nowt wrong wiff abit of bling, Ruby

I was on the style threads the other day and was trying to say about wearing a simple silver necklace, with a diamond on it... and the person said "I dont think bling would go with it"... until I posted a pic! I think when people are young, you do get assosiated with....the chavs I do try and distance myself... I catagorically threw out all my tracksuit tops when I became a mum

im lucky in a way that people tend to think im older. Wont be so lucky when im older then though!

QuootiePieBANGERSandMash · 03/11/2006 14:14

sometimes I worry im trying to grow up too fast though... I wear unfashionable clothes in an attempt to look older, IFSWIM.... then when im older, ill probably try and look younger! Its hard to find a good balance.

  • remade our bed (told dp to strip it when he gets up; he used a nasty smelling creme for his neckpain and oh boy couldn't i sleep because of it! and he did it straight away ) - i even turned the matress over and hoovered it
tinshoes · 03/11/2006 16:22

Sorry Ruby. I only scanned and didn't read your post properly.
The omission of any reference to FLYin g in my post was because I haven't done any

Come to the Christmas do, and we'llc cheer you up

I have a house full of polly pocket, which is smaller than barbie, but the toys get smaller as the children get bigger, so there is hope (how old are yours?)

Ruby! You must be my twin! When's your birthday? A long lost twin, everybody! Must be. Clutter. Falling over stuff. Okay, we don't share the same taste in clothes but we're not expected to be 100% identical, are we?

Jelley · 03/11/2006 19:38

Definitely get more expensive, but be grateful you can hand things down. My dds are 7 and 6(the younger one believes that her sister occasionally gets to use things first, but they are hers really, so doesn't mind waiting.)
I've spoiled it by having ds now (8 months)who is going to want a whole different type of toy I guess.

I have a pile of banking paperwork cunningly disguised as a foot ret under my computer table

IvortheEngine · 03/11/2006 19:38

Sorry Jelley, I forgot to say thank you for the poem. It's great.

pippah · 03/11/2006 20:16

Well done to everyone who has been motivated today and done stuff. I am in with those who are ill/ demotivated. I did have a half hearted attempt at cleaning the fridge (why?). You can't tell that I have, though....

LOL at Jelley's foot rest of paperwork! I need to try and find something in my paperwork pile, so I will have to play that great game...paperwork Kerplunk...you know, pulling out random items of paper until the pile falls over and you swear lots.

QuootiePieBANGERSandMash · 03/11/2006 21:01

20 20 20 20 20 20 20 20 20 20 20 20 20 Ill be lamb dressed as mutton
