Seems like today just isn't a good day!!!!!

I shined my sink....looks lovely!!!
Came home from shopping...wet and miserable as I had to take all three kids with me.........
Only to find my fridge freezer has packed up
All this shopping and no where to put it!
Repair man is on another call....other than that I'm looking at at least £200 and have to wait up to 7 days delivery!!!!!....AAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!
And to top it all...was going to have dinner with a friends...now have to wait for the blinkin repair man to phone back.....
NOT GOOD!!!!

tortUREoisechamber · 25/10/2006 14:46

Well done HN.
Put me to shame! Ive been on here basically all day. Feeling guilty for leaving dd's watching tv too.

tortUREoisechamber · 25/10/2006 14:47

Oh no ludaloo.
hope it gets sorted soon. Nightmare for you.

ludaloo · 25/10/2006 14:48

Thanks tortoise.....
Think I might take all the frozens to my friends as she had a chest freezer....then eat everything else very quickly!!!!!!!!!

tortUREoisechamber · 25/10/2006 14:49

Sounds like a good plan!

theHAUNTEDhazelnut · 25/10/2006 15:11

Spuds done

I might have done more FLYing tortoise, but I did not do much yesterday, and my 3 dc have been watching the tv or playing too and I have not spent much time with them either.

ludaloo what a day you are having. {{{{hugs}}}} to you. Its wet and yuk here too I hope you can get the fridge sorted. Maybe some of the fridge bits you have could be put in a bath of cold water to help keep them cool (milk, etc). or if you have ice cubs you could wrap bits and the ice cubs with towels and keep cool that way.

HTH you

tortUREoisechamber · 25/10/2006 15:28

Washing off the stairs put away and girls summer clothes put in the loft.
TV turned off!!!
I just feel so low today.

mummyscaryhouseonthehill · 25/10/2006 15:31

you can buy ready peeled spuds from asda

Skribble · 25/10/2006 15:51

Those of you with cleaners should be banned from this thread .

Skribble · 25/10/2006 15:58

theHAUNTEDhazelnut · 25/10/2006 16:52

Well done tortoise, I should be putting Dc and my summer cloths up in the loft too really. I will have to do that once DSs are back at school or I will have a DS2 following me up the stepladder. I will get the Xmas decs down at the same time
Just wondering if I could put the Xmas tree outside so it could have a wash. Like it said the other day in a thread. Someone said in that thread about putting big dusty house plants outside when its wet and a bit windy to give them a wash. I could do the same with the Xmas tree. I need to sort out the lights too, need to know what spare bulbs I need to get for them. XP2 said to buy 2 sets of the same lights as it worked out cheaper for the 2nd set than buying the spare bulbs for them. I have seen a set of 20 lights for £1:99 and the spare bulbs were 99p for 4 bulbs.Thats works out to be £4:95 for just the 20 bulbs and there is no wire or bulbs. holders.
I am looking forward to Xmas, as all the lights make the winter nights look heaps better than the dark yuk nights. Even when its raining, with the Xmas lights sparkling in the rain is good to see. I wonder what FLYlady will have to say about FLYing with the dec up.

LOL @ scribble MNers with cleaners. New threads needed. FLYing after your cleaner has been to clean. hehe

theHAUNTEDhazelnut · 25/10/2006 17:00

Scribble. next time you need to do the Hama Beads it might be worth taking the iron to them instead of taking the pic of them to the iron.

Your poor DD though. its sods law. Hope she gets all back to how the pic was and ironed. Can we have a pic of it when its done please?. I`m sure we can make her feel chuffed about it. (cant we MN FLYers )

peegeeweegeeWITCH · 25/10/2006 18:31

Oh my giddy aunt - it is 6.30pm and I have done nothing, did not even check on here to see what the mission was till now...

Did loads of gardening yesterday (heavy digging and bucket carrying stuff) and think I have overodne it. Woke up this morning and was unable to move arms - sooooooo sore......
Smothered myself in Deep Heat and have done nothing all day...

Now the Deep Heat smell is making me feel queesy and headachy, so will pack dc off to bed after tea and have an early night. Dh is working late tonight, so am on my lonely ownsome...

Here is hoping I am ready to fly again tomorrow...

Happy birthday Rebecca, hope you had a nice day Jarm...

theHAUNTEDhazelnut · 25/10/2006 18:54

peegeeweegeeWITCH Sounds like you did enough yesterday to last for today and tomorrow. I hope your arms feel better soon. I know how you feel as I have ME and if I over do things then my arms feel so painful. The worst thing about pain like that is, no-one else can see why it hurts. have a nice hot bath/shower and that will help your arms heaps.

We have had tea and the DC have had a bath. while tea was cooking we all made an apple cake. Its great fun cooking with 3 DC helping. Puts fun into cooking (Its smelling good too )

Dc to bed soon and then I will clean the kitchen and have a hot bath.

What are the rest of you going to be doing tonight? I am just being nosy

tortUREoisechamber · 25/10/2006 19:07

I have just put DD's to bed. Going to have a bath later. And just MN i guess!

pippah · 25/10/2006 19:39

I finally managed to get motivated today and surprised myself with what I did (DS was out for the afternoon, so I had a bit of free time ):

*Tidied bedside table, put a framed drawing that I did of my little boy there, to make me smile!

*Did my 15 min declutter on my knicker drawer. Am embarassed at the state of most of my knickers and have chucked 'em...now need to buy new knickers!!

*Did another 15 minutes burst where I hoovered/ mopped downstairs, also wiped skirting board and radiators with some minor decluttering along the way - put stuff away in garage that had been hanging around for ages.

*Put together an attempt at a Control Journal - figured that this way, I can get other people (DH and my mum) to do some of the stuff once I have given birth.

*When I went for my 4000th wee of the day, I swished and swiped and dusted and wiped the windowsill and put some bits away.

*I then treated myself to a lovely long shower, face scrub, lathered on loads of yummy body lotion (too late for my poor stretch marks though!) and did proper hair and make-up. I feel v pampered now!

I'm v impressed with how breaking stuff down into little chunks really seems to work. Normally, I would be scared by the scale of the mess and not know where to begin...It is so nice to be able to give myself a pat on the back for doing something, just whatever little bits I have been able to accomplish, rather than seeing it as a huge scary task that I am failing at. Thanks to all on here for all the motivation! Now that's my gushy bit over, I'm off to veg in front of the sofa with a TV dinner!

batinshoes · 25/10/2006 19:43

well done pippah

i'll be vegging in front of tv tonight.

i just felt compelled to wash all of DDs bath toys. please tell me its not nesting. with dd i rearranged all of dh's clothes into season & colour order a couple of days before i gave birth. didnt seem the least bit odd, but after yesterday i'm a bit paranoid....

tortUREoisechamber · 25/10/2006 19:45

Well you never know bat.
Just keep your legs crossed!

sahmtotwo · 25/10/2006 20:33

Done my usual swish and swipe etc. today andhave been cleaning all of the DS's toys. They had been strewn all across the bedroom floor so you couldn't play with them properly and the dog got trapped in there and wee'd all over the toys. So we've got assorted plastic boxes and sorted the toys into them and put some shelves up for the boxes. Now we are washing every toy in every box. Just got one more to do tomorrow woohoo!!

Am sitting down to watch How Clean is Your House now. Makes me feel better.

Hope you are ok Bats. Rest as much as you can.

Pippah good idea about the control journal.

Bristol Zoo is brilliant. We have family membership and enjoy going there.

Surfermummystomb · 25/10/2006 20:49

God yes, How Clean is your House makes mine look like Anthea's by comparison.

QuootieSpookypie · 25/10/2006 20:50

evening! Not much to update on really, just popped in to say hi! Back to normal FLYing tomorrow as DH back at work

theHAUNTEDhazelnut · 25/10/2006 20:51

I dont think I will be getting my bath tonight, DD keeps cry. Poor DD

Bat I rthink you should rest as must as poss too.

I like the idea with a control journal too. I like the idea of job lists. It looks great when you tick the jobs you have done and the more you do the better the list looks. You can get to see the jobs you have done, as some jobs you just dont see what you have done. ie cleaning where you dont get to see (behind things), hoovering the sofa/chairs, etc

tortUREoisechamber · 25/10/2006 20:54

My bath is run but Bro on MSN!
Glad my house isn't as bad as one on tv!
I could reach to shut my curtains properly tonight without standing on the bed

theHAUNTEDhazelnut · 25/10/2006 21:02

Hi Q

I watched how clean is your house too Surfermummy, well the bits when I was not going up and down the stairs to DD. I cant see how they could live like they were. They cant have done any housework at all. It was a good job they did not have to de-clutter using the 15 minute rule! they would be still de-cluttering this time next week. lol
That house made mine look empty.
