IvortheEngine · 14/11/2006 15:45

ludaloo Oh yes, I know the ones you mean! They often take longer than the normal route!

I've done quite a bit today. I've only popped onto MN now and again for a few mins. Dd is now painting using potato shape thingys. The casserole is now in the oven. I've washed some clothes that I found in a couple of bags in my bedroom. They were clean but needed to be freshened up before going to a new home. Off to the post office now, I think.

Hi again. Bread and Butter pudding made and is in the oven. DD had fun mixing

DSs will be home soon. Then it should be ok to make some cookies and put them in the oven as the B+B pud goes out.

Buda I hope you have a great time in London when you go.

ludaloo I am on the mend now. I dont like this wet cold weather. It is supposed to be getting colder too
Hope you get your car sorted soon. XP2 Stopped the roads in part of London once b/c his van cutout in the middle of a busy junction. I cant remember what went wrong but it had to be moved by picking it up by the back wheels, and it could not be push or pulled off the junction.

shaz Well Done on your bathroom FLYing

squatchette DC seem to be able to untidy within minutes of tidying that takes ages to do.

DC back from school now, so its back to baking

tinshoes · 14/11/2006 16:11

Oh Ruby...I really know what you mean!!!! I am fed up with the blummin things too..
I had them last time round and so did my 15 month old poor lamb.
I'm really fed up...I have a feeling I know where they keep comming from...and they just don't deal with them properly..soooo annoying!

I have done tea...no sign of dh so I've snook back on here!...kids on cue have all finished now and wailing at me...

tsk tsk...no rest for the wicked!

tinshoes · 14/11/2006 17:27

eeewww. headlice. Should i be worried now DD has just started pre-school? What is the best thing to treat them so I can get some in just in case?

OP posts:
damewashalot · 14/11/2006 17:42

Just checking in to see how much better than me yu are all doing
Not flying as such but have found the top of a few things today by clearing stuff off them
Ivor how is dd?
Right, I am going to go and put away the many piles of clothes I have around the place.

ludaloo · 14/11/2006 17:42

well the advise is plenty of conditioner and keep combing....but this really isn't a good solution for small fidgety people.
I found that "Full Marks" was not very good...but I have used another solution that you leave in for just 10 minutes...(I get worried about the chemicals etc..so less time on the head the better)
Cannot now remember the name of it for the life of me!!!!!!!!

Have heard Hedrin is very good but not tried it yet

I also bought headlice repellant shampoo and conditioner from the supermarket..I do dd1 hair once or twice a week with that (but it stinks and she protests!!!)

Its the fact I spend a fortune on the lotions...dd1 gets so upset she has "bugs" in her hair...I'm forever washing bed linen and it can't be good for her all the chemicals I'm sure....it peed me off no end to find them in dd2 hair...the whole family has to be done each time which is a lot of money!! and I know that she is going to pick them up again!!!!!!!
What the diddly are you supposed to do!!!

The person who I think isn't getting rid of them properly...told me she just combs....I said..how do you get the eggs out...she said..oh I use ............................................................................wait for it......................PARAFIN

Oh I just want to grab her and shake her!!!!!!!!!

can you tell I have a secret nit issue!

BudaBeast · 14/11/2006 17:49

I'm here luda!!!! Use your on me all you like!!!

Well - DS comes home from school full of news of their assemply. Every Friday there is a primary school assembly and each week a diff class does a little show. His will be the Friday we are in London I think! Why oh why can't they give more notice. He is NOT happy. Have consoled him with promise of Legoland.

Am now scratching Ruby! Sympathies on the nits - bloody awful aren't they. Someone on here recommended Tea Tree Tingle shampoo - it's by Alberto Balsam - I bought in Tesco in summer - it's a cheapie. Seems to work (so far) at keeping them away.

Have done no flying still! So much for de-cluttering my house.

tinshoes · 14/11/2006 17:49

yuk yuk yuk. luda - you've convinced me - i'll get something in. Although tbh, DD HATES having her hairwashed and we only manage it about once a week at the moment . She's only 2.8 and wouldnt understand if something like this happened.

OP posts:
tinshoes · 14/11/2006 17:51

squatchette · 14/11/2006 18:32

Evening Flybabes,
Just sat down after a busy few hours.Went to the shops for all the bits i couldn't carry yesterday.Took girls to park so had to go Sainsburys with both of them (yesterday). As i only took single buggy, suction machine and was holding DD1's hand i only managed to get 1 basket full of shopping.I hate shopping when i have both of them with me, nightmare without the double pram.

DD1 always seems to run off at the till so i hold everyone up going after her.Ended up sitting her on end of conveyer belt just so i could pack. Can't wait till my bloody car comes they said up to 6 weeks and it's been 5 today so i'm hoping for next week.

I have blitzed the bedroom, done girls beds and polished.Girls sleep in my room still because eldest has machines at night and an oxygen monitor that alarms too regularly to keep getting out of bed all night.Luckily our bedroom is largest room in house . Tried to hoover but bag was full(and last one) so it wouldn't pick up,doubt i'll get into town till friday now either. Can't imagine how bad carpets will look by then!

Tea still not cooked gigantic joint of pork taking for ever so i've just given tots a sandwich .I'm now off to give them a bath,so will swish and swipe bathroom whilst i'm in there.Sorry for rambling post btw!
