auntymandy · 09/10/2006 11:04

maybe I should move on from cleaning my sink!!
I never get time to look at the pc to see whats next and when I do Its look at what you have already done...........cleaned my sink?!!!

SusiSkelletonInTheCloset · 09/10/2006 11:24

i too appreciate the posting here. it makes me realise what i actually have achieved!
and reading up on you what else i could do

went through 2 drawers in the kitchen, threw alot, cleaned them and put it all back in nicely

so what now?

peegeeweegeeWITCH · 09/10/2006 11:25

Auntymandy, I have to confess I never followed the baby steps thing as it felt sooo slow....

Plus I often leave pans to soak in the sink overnight, so shining my sink was never an option...

I just started last week at the first zone and now just concentrate on that zone for real in-depth cleaning (the sort you will only do once every few months) and then do the homeblessing hour..., but follow it loosely, it just consists of dusting and vacuuming either downstairs or upstairs and a quick tidy up.

I really hope I will be able to stick with this as it is the first time for many many years I have not despaired about the state of the house and the cleaning needed....

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 09/10/2006 11:28

phew, its a nightmare hoovering my living room... picking up playgyms, bouncers, highchairs, bumbo and hoovering under them...takes forever! At least ive done it now... DS can go back to crawling around on it, Ive already had to change him today because his bodysuit was covered in crumbs from the floor

batinshoes · 09/10/2006 11:32

auntymandy i gave up on the babysteps after about day 4 as it was too slow.

now i concentrate on the zone each week, do kelly's mission every day and split the home blessing across the week. means i end up doing 30-60 mins cleaning a day i guess in 3-4 bursts.

very proud as today i have done the following :
15 mins hotspot in bedroom,

in kitchen i have cleaned bread bin, toaster, canisters & stainless steel accessories, cleaned cupboard doors, kitchen doors, oven doors, sink, tile splashbacks, kettle, skirting boards, and wiped fingerprints of walls.

ALL OF THAT TOOK ABOUT 20 MINS in 2 seperate bursts!!! cant quite believe it myself

still have not cleaned kitchen bin....[hmmm]

and its getting me depressed when i think back to just 3 weeks ago and i was becomeing relly house proud, now i dont even want to answer the door to anyone agen,
i just relly dont know where to start, or even if i shuld start or just go to bed for a few houers,

auntymandy · 09/10/2006 11:54

My house has slipped over the weekend. I feel so awful when people call. but if they dont like it they can go away. or look at my clean sink!!

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 09/10/2006 12:02

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 09/10/2006 12:04

Just set the girls up with lunch, 2 hours til i have to go to the hospital with them.... what do you all reckon..... kitchen bin or living room hot spot?

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 09/10/2006 12:04

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 09/10/2006 12:05

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Not the bin!!! Its yukky!!! Cant i do the living room hotspot and get DH to do the dirty horrible bin tonight?! LOL

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 09/10/2006 12:09

do the bin, then its done. finished. You'll feel so proud!

shazdisembodiedronnie · 09/10/2006 12:10

bin jess!

(I haven't done mine yet though.)

Done the home blessing - got DH to help by purging magazines and emptying all trash. That man can dawdle over the most simple job - good thing I didn't have the timer on!

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 09/10/2006 12:17

typical men....

Are any FLYers going to the Christmas Meet-up?

jasnDISMemBERED · 09/10/2006 12:27

Me, assuming I don't chicken out at the last minute.

jasnDISMemBERED · 09/10/2006 12:31

I've walked miles this morning. Got the teething powders for ds, but really wanted a set of stacking cups for him(he is a little deprived in the toy department at the moment). Couldn't find any anywhere.

He's busy mashing banana into his face, but when he's done I'm going to do 15 mins in the kitchen and cleasnmy wheelie bin. I can see the binmen emptying it out of my window now, so have no excuse.

TortUREoiseChamber · 09/10/2006 12:37

Afternoon.
I don't feel like doing anything.
Well except maybe curling up in a ball in a small dark corner.
Looks like im not going to get residency of my dss.

Skribble · 09/10/2006 12:42

Afternoon all, back from a very profitable trip. So now I have a bit of catching up to do.

Monday is my day for catching up on laundry so 4th load in as DS was on a cub camp. Nice and sunny so some on line and some in dryer to hurry iit all along.

Did about 1 hr home fixing, also cleaned DD's window while I was there, I did ours last week so perhaps a window a week . Hoover bags arrived so did a quick weech around. Didn't change sheets I do that on a Tuesday kids one week ours the other week. Too much to wash in one day plus I find I have enough washing on a Monday.

Pulled out everything from under the settee due to last weeks mouse discovery. No mice found just loads of stuff to chuck, plus 3 socks 2 dishcloths, 1 doll, 1 tool box etc.

I might manage the bin later, i did polish the outside of it last week but inside could really do with a freshen.

Heading in to the bank now to pay bills.

Skribble · 09/10/2006 12:43

aww TortUREoiseChamber sorry to hear that. Are they still deciding?

Beccarolloveragain · 09/10/2006 12:44

skribble - I keep meaning to ask you what is it that you do? keep reading interesting things about mints!

tortoise im so sorry, i guess it wasnt good news? What did she say?

TortUREoiseChamber · 09/10/2006 12:46

Both the sw and Childrens guardian think xp1 should have residency of the ds's.That will leave me as the only one who doesn't want that.

Beccarolloveragain · 09/10/2006 12:47

what are there reasons for that?

The boys want to be with you dont they?

Skribble · 09/10/2006 12:47

Beccarolloveragain I have a little toy stall and I was asked to go to a childminders conference. I wasn't sure if it was going to be worth it as it is 5 hours drive away (with my MIL . They wanted bags of mints to put their new helpline number on to hand out and I also did them table favours for the gala dinner.

I did well with the toys and stuff and sold out of a few things, and handed out loads of cards so perhaps my website sale will pick up as I have loads of stoking filler type stuff. I really should be putting all my new stock on my site just now but have to go to town now.

Beccarolloveragain · 09/10/2006 12:49

Sounds interesting

can i have a link to your site?
