im sure i can manage that. I dont have a dining room so will concentrate on porch and front room for the rest of this week.

ludaloudbang · 01/11/2006 07:34

Oh this is an apt one...my porch is covered in pumpkins and streamers and little bits of a huge halloween party popper!!!!!

ludaloudbang · 01/11/2006 07:35

Oh and I have a rather sad looking hanging basket which needs taking down.

Jelley · 01/11/2006 07:45

Hi, I have no porch, but will start on the disaster area that we call a dining room

(I'm jasnem with a new name...)

BudaBeast · 01/11/2006 07:48

Don't have a porch!

Will do DS's bedroom instead!

Having a "doing/sorting" day today anyway as it is a holiday here and DS and DH are here.

Also want to wash curtains.

batinshoes · 01/11/2006 07:52

Morning all.

I swept all leaves off drive, cut back a plant and took hanging baskets down at weekend so all I have to do is sweep front step, bang mat and wipe front door. We did this last month too so it shouldnt be too grubby.

I still havent hoovered and my living room is a tip so i'll try that today. My entrance & hall are pretty tidy - hurrah - just needs the floor to be swept.

DD weed on my duvet last night so i need to find a dry cleaner (it wont fit in machine Grrr).

peegeeweegee · 01/11/2006 08:08

Morning all!!

Yippee, am rid of my halloween name, I did not like being a witch...

Did my porch last time round and it is still looking very good, so will give it a quick swish, swipe, sweep.

Will spend the rest of the day doing jobs - groceries being delivered, make cottage pie for tonight, make veg soup for freezer, take recycling to depot, pop to bank and get some cash for ds's forthcoming Beaver activities - in the next 4 weeks he is doing: bat conservation visit, hockey, grand prix racing day (with cardboard cars), santa's railway and a baking day.... He has a better social life than I have!!

Have a good day all!

Tort - good luck today, thinking of you.

tinshoes · 01/11/2006 08:34

ok, living room decluttered (all toys picked up) but for how long is anyone's guess.

Hope today goes well Tortoise.

SaintQuootiepie · 01/11/2006 09:12

grrrr, why do I always feel so sh*t?

Just dragged myself from bed, but been up since 6ish feeding and amusing DS. Hes so sweet, hes like me, he likes just lying in the bed in the morning for a while! He listens to the radio with me, while I stroke his head or tummy...

I dont have a porch, I do have a hall though... but its a complete state down there! Boxes of curtains that need to go back to my mums when I look through then, a rlled up rug that DH refuses to use until the sofas are here, parts of DSs pram... Think ill leave that one! The place looks like a bomb has hit it... DH cooked beans on toast and its splashed on the tiles (how??), I didnt do the washing up past about 4pm yesterday, so, 12 odd hours worth have piled up... and it was supposed to be DHs 3 days off, but hes doing overtime today and tomorrow... I know as soon as I go and out on my gloves, DS will cry... and I like a good clear run at it... oh well!

Surfermummystomb · 01/11/2006 09:44

Wow, has this come round already. I didn't do it last time as I was still in my curious about Flylady stage.

Shall do it later with yesterday's task too. I missed yesterday as was getting stuck into the Christmas shopping.

ludaloudbang · 01/11/2006 10:30

Oh Quootie poor you!{{HUGS}} hope you start feeling better soon!
My dh is sooo crap when it comes to cooking and cleaning up after himself!!!!!

I have cleared the porch of halloween debree

Took the sad looking hanging basket down

Hoovered porch, hall, living room and kitchen

PUT ALL MY WASHING AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(god I HATE IT!!!)I had loads to put away too as I have been putting it off!

Put a load in washer and dryer

Have yet to tidy kids rooms...clean kitchen

phew!!!!!

tinshoes · 01/11/2006 10:37

Q - hope you get some energy soon. This cold weather makes everything seem worse too.

I'm just back from dry cleaners. £15 for a duvet I was tempted to say no and buy a new one as there cant be much difference but it is a good one so better keep it.

DD had fallen over twice today which is normally an indication she is coming down with something. (dont ask me how this is?) Hope its not DHs cold

will sweep hallway and porch. cant do hoovering until DH back as need him to carry downstairs for me (i'm under instructions not to lift it as v. clumsy

keep going everyone!

ludaloudbang · 01/11/2006 10:45

ludaloudbang · 01/11/2006 10:56

Oh I see!!! Very clever! I haven't been on here long enough to know you as tinshoes! (I get confused very easily too!)

lol!@duvet mission!

Jelley · 01/11/2006 11:01

I joined last year in October, and was very confused when everyone changed their names after Halloween, too

Washing done, to be hung out,
yesterdays put away (I'm a three load a day girl at the moment, but not admitting on the other thread. Hope to get a day off tomorrow)
Kitchen floor washed
Packed lunch made and dropped of at school that I forgot to do this morning

I'm trying to put off dining room as it's such a tip.
I may clean up out the front of the house as mission since I have no porch.

ludaloudbang · 01/11/2006 11:03

I'm a three loader a day too..sometimes four...I admitted it on the other thread...just very quietly

Just did the kitchen - feel better when im not being lazy. Floor os a state, but, DS is asleep (not on my lap for once!) so cant hoover. I cant put the washing up away either as im too short (our pots and pan cupboard got slaughtered trying to find a burst pipe, so, they live ontop if the cupboards). Have abit of DSs washing up to do aswell... but, ill do that in abit Only 11.30, feels about 2!

pippah · 01/11/2006 11:55

Well done everyone - you all sound busy. Excepting of course poorly people who need to rest - get well soon!

I have done my morning routine like a good FLYbaby and have done one of my loads of washing and hung out on the line - gorgeous weather here! Also put away clothes from yesterday.

Have also decluttered and tidied telephone table in hall and will do the porch mission later this afternoon. Wednesday afternoon is my big hoovering time as DS is out - but want to wait until DH is home to take hoover up stairs so I don't kill myself falling downstairs!

I need a new toilet brush so that I can 'swish' properly - must go out to get one in next few days. I don't fancy doing a kim and aggy style 'hands down the loo' effort... Am very concerned about myself that I actually am starting to care about such things as shiny sinks and tidy 'hot spots'. Maybe it is all just nesting and I'll relapse into chaos for good once the baby arrives...

OP posts:
peegeeweegee · 01/11/2006 12:05

Groan.... can I please join the 'excused as feeling crap' group?

Feel headachy, have that vacant feeling in my head, have a sore throat, snuffely nose and aching limbs...
Think I am coming down with something....

Have put laundry away (yesterdays load) and washing one at the mo. Have put groceries away and first of two pans of soup for freezer is bubbeling onthe stove.
Still want to tidy dining room, but later....

ludaloudbang · 01/11/2006 12:49

Just having a quick breather...ds back from nursery and sat watching Finding Nemo.

Kitchen now clean...sink shiny..
Living room dusted and cleared
Have vaccumed once but it is looking like I might need to do it again

Just upstairs to tackle...kids rooms and toys!!!
Then a quick vaccum up there too

Right back to it! ds is practicing his Whale!!!! (if you have ever seen Nemo...there is a funny bit where the little blue fish talks like a whale)

Skribble · 01/11/2006 12:51
