How often do you wash your bras?

DH has made me wonder after he asked me if I wear a clean bra every day. I don't as I don't consider my boobs to be an 'exit'!

So how often do you wash yours?

How many do you have? I have 4 on rotation.

2-3 wears. they are expensive and want them to last.

If I have to wear one once or twice. All are hand washed cos expensive.

I quite often wear those secret support vests. Will wear them once then wash.

I have 9, and I wash them after 2 wears. I mostly wash the white ones after every wear.

I treat them like vest tops and wash after one wear. They're so close to pittage!

I only have a couple of bras that I like - lots of bra disasters - aren't they the worst thing to buy?
So, wear them for about a week, before washing.
One has a dodgy hook.
Need to buy some new ones. Wish me luck!

Um, mine aren't. They are well clear of my armpits.

I used to wear them twice, but for the last couple of months I have been sweating like a racehorse (perimenopause, I think) so I'm only wearing them once now.

Not often enough, but they don't get smelly and I don't sweat much. Hand washed.
I have 7 at the moment that I do wear.

Once a week

I have about seven. I only ever wear them for one day before washing.

I'm usually one of the slobs on the housework/laundry threads though.

I wear my bra for 5-7 days in a row. I only really wear one with certain clothes and for work though. I far prefer going bra-less!

Two days & handwash.

I get my bras from Bravissimo & they are not cheap & they recommend handwashing & I follow that.

I have machine washed bras & as mine are underwired it does not do them any favours - it certainly distorts the wire.

Once a week.

I do wear two or three pairs of knickers a day though...

I buy mine from rigby and peller and still just wash in regular wash. A women in the shop said hand washing them is overrated now and makes very little difference. Mine that are 10 years old are in same condition as ones 6 months old

DH was asking just out of interest as I was rummaging around in the laundry pile for a clean one!

I wash mine about once a week. Might have to up my game and do it more often. Have to hand wash the ones I've got -recently ruined a brand new one! Oops! (Front top edge of cups turned out).

Anyone else use those hideous-looking laundry domes from Lakeland?

Also reported back to DH about the average number of bras you own in the hope he might take the hint and get me a few nice ones for Christmas!

Are you sure you don't want to try them first?

i do a handwash cycle in the machine and always use a net bag.

A put a clean one on every other day, when I've had a shower. I have 5 on rotation at the moment and bung them in with whatever is washing as they are maternity bras and have seen better days. I need to buy some new ones but these are comfy.

i give mine 2-3 days before a wash

i have three, plus sports and strapless. could do with upgrading 2 TBH

I wear mine 4 times. And hand wash. They don't get sweaty or smelly , nowhere near pittage.

I have about 20+ bras, change them every 2-3 days. Knickers daily, sometimes twice!

My bras are expensive so only have a couple. I wash them every fortnight or so. Sports bra that I sweat in gets washed after every use, like my knickers. People wash clothes far too often!

I wash them weekly. However, I only wear them once :)
