mission

OP posts:
shazdisembodiedronnie · 20/10/2006 07:41

oops I just started one too - ignore mine!!

jasnDISMemBERED · 20/10/2006 07:45

No motivation to do cheery thread title today...another boring bathroom mission. (I do it as we run low anyway)

I do the donut thing from the washing line in the garden (may be fun in the dark)or hang the in pairs in a doorframe and go in teams. You can get small ones in a tub from tesco/sainsburys etc.
Last time we used party rings when we ran out of donuts...

You could also do baloon popping - tie a baloon to the ankle of each child, and they all have to try and burst each others - last one unpopped wins. Better with slightly underinflated baloons and bare feet orit will be over in seconds!

sorry shaz.
I like the idea of date night spent admiring our freshly stocked loo roll though.

IvortheEngine · 20/10/2006 08:53

Hello all! I think I have a mission of my own today as I've had an e-mail asking for stuff for a Scouts car boot tomorrow. That's a good excuse for a sort out of books and stuff. I already have too much by way of bath stuff so I'm on a ban from buying until 2007 at the earliest and then only if we've nearly run out. We currently have about 6 of everything.

So far today I've had brekkie and so have the kids and dh. Dh has gone to work, the kids to school. I've put one load of washing on and out onto the line but whether it'll dry is another matter. I've stripped the three beds and put another load on. The washing up is done and I've put the dishwasher on. So...it's going okay considering it's not yet 9am. I need to make a list of what we need for our holiday next week and there's a huge ironing pile to tackle.

As for Halloween, I only allow the kids to do trick and treating to a couple of the neighbours who I know won't mind. Some have kids so they'll do likewise. I bought dd a two sets of scary plastic nails and that's about as much Halloweening as I'll do. It's different when the kids are nearly teenagers, though!

peegeeweegeeWITCH · 20/10/2006 09:22

jarm - sorry to hear you are still not teeling too well....
hope you manage to get some rest at your dad's...

just did the mission - i did my online shop yesterday so just added the missing item...

off to take dd to her swimming lesson now, and will spend afternoon whilst she is at nursery making a wholesome veg soup!!

have a good day all...

pippah · 20/10/2006 09:48

don't need to do this one as we have loads of loo roll. But I fancy giving the living room a mini makeover (throw over grubby sofa, swap around cushions etc) so I will do that instead!

IvortheEngine · 20/10/2006 10:20

I've just invited another sister to stay for a night or two the week after next! I think I'm going to have to really sort out the spare bedroom today and make up the other spare bed as we're away next week. Right. Time to crack on!

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 20/10/2006 10:36

im starting perk up a bit this morning, so have given the kitchen a once over.

just waiting for the sainsburys man to come and i will see how i feel after i have put all the shopping away!

Becky is sleeping (hoorah!) and Jess is jsut chilling on the sofa, so once lunch is out the way I will put her for a sleep too.

Need to pack bags for gonig to dads tonight - have made a list so i dont forge anything lol

Surfermummystomb · 20/10/2006 10:44

I have a hangover and I haven't done anything yet, apart from give dd her breakfast and stick her in front of CBeebies. Thank heavens the task is an easy one today.

theHAUNTEDhazelnut · 20/10/2006 11:56

Hi all. Just poped in to see what todays mission is. I did that last week.
I have changed all the beds and have washed them, now drying. T/D though. The sun keeps going in here and it looks like it might rain then.
My next job is to hoover all over the house and just get things looking ok for the weekend. I think I will just have a lazy 1
I might go to the pake with DC after school, It wont matter if they get a bit dirty. I will just take the DSs wellies to put on.
Glad you are feeling a bit better JARM and I hope you night away does you some good.

I must remember to get some eggs when I get DSs from school too, We can make some cookies and cakes then.

Hope you all have a good day. See you all later.

< HN now go and do some more FLYing and turn the computer off.>

oops that told me

theHAUNTEDhazelnut · 20/10/2006 11:58

pake?? Park

SusiSkelletonInTheCloset · 20/10/2006 12:03

park sounds like a good idea to me ... but later

just back home from shopping with 2 little monsters in tow - dd is asleep and ds is eating one yoghurt after the other - shopping is put away so at least that's done.

but pheww i am exhausted!!

Apronscreams · 20/10/2006 12:20

no school here today - so I'm sure the children will really slow me down/undo my good work!

I have had a fab week - the house looks LOADS better.

Do you post fly missions at the weekend? - its generally damage limitation here

Its only 7 am - just getting my morning cuppa. Will check back later.

Trinityrhino · 20/10/2006 12:35

hey all, really want to get back on my fly-stick or whtever you call it, like getting back on the horse. but right now the baby is sleeping so I am going to have a nap and then I AM GOING TO FLY

see you back here in a bit

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 20/10/2006 12:39

Hi all

Well i have made lunch (and for once it got eaten not thrown on the floor!) and have tidied away in the kitchen.... even swept the floor!

Will now go upstairs and pack the stuff we all need for going to my dads - dont let me forget the swimming nappies!

Im then going to put Jess down for a nap and put dishwasher on (a few glasses and a bottle upstairs still) and then sit and relax for a bit - feeling better but know i shouldnt be over-doing it, putting the shopping away earlier nearly killed me!

asleep · 20/10/2006 12:51

hi all!
i haven't got a headache today but horrible period pain. it's always something!
did:

  • school run
  • the weekly food shopping
  • lunch (pitta bread filled with humous, cheese, salad and falafels - it was gorgeous!)
  • dishwasher on
  • tidied living room and kitchen

still got lots to do, but i will take it easy until painkillers kick in.

MrsFish · 20/10/2006 12:53

Well I have done everything I can in both bathrooms now, so this morning I defrosted the freezer and scrubbed and sorted out the fridge, feel like I have achieved something, I have been meaning to do it for months

ds has had lunch so I am hoping he will have a nap soon then I can do the dining room which has become a major hot spot

MamaGhoul · 20/10/2006 12:56

jarm - do you want some small pink huggies swim nappies for nowt? I've got some lurking in a draw and its really wasteful to just chuck them out! If you've use for them CAT me your address and I'll pop them in the post.

jasnDISMemBERED · 20/10/2006 12:57

apron - there are no missions at the weekend, Sat is "family fun day" and Sun is "renew the spirit day"

No comment here, Fly lady would have me struck off

I've washed
hoovered
swish/swiped
tidied the sitting room
fed the baby
eaten 3 mars bars

I'm helping in dds class at school in a bit, so not likely to get more done this afternoon.

I will try harder tomorrow - it's my bed changing general clear up day
