I was gonna start a thread.... then couldnt be arsed.

tinshoes · 14/11/2006 08:43

Morning all.

I did yesterdays mission when I was cleaning the bathroom anyway so that's good for me.

Off out this morning and then midwife this afternoon so cant see me getting much done.

But, I have loaded d/w and w/m, dressed, breakfasted, s/s toilets & kitchen, and just cleaned ensuite sink. So not a bad start to the day.

Hope you all have a another good day. Lots of us seemed to get quite a bit done yesterday.

Ps Welcome Nikki

Hello. I've just had a quick read through of yesterday's thread. I'm not normally here on a Tues but dd is ill so I'm at home with her. She just needs to rest really so I'm going to do lots today starting now! I'll come back and list my accomplishments - if I have any!

tinshoes · 14/11/2006 08:50

Hope DD feels better soon Ivor

Perhaps we should all e mail flylady and see if any of us can achieve the glory of a personal reply!

peegeeweegee · 14/11/2006 09:30

Morning all - Q you do make me laugh...
How are you this morning??

Right, sad question, but what is the deal with cleaning with vinegar?? Have bought a bottle but am clueless as to waht to do with it??

Will it remove the limescale and make my sinks shine? Do I dilute it??

HELP!!!!!

pippah · 14/11/2006 09:46

Hello everyone, thanks for nice messages yesterday!
I had a nice evening in the end even though one of my friends had to cancel at the last minute. More food for me today then!!! Had a good nights sleep and feel much more rested today. Hubby did most of the washing up so I can chill today.

Was I hallucinating or did Kelly change the mission yesterday? When I started the thread yest morn, I looked and it was declutter the bathroom. WHen I looked later it was declutter the laundry room and clean the loo????!!!

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 14/11/2006 09:55

Morning girls

Appologies, but I am doing NOTHING today. Its ME day and therefore anything that involves cleaning is of the agenda! I will of course make my lunch and tea and tidy up after myself and put the dishwasher on later, but no more than that!

Will be back to join you on Thursday no-doubt when the children are back and causing mayhem!

IvortheEngine · 14/11/2006 10:41

Thanks tinshoes. She has just had some brekkie and is lying on the sofa watching tv and videos. My working week has been wrecked once again but that's how it goes.

Right. So far I've....hoovered a bit downstairs; done a load of washing; popped out to buy milk; showered and dressed and rang the school as I forgot to give the letter to ds to give to dd's teacher. Off to do more.

ludaloo (I hope I've got that right) - I know of two MNers in the area if the one I met a couple of years ago is still on MN, that is. I should get back in touch to see how she is.

ludaloo · 14/11/2006 10:56

Hi all....

Car Stress this am!!!!!
Bloody thing cut out on mr whilst in the middle of driving!!!!
Got it to start again but not a pleasant experience!!!!! Steering was lost and everything
Dh has now banned me from driving it and is going to get it booked in...
I have to walk to get ds in a mo...and its raining

Ivor... we went to the fair in Aber last night...very good..kids loved it...totally fleeced us though!!!!!!
I bought lots of crimbo stuff from the market.

Well...I have all day to FLY now...I was going to go in to town to bank a cheque but can't now...

see you all in a bit..must go get my ds

ludaloo · 14/11/2006 10:58

me.....cut out on me...not on mr!

IvortheEngine · 14/11/2006 11:02

ludaloo - You didn't see anyone walking around with a lovely border collie did you?

In my defence, I don't normally walk the dog around town but ds had footie practice nearby and I had an hour and a half to use up somehow. The dog was very well behaved for the 5 mins or so we spent walking through the fair.

The noise was very loud I thought ludaloo. That see saw in the air type ride had my tummy going just looking at it!

shazronnie · 14/11/2006 11:43

cleaning with vinegar ....

great for windows / glass - I use it for my shower screen - spray on neat then wipe off. Dry with scrunched newspaper for extra shine.

limescale - soak offending item in neat vinegar for an hour or two - rinse off. (I do this to my shower head.)

Can also be diluted in a spray bottle with some water and a couple of tsp of borax to make multi surface cleanser.

tinshoes · 14/11/2006 12:09

hi everyone.

pippa - i just checked and the mission had changed! how sneaky is that...

having a good day. just bought dd some new trainers with flashing lights which she's never had before so she's quite excited

lunching at the moment. not sure i can be bothered to fly but all i have to do today is clean the bath/loo/window in the ensuite so not too much...

ludaloo · 14/11/2006 12:23

Back and very wet

IVOR....I can't say I noticed I was too busy trying to keep on eye on my tiny's!
Was your ds playing footie down by the river??? We walked along the river and watched a gaggle of boys playing in the indoory footie bit..my ds loves watching them...
It was blinkin loud! I like it loud though...makes me feel young! and I have to avoid jigging to the beat like an embaressing mother!!!

Well better make some lunch dd2 just woken up....
Then must start on the bathroom.

tinshoes · 14/11/2006 12:57

well, we have both lunched. DD wont have a nap so is watching Christmas Simpsons on DVD
I've emptied the w/m and put them on the airer, and put the dry clothes ready to take up tonight.

Other than that, nothing doing. Going to try and reclaim the tv in time for neighbours later

ludaloo - car thing sounds a nightmare. hope it is fixed soon

HazelnutHazelnutsTree · 14/11/2006 13:13

Afternoon all.

Ivor Hope DD is feeling better soon (((Hugs))) for her.

Q You make me laugh too Hope you are feeling better today with what is going on in your life at mo.

I have had a shite morning. Its was ok until I went to Bath to go to the dentist. The Bus ride was freezing. I have never been so cold on a bus before. Then I got to the dentist only to find out that the dentist was ill and no-one to cover for him. I have got to go again tomorrow now. It was tomorrow or wait for 6 months. Then we got wet on the way home. Now we are home, its stopped rainning.

I am not going to do any real FLYing today, but we are going to have a baking afternoon. Cakes, cookies and a bread and butter pudding.

Tonights dinner is put down for chips+ baked beans + whatever from the freezer. But I feel like having chicken stew. So the meal planer is in for a change. I find the meal planer is good for shopping wise, but its not so good if you dont feel like eating the meals that you have planed to have. I have some chicken breasts as they were on a BOGOF. I must have got them knowning that I would want stew tonight

Hope everyone have a good afternoon.

BudaBeast · 14/11/2006 13:28

No flying today at all. Have done soem stuff on computer and some things at school (I organise a book fair at DS school every term - was supposed to be tomorrow but books hadn't arrived as of this morning so I have delayed till next week - of course books now here!).

Just booked flights to London for 1st weekend in Dec. I need cheering up and DS (5) is now at an age where he'll appreciate the Natural History Museam etc. Haven't been to London for about 4 years! So DH, DS and I will "do" London. And I'll get to do some shopping!!

IvortheEngine · 14/11/2006 13:53

That sounds great BudaBeast. We're planning to go to London sometime with the children.

Thanks HHTree. She has just had lunch and taken her horrible tasting medicine. And got dressed!

ludaloo sorry that you got wet this morning. I've looked up the weather forcast for this week and it's rain nonstop for the next 5 days. I've asked dd where the river is. I've not noticed it! (twp emoticon needed) No, ds wasn't there, he was training somewhere even I am able to find!
