Sorry to hear some of you aren't well. Hugs to you.
Sqatchette know what you mean about having the last laugh. for you that he let you down.
Well yesterday we took taxi, train and bus to the zoo. The DS's had an absolutley fantastic day. They were so excited especially in the new monkey walk through. Though some people really pee'd me off. They had just fed the otters and there was a rat on the side that was a bit bloody and mangled and this stupid woman was all "eeww!! that's disgusting. Shouldn't be allowed. Why don't they clean up? I'm going to complain." WTF was this stupid woman on? Then there was the stupid people who let their kids go on the other side of the barrier at the gorrila house and bang on the glass at Jock the male gorilla . We then went into Bristol and did some shopping. Spent £75 on one item of clothing but it is worth it. Then we had a nice meal in a moderatly expensive restaurant. Again the kids were wonderful and were a pleasure to be with. By the time we got home it was nearly 11.00 so the kids slept in this morning which was nice.
Today I have sorted through all of DS's pictures and art. He had piles of them. He does a minimum of 10 a day at home. So I've weeded a load out. Put his stuff he did at nursery in to 2 big A3 envelopes and another one for his stuff from home. Threw out a carrier bag full though. Feel quite guilty because they are DS's pride and joy, but I can't keep them all. DH put a shelf up on his bed for his light and alarm clock (he has a platform bed). We've sorted out the posters in their room and put up pictures that they have been given and we have bought for them, including a painting of Balamory that we bought ages ago when we visited and never got round to putting up. I need to sort their books out next and finish sorting the shelves out and then give the windows a really good clean tomorrow.
Slobbing on the sofa now with choccies and watching Xtra Factor.
