p.s get well soon peegee

It must be because all us hard working mums don't have enough time to look after ourselves that everyone is ill!

I think we should have a special 15min relax and eat chocolate FLY

bigfatbump · 01/11/2006 12:55

I missed out the living room days as managed to put my back out picking thiongs off the floor. Just about able to bend now. I haven't got a porch so will do the outside - wipe the door and get some of the dead leaves from the mat.
I'm on Day 9 of baby steps and the sink is still shiny.

Jelley · 01/11/2006 13:15

bfb - had to smile while I worked out whether you hurt your back picking up things, or thongs!
Hope its better soon.

There are no more tools in my dining room (see last months pic for more details on power tools in the dining room)
I have decluttered, and sorted a bit of paperwork that was piling up next to computer (also in dining room)

Apronscreams · 01/11/2006 13:47

oh this is perfect we havve been all decked out for halloween and i had planned to remove all the spider webs today and clear up anyway. My children are off today so I think I will make them help - after all they helped decorate it. Hope everyone is ok - haven't read the thread - if I get a quiet moment later I will try and catch up

bigfatbump · 01/11/2006 14:25

Jelley, that's what happens when you try to post quickly from work lol. No with m y a*se its definitely things!

Bucketsofbloodydinosaurs · 01/11/2006 15:54

Right, I have my motivation back. Just invited DD's new little friend from pre-school and her mum back for a cuppa on Friday so have until then to tidy and clean (it's like a student squat right now). Will start by shining my sink for the first time in weeks
Heehee have you seen me pontificating on the Bloody Washing thread? If only they knew...

SaintQuootiepie · 01/11/2006 15:57

lol @ student squat. My living room is like that... I found DH had put last nights kebab box (Dh was working late... ) UNDER the chair! How much more like a student squat can you get... accompanied by an empty lager can. Was not impressed!

tinshoes · 01/11/2006 16:02

bucket - it seems we have the same laundry system

mummygunpowdertreasonhill · 01/11/2006 16:12

no flying here have spent all day at local hospital DS fell at the GP's surgery this morning and cut his forhead. The cut was as large as my thumbnail and very deep for where it was. I couldn't get over how much it bled. Not sure who was crying more him or me.

SaintQuootiepie · 01/11/2006 16:13

Oh Mummy, is she OK now?

SaintQuootiepie · 01/11/2006 16:13

still have to make cottage pie for tea tonight but only just come in from the park after school with dc and am frozen.....

must add 'get new mouse' to my to do list...

Bucketsofbloodydinosaurs · 01/11/2006 17:25

Have shined my sink, am back on track, yippee!
Still haven't scrubbed the remaining 2/3 of my kitchen floor but think I will go for the downstairs loo floor as a displacement activity (it's tiny.) Can't remember if dh is out or not tonight though, no point doing it if he's not around to admire / feel guilty / get turned on by my skivvying.

MamaApronstrings · 01/11/2006 17:51

porch is done, and some washing, three haircuts and a play date - we still have to get through the homework given yesterday(just to make sure no-one really enjoys a day off!) b ut we're not doing badly - sorry to hear about your lo mummyhill - after our stiars/tooth incident last week you certainly have my sympathy - I also appreciate how it seems to take the WHOLE day!

thehazelnutthatdoesnotgoBANG · 01/11/2006 17:57

Hi all. I still feeling pooped out. Mum has just popped home to check that all is ok there and then is coming back. She has done all my daily FLYing. She done 3 loads of washing today as its been such good weather today. Dc have been out playing for most of the day. Me? I stayed in bed

I hope tortoise got on ok today. I been thinking of her all day.
My xp1 sent me a letter 2/3 weeks ago saying "I let him see the DSs or he will take me to court." Well there as been things set up before, he phones Thursdays evening. And sees them on Saturdays. Hes the one that has stopped it. Its still open as far as I am concerned and my solicitor said to leave it as that. Well hes not bothered. Now I am worried that I will be going through the same sort of thing as tortoise is. as xp1 said he would fight me to have the DSs live with him
I hope its all gone ok for her.

thehazelnutthatdoesnotgoBANG · 01/11/2006 18:00

Hope Ds is ok soon Mummy hill.
I hate knocks to the head. They always worry me.
HN ((((( hugs ))))) to you and him

tortoise · 01/11/2006 19:53

Hello FLYers.
Will copy and paste from other thread in a minute!
I have lots of cleaning that needs doing but im soooo tired! Awake since 6am. Had to be out of the house by 7.30am this morning but at least i was on the train home by 2.30 and 20 mins later i was home!

tortoise · 01/11/2006 19:55

Right todays info !
Good and bad day. Finished by 1.30 though!
Well the expert came in. She is from Ahimsa who specialise in family who have had abuse involved. She basically said how well i had come on since she spoke to me in Jan.And i haven't had the specialist help she recommended. She feels the boys would be better off with me and didn't think they should be separated from their sisters. She said the care plan from SS and Guardian just didn't give good enough reason for them to stay with their Dad!
But now the SS and Guardian have had to go away and re-timetable the whole thing again to do some assessments that they think need doing and which all the solicitors involved feel should of been done 6 months + ago before the final hearing! So next Thursday they should of decided what assessments to do and who to do it and done a new timetable to the end.
Looks like the final hearing will now be delayed a few months. But at least i have a very good expert on my side!

tortoise · 01/11/2006 19:56

HN and others sorry still not feeling well. Its good you have someone to help you.
Lots of FLYing today by the sounds of it. Well done.

squatchette · 01/11/2006 19:59

Hi everyone well done on all the flying you put me to shame.Don't know where today went have been up since 7am but don't have much to show for it.
Went to town to pay various bills so can i have a Flypoint for that at least?Problem was i then got side tracked with various errands and took DDs for some dinner then called in at a friends on way home so didn't get back until tea time.Went to chinese for tea as well. God i am disgraceful, must do better.
Skribble read your post about the job can't believe a job as a driver doesn't pay petrol allowance WTF?Cheeky or what maybe you could claim it back in tax though.
Mummy hope your sons o.k now .
Tortoise let us all know how today went hun.

squatchette · 01/11/2006 20:02

Oh Tortoise you have posted as i was typing well that's great news and her opinion will carry alot of weight so hope you are feeling more optimistic despite the delay in the proceedings.
