Do you want to see a photo?
I've utilised my sarong as a runner and stacked the plates into little piles. I've presented the cutlery and chopsticks in napkins folded like pockets.

am I too sad?

tortoise · 29/09/2006 20:15

shaz! Bit OTT!! lol!!

hazelnuts · 29/09/2006 20:21

oops I forgot to say that I watch Ghost last night. I love "Dirty Dancing" to tortoise

And as for the rubbish. I could not get xp1 to even put rubbish in the bin, let alone take it out for me. Xp2 was good though. He put the wheelie bin out when he went to work early. He just left the bag that was in the bin so I could put the wet nappies in it when I got up with the DC. I sometimes got it out before the rubbish men came to get it It was only a shopping bag to put in the wheelie bin

I watched 'Are we there yet?' in bed last night.
it was quite funny!
I have always been the one to put the rubbish out! Exept very few times(ie just after having dd)!

hazelnuts · 29/09/2006 21:29

I am sort of watching "the 40 year old virgin" at mo,its a bit funny.
I have to do the rubbish now. I always forget about the bank holidays though. I dont put it out but I forget to the next time.Which is the next week. They get our rubbish every 2 weeks. If the bank holiday falls in that week, they then get it the next week and the week after that too, then they go back to every 2 weeks again. Easy to put in writing but not to do it

tortoise · 29/09/2006 21:37

We have just changed to fortnightly collections! They sent the wrong dates out so i missed the 1st collection! So will have 4 weeks of rubbish! Luckily don't have loads as take lots out for recycling.

SusiS · 29/09/2006 21:52

lol are we still on that 'rubbish' topic??

haven't done much flying today; kids wanted all my attention; i did cook a nice dinner though (as usual ) and kitchen is clean again!

did some washing though; have to do my daily load
and the toys are all off the floor

tortoise · 29/09/2006 22:16

Can you pop round and do my kitchen please?
I don't really want to be faced with it for a 3rd morning in a row

squatchette · 29/09/2006 22:19

Hi FLYERS,am i too late to join in again?Oh well I'll just have a ramble on to myself then what's new . Honestly my kids just don't need sleep DD 3.5 goes to sleep about 10pm and is up again at 7 am and dd2 is more 8pm till 6am on a good day,
Fridays are always a rush for me i go to the chemist first thing grab a few bits at shops to make a crockpot tea for later as i know i'll be out all afternoon and we come back starving and knackered! Then i strip the beds quickly bung in a load of washing and fold what ever is in the dryer. Then i get the kids ready to go hospital for dd with tracheostomys weekly tube change and weigh in.After hospital it's usualy about 4-5pm so i try and do the proper shop if there's time left but there wasn't today so we just got enough for the wkend and hurried home due to the rain .Got a puncture in double buggy bloody conkers, every year it happens.Using old single buggy left rain cover in a taxi ages ago so dd had to hold brolly over herself and suction machine on back whilst i got wet no coat forgot in the rush.We must have looked a right jam butty family disabled child in crappy old pram mum no coat god WHY ME!!
DD2 was with dad luckily she's only 2 but can walk alot faster and doesn't get tired they were also at hospital visiting uncle who'd been in car smash and lost his partner tragicaly she wasn't wearing her seat belt and he was. We've had a bit of a bad week to be honest sorry to unload but we've had 2 deaths and found out my uncle who lives in spain is dying of liver cancer we thought he was getting better it was only skin cancer a month or so ago.
Bucketfullofdinosaurs are you living in my house too.We have the slug prob drives me mad as i can't stand them and don't know how they get in teleporting moluscs??i'll have to check the floor boards now you've mentioned it .We're ripping our carpet up soon any way just been on a thread about poo stains on carpets oh the excitement my life bestows.dd age 2 not potty trained yet and the elder one has regular accidents because of her bowel prob.Anyway i digress i'm going to try salt genius !why didn't i think of that (don't answer)Don't want to find their half disolved bodies all over the place in the morning though my slugs are nocturnal too.
My kitchen is almost finished had the workmen in again today finishing off the sockets and painting i've gone for a cheery 'chiffon yellow' in kitchen part and a pale citrus green in the utility room where i do all my washing drying and keep the fridge freezer.Going to pick a car this wkend if we get chance can't wait to get mobile the bus drivers are starting to know me by name and i climb in a taxi and they tell me my address! That was yesterday.
Hoping to get lots done fly wise this wkend although i know Marla tells us to do all that mad date night family funday and re-new your spirit day stuff.More like squable over the computer night(Fri),Catchup on all i should have got done in the week(Sat),and re-new the bottle of spirit i need by the time it's Sunday. No offence to any christians am one myself ,just about.
Well off to put the clean sheets on bed at last should have done hrs ago but been helping thy neighbour(see i'm a christian) move furniture into my spare room due to her need for space due to party they're having. We're not invited it's a Sikh gathering and like i keep saying we're christians.Well Bye for now flyers i'm ready to drop.

BarefootJasnem · 29/09/2006 22:21

The only time I haven't done the rubbish is after I had dd2 (c section) for a couple of weeks. Being 9 months pregnant or having just given birth is not a reason not to do it. DP would if I remind/tell him to, but won'toffer

Is tonight date night? I've got wine and chocolate for company, and am faling asleep in front of the tv, so I'll be off to bed soon.

Kitchen is clean, and sink is shiny (at last).

Do we get a whole week in the dining room next? It's my worst room, and I need to move furniture in here. I'm hoping to get it done Sunday, as I can't move the sofa from here to lounge on my own.

BarefootJasnem · 29/09/2006 22:28

Squatchette. You really are coping with alot at the moment... no help here, exceptcheck the skirting boards for slug entrances.(My area of expertise) I lived in a house with little walls of salt round the entire rooms to protect from slugs at one point . (I hate them ) They get in from external walls (YUK)

squatchette · 29/09/2006 22:44

Hi barefoot yeah my life does sound pretty hectic when you see it all wrote downi suppose. Our house is quite old 1906 so there's probably lots of gaps in the skirting boards actualy since the kitchen ones were replaced the slugs have diminished somewhat.Next time i hoover the skirting boards some time in 2009 at this rate i'll check them!
Kids both still awake just made them a little snack of veg sticks and cheese and ham wraps despite the spag bol they had only a few hrs ago .I'll have to go put their fresh sheets on soon or they'll be sleeping with me good job i left mine till tomorrow there are some benefits to procrastinating after all.
As for the rubbish that's my job and i always forget until i see the neighbours putting their wheelies out i never get the right day for recycling either must put it on the calendar now there's a thought, thanks for the inspiration.

tortoise · 29/09/2006 23:07

squatchette Thats was a massive post! Sounds like you have had a tough day.
I got soaked twice and that was horrible without all the extra you have had to deal with.

Skribble · 29/09/2006 23:10

Shaz, dinner table sounds lovely, it is nice do do stuff like that as it makes it feel a bit special, and it feels good to do special things.

squatchette- take a breath .

So who is going to be orgainised and have all the school clothes washed for next week? I managed it last week and have the darks in already to put on at some point over the weekend.
