I've got 4 rooms to sort plus laundry etc. going to set a half an hour timer in each room and to from there. Will put the washing machine on first and then make a start on the kitchen for half an hour.

I will come back here once iv done that - so see you in about 40 mins! Grin

Fed the DCs and put away some laundry so far. DH getting ready to hoover Smile

afreshstartplease · 08/02/2015 10:06

Bed stripped
Washer on

About to go run some errands

WouldYouBelieveIt · 08/02/2015 11:53

DCs' rooms done. Laundry on the line and another load in the machine. Loads of tidying but somehow the house looks just as messy Confused At least all floors have been hoovered by DH

Have a few errands myself now. Food shop. I also need a couple of dvd binders so I can get rid of all the hard cases. Should free up some storage space

afreshstartplease · 08/02/2015 14:40

I have slowed down to a standstill...

calzone · 08/02/2015 14:47

Washing done and hanging.

Going to ice my chocolate cake. Smile

Domestic goddess here. SmileSmileSmile

Back from errands.

Well done calzone. Have lowered my aspirations myself. I hope to do some more tidying and blitz the bathroom before I give in to my natural laziness...

Hi, I'll join in if you don't mind!

Today I've:

Filled dishwasher
Cleaned and rearranged couple of kitchen cupboards
Emptied bins/recycling
Put clothes on radiator

I still need to:
Empty and refill dishwasher
Load of washing on
Wipe kitchen benches
Maybe do another cupboard
Take kids to gymnastics
Make tea
Sweep kitchen

There's loadsmore to do around the house but I'm starting small and try to do one room at a time. I want 2015 to be the year I have a tidy organised home. Grin

WouldYouBelieveIt · 13/02/2015 16:37

Anyone up for another Saturday of cleaning tomorrow?

JenniferJen · 14/02/2015 07:16

yeah maybe. I've got all 4 of my kids home today but i might get away with it if the youngest 2 sleep. it certainly needs doing again. such a never ending battle. Sad

I like your timer idea Smile I always end up with the same rooms spotless and others not touched!

afreshstartplease · 14/02/2015 07:27

cikecaka · 14/02/2015 08:08

Birthday party next Friday for Dd3, would like some company/encouragement!

First, get out of bed!

afreshstartplease · 14/02/2015 08:58

More the merrier I say!

All up dressed and fed so far here

OneDayWhenIGrowUp · 14/02/2015 09:06

Argh..... I'm gonna join this. It's just me and a cat in a 1 bed flat but it feels like a insurmountable mountain at the moment to get it spick and span- I've been so swamped at work lately and feeling quite stressed/down generally that I've not done anything for weeks. Literally every corner needs attacking, tidying, laundry, washing up, and that's before any actual cleaning. But I've promised myself this weekend is all mine to Sort My Life Out.

So it begins- I am going to get up and put the first load of laundry on now, and start attacking the living room with a bin bag. Solidarity!

afreshstartplease · 14/02/2015 09:25

Well done!

Washer is on and sink is full of bubbles

WouldYouBelieveIt · 14/02/2015 09:42

Finally ready to get started. It is neverending. Laundry, tidying, cleaning. Plus I have some work I need to take a look at. However, the first task will be to strip the beds and load the washing machine

afreshstartplease · 14/02/2015 09:50

Pots are washed
Table is wiped
Living room shelves cleared

Kleptronic · 14/02/2015 10:03

Well I've washed my flange, does that count? Grin

OneDayWhenIGrowUp · 14/02/2015 10:33

Haha. I haven't. For some reason on mega cleanup days, I wash myself last.

Well I've done one load of laundry, and taken the top layer of crap out of the living room, and emptied bins. Also done a fair bit of procrastinating, checking phone etc and re-bra interventioned myself.
Next- hang up laundry, and start on washing up

hijk · 14/02/2015 10:38

I'm in. I've been ill with flu for 2 months, and the house is an UTTER pigsty.

now I''m raring with energy, but the size of the task is somewhat daunting.

My aim today, is one hour in each of the following rooms:

Kitchen

Living room

Bathroom

My bedroom

Spare room - has been used as a hospital ward !

DCs rooms - 30 mins each, with their help

Ok, that is 6 hours, then I will review. I'm off to start the kitchen back in one hour!

Lweji · 14/02/2015 11:08

I'm trying to clean up some of my work list (while MNetting). Does that count?

You are making me feel guilty and I might hoover the floor in a bit.
The washing machine is on, though.
