kellys mission

ok - was going to attack my bathroom today (meant to do it all last week ).

Should I abandon that - and carry on with todays mission (underneath my bed is 'clear' but looks like someone dumped a lorry load of dust under there or do my bathroom as planned?

So far today I've done all my washing, and got it dry - now got 4 loads (3 that I dried yesterday) of ironing to do (did 5 loads worth of ironing yesterday ).

I've made DS1's bed (he still wets every night so clean bedding required).

Been to Morrisons

About to cook dinner and then bath the DS's.

But do I do that bed or the bathroom??

ludalightsandlanterns · 20/11/2006 17:23

Thank you tortoise ...I needed to get with it this week...seem to of slacked a bit last week!

Put tea in...cottage pie and chips..not very adventurous but well!

Have lit the fire..and put the clothes around the radiators to dry...nice smell...but steamy windows!!!

Hi Fannyannie..
how about do under the bed...then just quickly wipe around the bathroom...and then do a more thorough job when you have more time?

satinshoes · 20/11/2006 17:28

hi fannyannie. agree with luda. do under the bed and then a quick swish & swipe of the bathroom

OP posts:
fannyannie · 20/11/2006 17:29

thing is my bathroom is big - and has tiles on 2 walls - floor to ceiling - so a quick wipe round isn't really possible.

It's not wonderful the bathroom - but unless you look in the corners and actually stick your head round the back of the loo, or pull the linen box (it's a big wicker chest thing) out - you can't see the dirt that obviously.

I've washed the shower curtain, bath mat and non-stick mat today - so at least that's been done.

Perhaps I should just stick to the bedroom and do under the bed - and then attack the bathroom when it comes round again next time??

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 20/11/2006 17:29

I would say the bedroom because in a few weeks time we will be back to the bathroom zone anyway!

Jelley · 20/11/2006 17:33

Hello,
tried to agree with bathroom/bed advice, but ds just deleted my whole message.

Downstairs is good. Mission still not done though.

I went to the meet up too

Everyone is lovely (of course)
I don't really know why but I was expecting everyone except me to know each other in rl, and to be really confident.

They didn't, and weren't (til everyone relaxed a bit later on...)
Q stayed later than me, and probably has loads of gossip.

HazelnutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 20/11/2006 17:41

ParanoidAndroid.... I hope you feel better soon. (((((HUGS))))

tortoise.... try not to worry to much about Christmas and money, you can only do what you can and spend what money you have. I over spent on DD`s birthday Pressies only for DC and HNtree this year. Then it wont be much. Try and make Christmas fun for your DC. Christmas is all about DC having fun.
Do you get help with the cost for looking after your DSs? If you don't then you are trying to do for 5 on money for 3 and look after a home too.
I would be heaps better off but still trying to pay the bank back for all the money that xp1 spent in my name we also own money to other people too that he borrowed from using my name. I was stupid thinking he would pay it back and having it all in my name. now its down to just me to pay it back as its in my name. I cant prove that he used the money. It went on him going to the pub(used our money to live on, the money borrowed was used to get food and pay bills) I hope to be better off next year.

peegeeweegee... you have done well as you are not feeling to great at mo. MMM the eating a bar of chocolate sound a great job, I can even do that 1 if I had some chocolate in the house.

luda.. you have been busy, well done!

I got DSs from school, my legs ache a bit now. It was great to get out of the house though. Very cold out. DD was the warmest all snuggled in her buggy.

Dc eating dinner at mo. I am not hungry yet so I will have mine later.

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 20/11/2006 17:46

HN I get no money for the DS's.I provide 7 meals a week for them(mixture of breakfasts lunches and dinners) with the mony i get for me and th girls.SW did ask xp1 to contribute some money because he gets CB and CTC for the boys but he refused!!
I had a letter today from SW. She is not backing my xmas day request.

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 20/11/2006 17:47

Oh sorry to anyone who doesn't like the xmas word! Christmas is too long to type one handed!

ludalightsandlanterns · 20/11/2006 17:50

HN...hello...thanks

Tortoise...I use xmas quite a lot too...I'm usually typing with a child or a cat on my knee!!!

HazelnutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 20/11/2006 18:08

Hi fannyannie, I would do the bedroom, It was bathroom last week, so it will be around again in 3 weeks time Least if you do the bedroom, then you will be with the rest of us then.

Tortoise.. That does not sound great from xp1, does he not care about his own DSs having things to eat from you. You are saving him money when you have them, and thats money which he gets to use for them, so it should be given to you to look after them and to feed them too surly. Not to line his pockets. Your SW sounds a right bitch. whats the differce to having them Christmas eve day to Christmas day when it comes to looking after them. Whats does she think is so great about xp1? yet he did not want to give you money to look after his own DC after she asked him to! Why is she making his life so easy and your and DSs hard. I have always been told its the DC they need to think about, yet your SW seems to think about your xp1 and not what your DSs want! I bet they want to be with you at Christmas and on Christmas day.
I have got to bath DC now, but if you wanna talk on MSN later then I will be here. I have not seen my new SW much, so I dont know what she is like. but my old ones have been Grrrrrrrrr! so I know how you sort of feel about them. We should get together and tell them to think about real life and not make believe. They seem to be blind to real life. Grrrrrrrrrr

P.S I have my spell check change Xmas to Christmas

HazelnutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 20/11/2006 18:26

hiay luda

I just had to clean up after DD. She took her clothes and nappy off when I was typing my last post. (bath time) She had a little accident (wee) and BIG accident with the number 2s. little blobs from the kitchen to the bathroom DSs just watch her doing it and never said a word.

I am so glad the bathroom is down stairs and not up stairs

right the bath is ready now, so see you all in a bit.

ParanoidAndroid · 20/11/2006 18:35

Thanks all. Yes Ruby, I'm getting treatment. It's not a new thing unfortunately, and am on some nice pharmaceutical horse pills which generally keep me going. Have done all the talking therapy stuff till I've even bored myself never mind the poor therapists. Saw my CPN this morning who is positively an angel, and she couldn't suggest much more than upping the dosage which I'm reluctant to do. But I'll go and see my psych to get his viewpoint.

Am off to bed (again) now and will try and do two things tomorrow! I've just rung my parents in floods of tears (and I'm only 42!) to ask if they can come round tomorrow to help with some shopping, taking me to GP, and general tlc. I feel rotten asking as they've both got horrendous health issues of their own, but my DH - bless his cotton socks - can't handle much more so I'm leaning on them instead. Gotta spread it around!

Night all

fannyannie · 20/11/2006 18:36

right that's settled then - shall clean under the bed once the boys are sat eating there dinner

still got my ironing to do - don't think I'm going to get it all done - been playing catch up last few days - but at least ALL my washing is done (apart from what the DS's and DH and I have been wearing today) and even better it's DRY!!!

So some of the ironing I'll do in the next hour will be todays .

Should finish 'catching up' tomorrow then I'll be on track for that

HI Anyone still about,
Computer has had a virus and just got it sorted at last.It was completely frozen wouldn't even boot up but DP managed to fix it in the end.Just glad it didn't have to go to pc doc this time they charged a fortune last time and lost all our data.
{{Hugs}} to everyone who's feeling crap at the mo.Me and the girls are a bit under the weather, all have bad coughs and colds but seem better today than yesterday so can't complain.
I'm getting seriously panicky about christmas.Haven't bought a single thing yet and having a few money probs so know how some of you feel regarding this.

Didn't get a whole lot done today, just admin type stuff trying to get our finances in better shape etc.Car place rang me to say i'll have my car this week yipeee.Have to go in tomorrow to complete paper work and give them final payment.Am very excited but a bit nervous too as i haven't driven for a few years.Im getting my sis to come with me so i can get used to it without tots first ,don't want to put them in any danger!

Hope the meet up went well, dying to hear all about it.Ok best stop rambling on ,I suppose everyone's used to me doing it by now.
