Hello I thought I could safely start this thread as I don't need a link today do I?

HN...or her mum....I missed the conversation last night but I am thinking of you...hope you are out and well very soon xxx

I am going to pin dh down today and get him fix the printer on the comp as I want to print some recipes off and things..

I also want to tidy the garden up today..and maybe do some baking.

Hope you are all well anyway

Hi HN steptree!
Glad she is looking better and might be home tomorrow.
Bet the DGC enjoyed visiting her.

peegeeweegee · 05/11/2006 16:55

Hi guys!!

Wow, a productive day for some of you - was that enforced by the MN shut down??

Dd had a great time at her best friends party. Ds had a great time helping along with two other big brothers who had been allowed to help run the games and tidy up!!

Came home around 2 and spent 2 hours on my patio, have managed to finish the layout, now need to level it as and when required and bed the cobbles onto sand.

Roast beef is prepared and bubbeling away in the oven, I have had a lovely bath, and am having a relax with a cuppa.... aaah heaven...

The house is a tip, I will have to do loads of flying tomorrow...

Delgirl, are you back from reading the Flylady site yet??

Hazel, hope you are feeling better soon. Still thinking of you
xx

pps..... oh god why can't I get off this computer!!

Tinshoes....I know the big tired lump feeling...take it easy
(at least you know it won't be much longer)

tort...I think you deserve a sunday doing what you want...(thats how I've justified my day anyway )
Tomorrow is another mission so us busy mums need a bit of a breather

No bin bags! I used them all up on decorating the room for DS2's party! And my dead brain keeps forgetting to buy more.
I need a day on my own to pull out the cupboard again and list masses on Ebay. Trouble is i think so much keeps going unsold that i'm losing the will to even try!

squatchette · 05/11/2006 17:58

{{cyberslap}}for Tort hey don't worry that you're chilling out for a day you deserve it after the week you've had.
Ruby i may join you in the Xmas declutter i need to start somewhere as i've been planning to get rid of some old stuff and make room for the new.Hoping new car will be here in a week or 2 so no more excuses about going to charity shop/tip etc.
Soooo glad it is the kitchen zone i have just done it everything 'cept microwave as had no lemons so can do that this week. Also need to tackle Mount Washmore all done but in kitchen utility at moment in serious danger of avalanche.
Living room a bit of a bombsite still 20 mins should sort it once girls have settled down later on.Will give hallway 5 mins too so that downstairs is at least done.

squatchette · 05/11/2006 19:22

Just been to bonfire and fireworks display at allotments behind our house kids loved it ,and very local iyswim. They're so excited i'll never get them to sleep now.I gave the living room a tidy and hoover just after tea just need to polish now and voila it's sorted.

tortoisestrappedtoarocket · 05/11/2006 19:26

DD's didn't see any fireworks. I can't get to any displays. Didn't even see any out the window until now and they are asleep so they will miss them.
Glad you had a good time.

QuootiePieBANGERSandMash · 05/11/2006 19:28

My DS wont sleep... he always feeds to sleep but hes full to the brim and keeps biting and laughing... I dont know how to get him to sleep...

tortoisestrappedtoarocket · 05/11/2006 19:40

Oh dear Q!
Sounds like he is wide awake!
Will he go down or does he feed to sleep?
Cuddle him in bed?
I ended up using a dummy! DD2 eventually took it instead of feeding for hours!

QuootiePieBANGERSandMash · 05/11/2006 19:52

Tried a dummy [guilty emoticon] he wont have it. I gave him some water and now hes crawling around. Hes tired but refuses to go to bed!

tortoisestrappedtoarocket · 05/11/2006 19:54

Nothing to feel guilty about. Ive had two thumb suckers and two dummy suckers! They just love the comfort they get from sucking-Whatever they suck!
My floor is tidy and hoovered. Bath is run so will jump in that in a minute.

shazronnie · 05/11/2006 19:58

Hello Tortoise - got your card yesterday. I'm trying to fly but my wings keep dropping off!

tortoisestrappedtoarocket · 05/11/2006 19:59

Hi shaz.
Sorry it took so long to re-pay you!

tinshoes · 05/11/2006 20:01

how old is he Q? My DD used to feed to sleep until i get fed up with it and became tough mummy

managed to sort out all of DDs 12mths and under toys today and sorted them out for baby. V. pleased as it means i have some stuff that santa and DD and mummy and daddy can give it at xmas without having to buy anything....

night all.

QuootiePieBANGERSandMash · 05/11/2006 20:02

7 months... hes feeding and dozing on my lap now. Good job i went to the loo!

tinshoes · 05/11/2006 20:04

awww. i used to feed dd and she would drop off. then i would move her to her bed and just wriggle her a bit to sort of wake her up a bit, but not enough to wake her fully. she then got used to falling asleep on her own. not much use for tonight though ....just snuggle i reckon
