Suatchette - I will definitely be buying some teething powders this morning. Why didn't I think of it before?
DS was up loads, and spent most of the night in our bed.

Dad brought me flowers from his garden yesterday, so my mission is done.

morning!
since we didn't fly yesterday you all were 'allowed' to stay up a bit longer - otherwise i'd have shooed you to bed earlier

ohhh, i like kellys mission today - will get some on monday instead. we are off today
packed till past 11 yesterday, dp came home at 3ish am (did only half a shift to get up earlier today) and kids had me up at 6am - so i am rather tired. and i think i have a cold coming

oh well, it's dd's birthday today - but will take everything with us and celebrate with the whole bunch we are going to meet - she'll love it

so not much flying from me today; i will try and leave the house tidyish - it's just so much nicer to come back to a not bombsite!

so, anyone got nice plans for the weekend?

SusiSkelletonInTheCloset · 06/10/2006 07:28

oh and re teething: i tried everything (gels and powders) but in the end i gave them calpol! it's just peace for everyone (and all the other things wear off so quickly and everyone is stressed)

jasnDISMemBERED · 06/10/2006 07:38

Happy birthday SS dd.
Have a lovely weekend.

I did calpol him last night.
I'm a big softie with my babies, and can't let him cry (plus dp is up for work at 5.30, so when he woke at 4.15, I cvouldn't leave hm)

Yippee....

Treated myself to flowers on Tuesday as I had a gaggle of mums coming round for coffee Wednesday morning.... so my mission is done!!

won't get any other flying done today either, am out all day....

Have a good day all....

batinshoes · 06/10/2006 07:47

Morning all.

Happy Birthday SS's DD.

Ref medela breast pumps (from last night). I used one in hospital and it is great - very effective, less fiddly and quicker than the hand pumps.

Am amazed at Kelly's mission as DH came home with flowers last for the 1st time this year!!! I put them in living room though so i can see them...

Tired today and not too motivated to FLY but have shiny sink, clean kitchen and put washing on.

TortUREoiseChamber · 06/10/2006 08:58

Morning.
Happy birthday SS's DD.
Weather bad again and as its friday I have to walk the girls to contact with their dad.(about mile walk). Not until 1 though so hope it dries up a bit by then!!
Remembered to put bin out and recycling! got wet doing it though!
Wil start FLYing soon.

QuootieSpookypie · 06/10/2006 09:09

Hello! DH has bought me make up flowers, so mission is done

Happy Birthday SSs DD!!

IvortheEngine · 06/10/2006 09:10

Will get into gear in a mo. I've sent a couple of e-mails and have one more to do then I'll get bathed and dressed. My FLYing efforts will be general housework I think. I'll need to walk the dog whilst it's not raining so I'll keep the tasks short. What's this about flowers? I gave some to a friend yesterday as a thank you, does that count or were we supposed to have some in the house ourselves?

TortUREoiseChamber · 06/10/2006 09:12

No way im buying flowers when i can't even afford gas!

SusiSkelletonInTheCloset · 06/10/2006 09:12

thanks girls!!! as soon as dd wakes up i'll give her a major birthday cuddle from you all

ivor it's meant to be a treat

SusiSkelletonInTheCloset · 06/10/2006 09:13

take the kids out and pick some?!

TortUREoiseChamber · 06/10/2006 09:14

In the rain?????

IvortheEngine · 06/10/2006 09:15

Whoops! Sorry. I clicked on the link in the Thursday thread, you see, and so I missed reading the title of the thread! Does carrying the Christmas Cactus into the kitchen from the conservatory count? If not, I'll e-mail dh in work to tell him that I'd like flowers esp freesias.

IvortheEngine · 06/10/2006 09:17

Rain? What rain? There's some blue sky outside my window! Half hidden by cloud, granted, but it's not raining atm. Wales is where it's at, folks!

TortUREoiseChamber · 06/10/2006 09:20

Well Ivor its on its way too you!!
Its pissing down here in Somerset!!

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 06/10/2006 09:23

Im not wasting money on something that will die in a few days!!!

My mission for today is upstairs - clearing out the bedrooms and the bathroom.

Need to get loads of washing done - my poor tumble dryer will be on overload again today.... bloomin rain!

I dont mind it being cold, just not wet!!!

TortUREoiseChamber · 06/10/2006 09:25

I have a huge pile of washing to do too but that will eat the electric!
Also lots say do not tumble dry so end up with washing everywhere drying!

damewalesornot · 06/10/2006 09:26

Was raining in wales yesterday, we spent the day there as DH had meeting with chap that has offered him new job. Thinking that the fact that I still loved it even in the pouring rain and big winds must be a good sign
Must try and fly today not doing well

IvortheEngine · 06/10/2006 09:36

Tortoise - No, don't send it to us, there's a good (what are you - reptile?) thing! You keep it. I'm sure you need the water more than we do. We've lots of it already, honest!

damewalesornot - Where were you? I'm mid Wales but am from the South and I've lived up North a couple of times, too.

TortUREoiseChamber · 06/10/2006 09:38

No honestly its fine! You can have it!We had plenty yesterday and other days.
DD's and I got soaked last friday walking to their dads. Then I have to pick the ds's up from school less than an hour after getting home and i only have 1 coat and 1 pair of shoes!

cheekymummy · 06/10/2006 09:46

Hello everyone. Love this thread. I feel like I have been FLYing all week and will have another go today. Fresh flowers are a definite must today, they always cheer the place up and put a smile on your face. I live in Cheshire and it's finally stopped raining, though for how long I don't know. Hope you all have a great weekend and enjoy your flowers.

Bucketsofbloodydinosaurs · 06/10/2006 09:50

Have emailed DH at work and asked him to buy me some flowers in his lunch hour. How much do you wanna bet he tells everyone at the office it was his idea ?

IvortheEngine · 06/10/2006 09:53

It's not a good idea for him to tell others, dinosaur, can you imagine the possible fallout if they follow his example?

Mr Jones - Here, darling, I have brought you some flowers!

Mrs Jones (suspiciously) - Why, what have you done or what do you want?

IvortheEngine · 06/10/2006 09:55

Oi! Tortoise - I told you to keep it. I've just put the washing on the line! Grrrr!
