of things needed for xmas.

Quootiepie · 20/11/2006 15:13

((hugs)) for you two... I hate it when I get down, takes forever to pick myself back up. PA, youve done far more than me already today

peegeeweegee · 20/11/2006 16:18

hello again all..

Well, I am to say that it is now gone 4 and all I have done is one load of laundry, one load of washing up, one trip to doctors with dd's poorly finger, and one bar of chocolate eaten...

I think it will take me a while to get into the swing of things...

Just feeling sooo incredibly tired, don't know what the matter is.... just cna't get going..

satinshoes · 20/11/2006 16:26

higs for paranoidandroid and peegeeweegee.....just do one thing today and then two tomorrow. and have lots of rest!

OP posts:
ludalightsandlanterns · 20/11/2006 16:35

Hi all...

paronoidandroid...sorry to hear you are not well..hope you feel better soon {{HUGS}}

peegee...don't worry...I have days when nothing gets done...just take it a bit at a time!

satinshoes...my DD! was the same...I think it was a combination of being to shy/busy to ask before it was a bit too late, she did get the hang of it though

Hi HN...I have a few decorations up...I'm doing it very slowly in the hope dh doesn't really notice!?
He hasn't really objected yet!

I have tidied upstairs up...done my kitchen..and several loads of washing...

Got sidetracked by dh who needed me to go to the bank...then had to pick dd1 up from school and take her to an after school club....

ds is very put out.. not old enough to join in

right well better do some more...put tea on before dh and dd1 get home

bye bye

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 20/11/2006 17:14
