that's allright. happens to the best

well, got woken at 5am by a 'intomybedsneakinglittleboy' - fought with him for an hour to go back to sleep - at 6.10 we all got up [yaaaaawn]

  • all dressed
  • all fed, milked and tea-ed
  • i even put some cream on my face after my wash (guess it's because i can actually find/see things now in the bathroom since starting to declutter )
  • ds is at nursery
  • dd is down for her morning nap
  • i'll be going (probably) to get some more boxes and storage units - once she is awake
  • s/w upstairs toilet

kitchen is still tidy; but playroom is a bombsite - i can't win, can i?!?!

i do need a plan!
there is so much to do and i want it all done NOW

so where to start ....

MrsFish · 19/10/2006 08:46

Well we are up and breakfasted, but not dressed yet, we are having a chilled out hour, then I'll get us both up and dressed

Plan for today is...

Scrub the doors of all the kitchen units, they are painted an off white and are starting to look quite mucky, then mop the floor in kitchen, hallway and downstairs loo.

Take ds to nursery at 1pm

Do the weekly shop.

Come back put my feet up for an hour or so, then go and pick him up.

Don't need to do anything to the bathroom, as did it all on tuesday.

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 19/10/2006 08:48

I still need to do the cupboard in the girls room

Still need to start on the spare room

Need to sweep kitchen floor

Need to tidy, declutter and hoover living room

Whether i will get it done is a different matter - I feel like I've been hit by a bus so all I really want to do is curl up on the sofa!

spiderplant · 19/10/2006 09:29

Hi, you all have a busy day! I have loads to do too. Like you Mrsfish...kitchen cupboards need a wipe (have a grubby dh!!!! thats before the kids get them mucky!)
JARM...my livingroom needs sorting too. I have to stay in today to sign for a delivery so I have no excuse...you should take it easy and have a hot choccie hope you feel better soon

peegeeweegeeWITCH · 19/10/2006 09:32

Morning!!
Right, ds is at school, after asking me if I could please dust his room as he is having a friend back for tea today. Mmm, perhaps I really do need to spend more time cleaning....

So, will put on a load of laundry, take a few mins on the mission, clean the boiler/washingmachine cupboard in the bathroom (very dusty) and then come back on here to reward myself with a cup of coffee.

Back soon!

peegeeweegeeWITCH · 19/10/2006 10:02

phew, did it - flung some cosmetics (don't have many anyway) in all of errr 30 seconds!

damp-dusted boiler/washingmachine cupboard, and then went upstairs to our loft room which is ds's bedroom.
A quick straighten and dust was all it needed. I did contemplate sweeping his floor, but ds has the weird habit of collecting dead spiders and keeping them in a little pile in his room and I refuse to sweep until they are gone!!

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 19/10/2006 10:07

Hiya

Ive...
*Woken up
*gone to bathroom
*brushed teeth
*changed DS
*rung about the TV
*Sat infront of comp

You proud?

MrsFish · 19/10/2006 10:09

Well ds is dressed, not managed it myself yet, also not started on the kitchen, but I have flyed my other bathroom and chucked away loads of out of date stuff and cleaned it, so I have at least done something.

ds seems to be playing quietly and nicely for the time being, so I may do a quick dash upstairs to get dressed, see ya shortly :D

spiderplant · 19/10/2006 10:09

Hi QueenQ..
Not a bad start!!
I have put the dishwasher on, took kids to school, put the washing in the dryer...and now really must go and do some serious work...this site is soooooo adictive!!!!!!!

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 19/10/2006 10:12

I feel rough today - not bothered to have my shower yet, not dressed, kitchen used to be done every night and just bits done in the morning - its a state...

Might do my cosmetics though, at least keep up with the daily missions.

asleep · 19/10/2006 10:17

morning!

  • sorted out budget as it's pay day today
  • done the school run
  • dishwasher on
  • made DS potato puree
  • tidied kitchen

i don't think i will do much else as i have an awful headache that has been hanging around for days now. must be because i feel really stressed with DD's behaviour.

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 19/10/2006 10:20

We are all feeling pretty shite then! I feel SO rough..... really not with it at all. Kids are making one hell of a mess and i really dont care!

Waiting for DH to let me know whether he is coming home to help me out or not - depends if the medic he see's soon will sign him off - bloomin army!

jasnDISMemBERED · 19/10/2006 10:29

Sorry everyone feels so bad today, can we all have a day off?

I'm ok, so I'd better do something...

DDs are at school, ds is asleep (has been since 9, so not for much longer)
shopping is done

I need to

wash up
hoover
put the washing machine on
put away yesterdays washing
wrap more presents
make biscuits
prepare tea

by 12.00

I'll report back and let you know how much of it I do.

Morning flybabies,

Up and got the eldest to school. Been to the HA to look at the mutual exchange list and pick up the form to get us on it as upstairs is doing my head in. Unfortunatly 3 bed houses are like hens teeth round here. Got home and I'm bf ing baby and on here now. He's falling asleep but everytime I try to stand up to put him down he wakes up again. So looks like I may be stuck here for a while. So flying this afternoon for me!!!

PinkTulips · 19/10/2006 10:43

ds was awake half the night feeding and expolding nappies all over the bed so i stayed in bed with him til 9.30 catching up on some sleep while dp took dd. up and dressed now, have to hang washing and load machine, hoover upsatairs and do the weekly shop so better get crackin.

hope all of you feeling rough take it easy today.

not doing mission by the qway, don't have enough make-up to throw any away and it nicely stored away in my bedroom in a lovely leather make-up case so doesn't count as clutter

tessasmum · 19/10/2006 10:43

sahmtotwo - same here re DS and bf, only time I get on computer ATM!!

Still on bathroom, mainly because I don't know where to start with DD's bedroom. Poor girl has ALL the toys and ALL the clothes in there. DS sleeps in the office and will do until new office in garage is decorated/fitted out. Maybe by next month he'll be in a room of his own and can store his own possessions, then I'll have a choice of 'one other room' to tackle!

sahmtotwo · 19/10/2006 10:45

Sorry a few of you are feeling ill (((((hugs))))

Hope you feel better soon

fcking fcking tv and printer. My photo printer keeps jamming, and the lovely people in a foreign callcentre thought the "paper keeps jamming and going wonky - about 30 degres" thought
I was on about the temp. of my room! They are sending a new one but ill be buggered if they are taking this one I might get it to work

The TV people want us to take it back downstairs, to the store and swap it. As bloody if! It weights a ton! & wont fit in the car. Everything is breaking... I daresay the comp. will go next.

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 19/10/2006 11:42

tessa - snap! im feeding DS on lap

Glad your getting better Ruby

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 19/10/2006 11:44

oh, & to top it off, I think DS might be getting nappy rash.... Hopefully it was just because we had to use non sensitive wipes yesterday.

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 19/10/2006 11:49

Well i am about to give up and cry in a corner.

DH cant get away from work (bloody army)

Rebecca usually sleeps 9.30-11.30am and has STILL not gone to sleep - have put her in her cot and all she is doing is crying!

Jess is just being a cheeky little minx and makig so mch mess!

If Becky doesnt stop crying by the time I finish this post, I will have no option other than to bring her downstairs, strap her in the buggy and rock it backwards and forwards until she drops off.... no way am I going to try and go for a walk feeling the way I do - especially with toddler in tow!

With any luck, if i can get 10 mins peace I may be able to push the hoover round, but even that is making me think its too much effort!

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 19/10/2006 11:52

what a day we are all having... ((hugs)) JARM
