I did it yesterday .
Bathroom missions are rubbish imo.

I need something different to do.

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 17/10/2006 07:42

LOL!!
Luckily I'm off to work.....the thought of doing the bathroom is too much for me after having such a long time away from the FLYwooman!!!

I'll try later!

peegeeweegeeWITCH · 17/10/2006 07:52

Fantastic - did that yesterday!!!

Am off to WhizzyWorld in Farnborough with a friend and our dd's this morning, to check it our for dd's birthday party. Then will take dd to nursery, take the dog for a long walk, collect dc from school/nursery, hang around for ds's parents evening appointment (in the afternoon), rush home, feed dc, take ds to beavers, rush home, cook tea, collect dc, do homework with dc, play with dd, wash and put dc to bed.... phew....
Absolutely no time for FLYing today....

Have a great day all!!

batinshoes · 17/10/2006 07:59

did mine yesterday too

dont forget this week is about '1 other' room' too, so why dont we all focus on one of the kids bedrooms as well as/instead of the bathroom if we're on top of that.

i'm ok. good night sleep. off out to tumble club with dd this morning so will FLY a bit this afternoon.

scarymaryme · 17/10/2006 08:19

Morning all.....didn't manage to do bathroom at all yesterday...will do it today....after the vaccuming, dusting and washing...oh and cleaning the hamster...hmm and the kithchen looks like a bomb has gone off in it. Oh and all i wanted to do today was christmas shopping for the kids
Why am I such a slacker of late!??

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 17/10/2006 08:45

Morning! No point doing that because im going to try and finish the glossing and will put things in the bath - might do it this evening though. I jumped straight into the shower today, so am washed and dressed, didnt have time to make my bed as DS wanted feeding, so fed infront of computer while I checked ebay. Eating breakfast now... then I think DS will want entertaining!

batinshoes · 17/10/2006 08:45

peegeeweegee - Runabout in Farnborough is pretty good too for birthday parties.

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 17/10/2006 08:47

im slacking.... didnt do the kitchen at all before bed, and ill be buggered if im doing it now! Ill think about doing it later....

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 17/10/2006 09:55

All ive done since last checked in is ring bupa... but at least I got around to finally doing it! Ringing to get contents insurance now...

claricebean · 17/10/2006 10:04

Hi everyone, well I did no flying yesterday as I had to queue for FOUR AND A HALF HOURS at three different hospitals / surgeries to make various antenatal appointments. Here in Spain they assume everyone has a spare few days to do anything bureaucratic, so there's nothing convenient like making appointments by PHONE...aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh.

Anyway, determined to have a gentle day today as I found yesterday thoroughly exhausting and didn't sleep well last night. So, not sure the blessing hour will happen and I think I'll start Kelly's missions next week (it is only my third week - baby steps and all that).

Still, I do have a shiny sink, clean(ish) hot spots and my laundry load is whirring away in the machine.

MrsFish · 17/10/2006 10:04

Main bathroom all sparkling clean, cleaned everything and chucked out a load of stuff too. It does grieve me throwing away bottles that are full, but its all bath essence and foam which I just don't use as I always shower

Had tantrum from ds after stopping him throwing everything in the bath for the third time. It is so much more difficult doing anything when he is under foot, bless him

Unfortunately his sleeping pattern has changed this week, he used to sleep from 10am till at least 1pm, he now won;t and is just sleeping for an hour after lunch now

MacabreMe23 · 17/10/2006 10:14

hi, I came to join you last week but then vanished lol, busy week I've been clearing out my clutter so I can get on top of things!
didn't check in yesterday so I'll be doing monday and tuesdays missions today.

shazdisembodiedronnie · 17/10/2006 10:37

not had a brill FLYing day so far. Been out and about with DD2 this morning. Have decided to concentrate on her bedroom this week as the bathroom is OK. So, have pulled out her cot and hoovered and cleaned under there - yuk. In fact realised that the cot hasn't been moved since DD1 was born and that was years ago - oops. Have also washed all her soft toys in the washing machine - they look great now.

It's quiet today - where are you all?

asleep · 17/10/2006 13:25

hello!
i bought a PINK timer for £1.99 in aldi this morning. it's fab. i set it to 15 minutes and it counts down. used it a few times today already.
i want to buy a slowcooker. i remember someone bought one last week and others already have one... what are they like? am i likely to use it a lot?

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 17/10/2006 13:31

i love my slow cooker - its on at the moment with beef stew in it!

put in on and forget about it lol

SusiSkelletonInTheCloset · 17/10/2006 13:41

funny enough i've bought a slow cooker only a week ago. have done a beef stew since; haven't got the hand of it just yet - we don't do much stews but i reckon that'll change (i just need lots of recipes now) - i just bought a cheap one in argos; you can put the bowl in the dishwasher - that sold it to me

dp is still asleep so couldn't do bathroom. have done playroom instead - oh boy
moved all the furniture and found lots of 'missing' toys
and put everything in the right box; and exchanged the things the kids can actually get hold of - let's hope that'll entertain them for a while
just one more hotspot, the windows (there is loads; it's our conservatory ) and washing the floor - then it's as good as new

i did start on the bathroom though; finally put all the towels in the airing cupboard, i just need a unit to put in there so i can store more things! and i started throwing things .... quite a few emptyish bottles

flossieteacake · 17/10/2006 13:54

Good afternoon - just to report my bathroom is nice and clean from yesterday's extravaganza, I organised a whoppin box of things in the spare (piles of junk) room (only 17 more boxes to go!), still need to hoover and dust. Someone please tell me that housework is fun and that the spangly shining results will be worth all the graft! hehe, happy FLYing all, wish me luck!

peegeeweegeeWITCH · 17/10/2006 13:56

bat - thanks for the tip about Runabout, will check it out!!
Also, thanks for reminding me today is about one other room too, I had forgotten...

Will tackle dd's room, it is in need of a good sort-out, a toy-cull, and a sweeping and dusting session...

Better go and do that now!!

jasnDISMemBERED · 17/10/2006 14:01

kids room...after

I've done no flying at all today.
Feeling very lazy.

I have a slow cooker and ruined a stew last week by puttin lentils in it - they never cook!

I like it cos I can cook meat without having to do anything (i'm veggie) but really need recipes too.

Bucketsofbloodydinosaurs · 17/10/2006 14:25

Beautiful, Jas.
I've been very very busy in the bathroom, it is no longer rank. I have hoovered out the cobwebs from the cupboard, scrubbed the floor, cleaned the bath, basin and properly scrubbed the loo a la Kim& Aggie. Still seems untidy and cluttered but at least it's clean.
DD has a cold so my mum who popped round for coffee convinced me she shouldn't go to playschool but should go out shopping and playing with her for the rest of the day! Hurray for Grandmas with cars eh? DS has been fast asleep since they left so I was able to really get my hand down that toilet .
Off to make cauliflower, broccoli and leeks in cheese sauce as per my mealplan.
keep up the good work girls

claricebean · 17/10/2006 14:33

Jas and BOBD you are inspiring me to get off my a* and finish my weekly blessing. So far have done bins, bed changing and doors/mirrors. Plus cooked (and eaten) spag bol for lunch .Off to hoover and mop now.
