Soogy clothes,,,,

leander · 29/09/2006 11:40

Right I'm not yet a flyer but i keep peaking on this thread and you all make me feel soooo guilty.I dont think I can actually manage the proper flying so am just gonna try my best.Usually after dropping ds at school i come home and sit on mn and before i know it 2 hrs have past!
This morning i have brushed and mopped all downstairs floors,
done 3 loads of washing,
and done kitchrn.
Not sure what to tackle this afternoon yet.

tortoise · 29/09/2006 11:43

At last i have a clean, tidy and dusted computer desk!
It looks heaps better.
Now what to do next!!!

Bucketsofdinosaurs · 29/09/2006 11:44

Well done Leander, I could have written that post week before last! Although my house is an eternal whirlpool of untidiness, these threads are helping me do some actual cleaning so hopefully the constant mess won't get me down so much.

singersgirl · 29/09/2006 12:00

Just checking in again. Will not do today's mission as I have got lots on. Just basic keeping tidy!

Beccarolloveragain · 29/09/2006 12:01

Ok....have now finished DDs Room, DSs Room and hoovered and cleaned the upstairs landing and windows.

Phew downstairs now. Going to have another cuppa (and a ciggie tut tut) now and start on the kitchen which is already have done thanks to Flying!

Im going to SO appreciate this when I get back on Sunday!

tinshoes · 29/09/2006 12:57

OK, sounds like we're all doing little bits which I guess is the principle of FLYing so lets not beat ourselves up

Bucket - DD was potty trained 3 months ago but about once a week she seems to lapse and has 1-2 accidents. I'm never sure whether to be 'cross mummy' or 'understanding mummy' but at least my sofa is leather so easy to clean. And I already planned to clean the carpets this weekend. lol.

Keep going everyone!

BarefootJasnem · 29/09/2006 13:00

Kitchen is reasonable, sink is empty but not shiny.
I have no motivation at the moment.

I'm out to help at dds school this afternoon, but am resolving to get my act together at the weekend...

almostanangel · 29/09/2006 13:02

SLUGS!! under floorboards why!!??????

Bucketsofdinosaurs · 29/09/2006 13:31

Tinshoes, I'd leave the carpets for another month or two but then I'm leaving mine for another year until DS is pottytrained

Bucketsofdinosaurs · 29/09/2006 13:34

Basically we moved in in June and plonked the giant sofa down and heaved a sigh of relief. I moved it a bit the other day and found slug trails behind it, emanating from a hole in the floorboards!

tortoise · 29/09/2006 14:13

Im back from taking girls to their Dad for contact.Got totally drenched.I have dried and got chnged and have to leave in about 15 mins to pick ds's up from school!
My trainers were soaked too so have had to get out my old DM boots!
I was hoping for a little time to FLY before picking ds's up.
Oh well!!
(still pissing down too!)

shazronnieWEARINGSHOES · 29/09/2006 14:27

I got wet on the way to mother and toddler group, so i had to sit in a draughty church hall feeling soggy.

but this pm i have...
cleaned kitchen, inc shined hob
cleaned bathroom (quick scrub, not full clean)
mopped kitchen and hall

and before I went out I...
emptied dishwasher
made the bed
took recycling out

so not too bad a day so far

tortoise · 29/09/2006 14:30

Well hats off to you for going!I would of stayed home!
i don't want to go out again! I have no coat to wear apart from a thick fleece and its too hot for that!
Im going to look lilke a drowned rat when i get home!! so will the boys.Leat the new contact superviser is driving the dd's home.
better go now.

Flamesparrow · 29/09/2006 14:37

AAA!!!! When did you come back?!?!?!

How's things going???

(Oh, I'm back btw so if you can all start nagging me again that'd be good).

We have a kitchen full of slugs - they come out between 1am and 6am (I know if I go down to sort a bottle or something), and leave trails every bloody where.

Skribble · 29/09/2006 15:05

Afternoon all, quick cuppa before kids get in.

Lunch with MIl was great, we went to the coffe morning at the school, Ds had volunteered to look after the play corner for the little ones, so he spent the whole time playing with toys and retrieving them from around the hall.
Got back and I made tomato tarts and salad for lunch. Absolutly gorgeous!!! if i do say so myself . Never done anything like them before and I think they may become a regular now. Went in for a bit of shopping after and dropped her off.

She was astounded at the way the house was, I explined it was on going and that I was not up all night tidying, she agreed that it looked different from my usual frenzied clear ups.

I am looking forward to hosting Christmas again this year, I even offered PIL our room so they can stay Christmas Eve, last year they slept out in their caravan and were freezing . I know come Christmas my room will be lovely, I might even be folding little guest towels Anthea style .

Bucketsofdinosaurs · 29/09/2006 17:29

Oh Skribble that's really inspiring. I long for a house that people might want to stay in. How's that for kick off your computer seat Flamesparrow?

I have today commissioned my dad to make me shelves for my lounge alcoves (well he must be bored now he's finished making my dining table .) Then we'll be able to sort out all the boxes of books that are littering the house since the move. Once that's done and I sort out a window blind it will double as a spare room (giant sofa is actually an Ikea double sofabed.)
Have finally finished labelling up all 26 items for tomorrow's NCT sale, bloody complicated rules they have. Plan is to come back with less than I took but these things often get out of hand.

Skribble · 29/09/2006 17:48

I did the kids puffy fingers with their tea tonight with the left over pastry, DS was really diasapointed when hee couldn't find the sausage meat, he thought htye were sausage rolls .

Pouring at home time today, so I thought will I be a nice mummy and run along to meet them with a brolly, nah I just put down 2 of my grab towels for when they came in dripping .

..My grab towels are the ones with dodgy stains etc that I keep whole and use incase of spillages etc instead of grabbing my decent ones, some are cut up for the rag bag.

Piffle · 29/09/2006 17:50

this week I've decluttered ds's rom and dd's toy room, moved some furniture round and am noticing that a little every day leads to MORE spare time not less
Everything is looking tidier, cleaner and better.
I'm on a pre fly lady clean up week I start proper next week...

Quootiepie · 29/09/2006 17:51

Hello FLYers... internet will be back Monday i hope see you then!

Skribble · 29/09/2006 17:51

You know I was just thinking...

It must be great to be a kid, you get all your meals made for you, your clothes washed, nice cosy home to come home to and you don't have to worry about buying presents or orgainising any one else.

Then I looked at my DH and thought....
Yes isn't it nice!!!

I posted this last night but I think you had all hung up your lace ups and were tucked up in bed.

Skribble · 29/09/2006 17:55

I am dreading the kids rooms, well dd's really as DS is quite good when he put his mind to it.

Both are major horders so rooms are crammed. I will do the idea od zoning hteir room so it doesn't seem such a mamoth task. Plus I want to get the m into a routine too.

A little flying a day keeps the clutter away!

hazelnuts · 29/09/2006 20:03

Evening FLYers. I have done some FLYing bits today. Been out 3 times today and got soaked 3 times
We were all drenched after getting back for school, I ran a bath and had the 3 of them in there I got DD out before I changed, I just knew they would get me wet again with the 3 of them in the bath. I was right Least they had fun. DS1 went to school fine today. I had SS on the phone, so I told them, What a waste of time They are nw going to tell xp1. They are also coming out tomorrow to see if he comes to get the DSs. They are going to tell him that they will be here. I said hes will turn up now he knows they are going to be here. and asked Why have they got to tell him for? She said, " At least he will turn up to get the DSs and that they have to tell him." Does that mean I had to put up with him playing games with DSs and lying to the SS and now still have to play his games now? I can see the smirk on his face now.
Grrrrrrrrr. I am not really looking forward to tomorrow morning now.I will have to be mrs happy when I really want to tell him to pissoff!

shazronnieWEARINGSHOES · 29/09/2006 20:05

skribble you are right!

We're having some friends over for a chinese takeaway and I've dressed the dining table.

I think i may have been watching too much Anthea...
